Across the street from North Queen Street Surgery, this little Pharmacy does a roaring trade with all the sniffles and aches and pains that get given prescriptions from the Doctors across the street. Like any other chemist (what's the difference between a Chemist and a Pharmacist? Answers on a postcard...?) it has the obligatory sections offering hygiene, beauty and household products, as well as perfumes, sunglasses and confectionery. I find it weird to see a chemist selling sweets.... Anyway, when I've been in here to fill my own prescriptions the chemist is always very helpful, knows everyone's name and looks after them with individual care; as do the other staff also. The prices for the general items on sale seem quite reasonable too - and you can get a cheap bargain on some products if you keep your eyes peeled and avoid the big spend in the likes of Boots. All in all, a friendly pharmacy who look after their customers. read more
