I've heard so many people rave about the awesome Chinese restaurant ten minutes away from my house,…read moreand yes, it's Chairman Wang's. I invited my mom to have a dinner date with me because she's been living in Hong Kong for many years, and she absolutely loves Chinese food! Before you even enter the restaurant, you can really see how well they've decorated the restaurant! From the entrance, to the ceilings, walls, tables, absolutely everything! They serve the usual Chinese food, like siomai, Hakaw, Pork Buns, and the like.. But they've also got unique dishes I've never heard of or seen anywhere else like their Northern Style Lamb Dumplings, and their Minced Lamb wrapped in Pancake with leeks (this dish was delish!) We ordered a lot of food like the Smoked Duck Breast in Hoisin Wrap! I love duck and this dish is so good and contains a lot of vegetables! Their chicken dishes are also quite known to those who have tried them because of how good they are... I especially LOVE their sweet and sour chicken and their Honey Sesame Crispy chicken too!

Opting for a quick bite, we had pork and chive dumplings which were a tad bit small but big in size. Love the hint of star anise in its filling and black vinegar dipping sauce that came with it (I usually request for black vinegar at other dimsum places). On the other hand, the beef Hofan was pretty good and textbook stir fry- good balance of flavor and textures. Both dishes came too oily but that's synonymous with Chinese comfort food!

Such an amazing place for brunch !! We went two mornings while staying at the hotel. I ate so many…read moredelicious items! The first morning I had silog with tamarind chicken and pork asada, and lots of crispy Danggit! The congee was amazing! U added every topping possible plus fresh calamansi juice! Also had lychee chia pudding one morning and blueberry the next. The lycée was absolutely delicious! We consumed heaps of the most delicious dragon fruit. Now onto the pastries!! One morning they had bread and butter pudding squares and the other morning they had taisan bread. Both were so scrumptious!! Our server Harven was a delight! Friendly, got us warm milk, and answered my 6 million questions! We also took pictures in the back patio that overlooked Laguna de Bay. Beautiful views in every direction. They also had pineapple and mango jam! New jam flavors to me that were delicious on my cream cheese filled French toast. My husband also tries the miso ramen and the fresh salad with a great sesame dressing. In other words, we ate everything, everyone was so friendly and the views are incredible.

Though it operates as a rooftop bar and restaurant, they also offer buffet breakfast for in-house guests. FOOD: 3/5 The overall food selection was quite limited, primarily a mix of Filipino, American, Chinese and other International dishes. The food was decent but could have been better overall. SERVICE: 5/5 I noticed that most of the servers were male while a few female staff at the food counter. Regardless, all of them were attentive, polite, and efficient. AMBIANCE: 4/5 Being at the rooftop, the restaurant provides a full view of the city. I can only imagine how much more stunning these views at night with the city lights. It also features a mini pool - not for use but aesthetically for decor which I believe needs a little polishing and renovation. Overall, the buffet breakfast at The Nest did its job - it fill us up in the morning, though I wished there was a wider selection. And I take my hats off to the staff at The Nest - their service were on point!

Food was good and tasted pretty authentic. I enjoyed the wonton soup and. Scallops with asparagus…read more Scallops were a tad over cooked so they were rubbery, but tasted fine. The tough part is that everything is geared for larger groups. The entree was large and meant for sharing. Also, there were any small tables. Everything was set up for larger parties. Not exactly the best situation for business travelers or folks by themselves.

The Phoenix Court in Bellevue is a fancy restaurant in the heart of Alabang's Business district…read more It's actually my second time there and the experience remains the same - excellent! Once you step inside the Phoenix court, you will be greeted by female food attendants dresses in qipao- the traditional Chinese dress. You will be brought one of the many tables inside. We always choose the round table (not sure if there's a square) because we normally have lunch there as a team. It makes it easy for us to talk to each other while waiting for our food. The food is something you'd normally find in m the menu of similarly-themed hotel restaurants. We had chicken fillet with almonds and walnuts, a seafood and egg platter, beef brocolli, fried chicken in caramel sauce, fried cuttlefish and sweet and sour pour. I've tasted all of these from different restaurant's and I can't say there's something special. They all taste the same. The staff are always at your beck and call, ever ready to take additional order or refill your water goblet. There was one staff though who spoke to our bossin the vernacular when he knew my boss who was with us that day is Chinese! So is it worth the price? Sadly no. You're better off eating somewhere because the food at the Phoenix Court is nothing to write about. I guess if you're in the area and is looking for a place big enough to treat a huge group, this here is perfect.
