Sadly, I have to write a negative review of the Swampscott establishment. In the waiting room today, first, I was forced to overhear two desk staff people gossiping about a patient. Next, without boring you with details, I needed truly time sensitive assistance after hours on a Friday. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up my prescriptions, I saw that my physician made an accidental error and sent it to the wrong pharmacy. This was an issue because I am leaving town tomorrow for an extended trip. So, since it was after hours, I called their on-call provider to ask them to resend the prescription. The person helping me was well-meaning but not very educated, and took for--ev--er just to take my info and then send my message for the provider to call me back. I was told that the on call provider would call me back 'within 30 mins. Nothing. 45 mins later, I call again and ask them to mark it 'urgent'. The pharmacy is closing. I truly need my medication before I leave town. Nothing. Another full hour later, I call again, and I'm told my message would be sent to the supervisor who would get back to me immediately. Another full hour later, after it was too late for my time sensitive issue - I got a voicemail. But it was too late. The pharmacy was closed. I now don't have my meds. This is not what I expect from medical care. But I guess maybe I should, sadly. In the extremely rare times that I need after hours help, I would be nice to feel like someone is there. Not sure what happened to this practice. When I began coming here approximately 10 years ago it was wonderful. Now...rushed visits, nurses that are not pleasant, rude front desk staff, ridiculous times to wait for an appointment, everything pushed off to specialist that have 6 month waits. Not acceptable when you have issues that are affecting your day to day life. And if you're sick, you are told to go to urgent care. Not quality care! read more

The office is a hot mess. There is some issue EVERY time. They just cancelled my sons annual the day of FOR THE SECOND TIME.

Dr Shawna Barry is the worst doctor I ever had in my life. From the moment I met her I wish I never had.

My doctor was really good. I loved that I could get a blood test without an appointment. What brings them down to 2.5 stars is that I cannot for the life of me get my medical records. I followed the process and had my new doctor (I moved) send my consent form, but they never got my records from North Shore. I tried again myself, and they say I can only get my records if my doctor sends the release. Now I'm trying to get them released directly to me. We'll see if that works any better. read more

As my primary care, Dr Erika Santoro is such a good person and a good doctor. I like the NS Phys Group front desk staff. I like the nurses. Like any group some people are upbeat and actively work to assist you and others have a more conservative style. Others are just bossy but good at what they do and some are just awful. I've never run into awful at this office. They provide all the lab work right there. There is on call physicians on the weekends which I've used and found it to be very thorough and friendly. There is Urgent Care treatment at MGH, a bonus! Never used it. I have used the referral to MGH for a Physician's Assistant during a troubling diagnosis and it was very helpful. There are always means to getting an appointment in an acute situation and everyone works with you. The blood draw person in the lab is the only person I've ever been to who took a draw and I didn't even feel the sharp pricking pain of the needle being inserted! Amazing. My only qualm is they could be better at diagnosis and treatment when it comes to difficult and out of the norm type stuff. Otherwise as a gateway into the Medical System they are as good as a good primary care facility can be. Oh, and they have an online service called Patient Gateway that allows you to connect with your Primary Care office for appointments, to get test results and refill or fill a prescription. It's very useful and easy. read more

Front end staff and receptions are consistently rude. In the past four years I've never had a good experience either on the phone or in person with them. The practitioners are acceptable but the ancillary staff make for a miserable interaction. read more

This location is a little out of the way for me, but its worth it to see Dr Moore. She's an amazing doctor. Very honest and respectful, down to earth and she makes you feel comfortable. The receptionists at this office are also very pleasant and welcoming. I have a clinic closer to me but I will not chance for anything! read more

I recently moved to the area from out of state and will be switching my PCP to a different place as a result of my visit to this group. This is a terrible place and even worse their billing is outsourced making it difficult to figure out your charges. I saw Dr. Patel and did not enjoy my experience, not only is she cold, she is pushy. read more

I moved to the area a couple years ago and had to find a new primary care physician. A friend recommended Dr. Moore at North Shore Physicians and I have been so impressed with her and the staff at NSPG. Everyone there has been extremely helpful and friendly. Dr. Moore has a wonderful bedside manner and is extremely competent, friendly and professional. I feel like I have finally found a physician I can talk to candidly, which is great. read more

Dr. Moore is the most considerate,understanding,non-judgmental physician I have ever known in my 40 years in health care. If you are fortunate to have her as your PCP you will know too. The receptionist staff is very helpful and friendly.The office has a calm demeanor and the wait is never long.Dr Moore will always call you back and she will work with you and other physicians to ensure your problem gets the attention it needs.Patient Gateway is a quick and simple way to communicate with your doctor and the office for almost anything you might need.I could go on and on about the virtues of Dr Moore,her staff and North Shore Physcians Group,but see for yourself how a wonderful doctor like Dr. Moore will improve your general health and well being. read more
