Renovated from being an old cinema, this Wetherspoons pub is huge. The décor is very old man and hence attracts old men and the odd uni bod from London Met down the road. Due to its size there are always seats available. There is a large selection of ales on draught and they are popular. With the price anywhere from £1.69 to £2.50 for a pint I can understand why. The grub is the usual Wetherspoons fare, good portion sizes, with a great variety of options. The downside for me is the complete lack of atmosphere. OAP's and draught bear aren't the dynamics for a hellraising evening. It is a shame because the Coronet could be a fantastic pub, as it has everything going for it. If you are having a night on the sauce, I suggest coming her first, just to make the most of the cheap booze, and then head off to somewhere livelier.

The music is good, the bar maids are cute and the booze is cheap. They only have Sam Miguel and Carlington on tap. The place has an awesome glow to it, once inside it transports you to the other side of the world. Come in, meet the owner Will, he is a great laugh and it seems he has pretty much opened the pub just so his mates can come in and drink cheap Sam Miguel. Awesome place!

Side point: a very nice size goblet indeed. I also had a really good lager that I think I forgot to take a picture of. My friends each had a Jack and Coke, which they enjoyed. I can see this place being great during the evening or summer time as there is an outdoor seating area with picnic benches. Inside, there are enough sitting spaces and a descent size bar. I didn't get the chance to explore more of the pub but I liked it. On the left hand side of where I sat, just to the right of the bar, is what I assumed to be the kitchen separated from the sitting area only by a short brick wall. There was only a brick arch which I liked the look of by the kitchen. I hope to come here again during the evening to test the vibe but I can imagine, being close to a park, it would be great.
