This was such an amazing farm. I loved the tour we had with farmer Lysa. She was so knowledgeable and obviously cares so much for the animals. I truly believe in the mission of the farm and how they treat the animals that are luckily enough to come there. You are in for a real treat if you visit here. It was very thorough and fun.

I could not be any HAPPIER at this very moment! I wish I could share this authentic, heart-felt experience with EVERYONE. I'm so thrilled I have to use capital letters because this place is THE BEST! We were pleasantly surprised they are open and follow stringent covid safety guidelines for all their guests. We were greeted at the store and took a tour with Lisa, who exudes hospitality, compassion and warmth. She treated us city slickers to profoundly educational and poignant encounters with all the animals. These aren't typical farm animals! They are extremely social, well taken care of, and interactive. You can telli they love Lisa and are happy to share that love with you! There's so much I want to add, but you need to come see for yourself. As an adult with no children, I had so much fun. If I had kids, this would be an absolute must!

A must visit if you're in the area! Our tour guide David was very knowledgeable and being springtime there were plenty of baby animals to pet. We petted goats, sheep, cows, rabbits, alpacas, and chickens.

A hidden little gem! Ben gave us a nice tour of the farm - he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. My kids and I learned a lot. They particularly liked the petting zoo (especially the rabbits and the adorable 5 day old calf) and learning about all the animals. We bought some tasty farm-made cheese on our way out. This was one of the highlights of our Vermont vacation.

This was so much fun for all of us! we are two senior citizens, one forty something and a ten year old. we ALL loved the tour!! seeing the tiny baby bunnies was a highlight as was watching the tiny pigs zooming around their mother. we interacted with goats, sheep, donkeys, calves, turkeys, ducks and chickens. Ben, our guide was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. he obviously loves those animals and knows all of their names! thank you, Ben, for giving us a most enjoyable day!

I loved the experience this farm gave us! Cows, bunnies, donkeys, chickens, alpacas, and even more. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and is more than willing to help you get the hands on experience you want!! For such a small admission price, it's unbelievable!! Thank you, North Meadow Farm!

Drove by and saw the sign yesterday and brought the family back today. We were the only ones there so we got the run of the place. Very family friendly we got to see and pet sooo many animals! Goats, sheep, two big draft horses, baby cows, pigs with piglets, chickens, baby quail and turkeys. The place where the house the animals could be a touch more organized, but you can tell it's a local family farm so it doesn't bother me but others may expect something a bit more polished. The store however is very polished, organized and crazy great clean. We bought some butt bacon for hubby and cheese for me. I definitely recommend a stop!

A visit to this farm must be on everyone's bucket list. We were greeted my one of the farmers , Lysa, who was so beyond kind. The country store upon entry is adorable and sells tons of locally made products and of course ice cream ! Little did I know this quickly became the best day of my life. Lysa first brought us into the barn where we met a bunch of angels : 4 newborn calves and the rest of the cow gang ! As vegetarians , me and my boyfriend adored meeting the cows and felt so comforted by the love and care shown to these animals. We continued on the meet the chickens , pigs , ducks , rooster , horses , donkeys , alpacas and sheep (in that order). The cherry on the sundae was getting to hold Moon, the newborn sheep. Lysa made this day so wonderful. And we couldn't leave without buying a locally made sorbet pop! Id you're in the area this place is a must - go. 5 stars !!!

If you want to learn how cheese is made, get a feel of Vermont local farming, be up close and personal with cows, rabbits, goats, horses, pigs, goose and chickens; this is the perfect farm to visit. The farm owner Lisa is extremely knowledgeable with a great personality.

Ben was such an amazing tour guide, very informative and passionate about all of the animals. We love learning and getting to pet/hold the sheep and bunnies. Would definitely recommend visiting and checking out their store on the way out.

The owner of @wunderwoven in West Wardsboro recommended we make the 30min drive from Stratton to North Meadow Farm and it couldn't have been a better experience. We spent an hour plus with volunteer, Bella, giving us a guided tour of the farm. We were able to see all the farm animals including being able to hold chickens, baby chicks, turkey's, rabbits, ducks and baby goats. They also had beautiful piggies, alpacas and cows. The farm store was staffed by her younger brother, Ben and they had so many offerings from different cuts of meats, cheeses fresh milk, eggs and ice cream. I would highly recommend paying them a visit!

Love it here. Free…read morecompletely free - no admission fee, no parking fee. Very friendly people. Small business vibes. Follow your maps and once you cross the bridge they have tons of signs to direct you, hard to get lost. Trust they're hours, we showed up in the pouring rain and they're still open 9am-5pm weekdays. As soon as you walk in you'll get free samples. We sampled 5 cheeses and 2 grades of maple syrup - it sells itself. One cheese is made with unpasteurized milk - others include sharp cheddar, sage, smoked. Convinced me to try traveling home with cheese for the first time. Tons of products available for sell including from other farms as well. I recommend picking up some of the Red Kite Candy caramels they have there. If you liked it as much as me their factory is about a 30 min drive away. Other activities include petting animals (not in winter), walking trail, and self guided tour of their maple house. Wasn't able to do the trail in the rain but I would estimate you can do all of this in 2 hours. Not at all like Billings Farm if you're concerned about going to both or only have time for one. Billings has an admission fee, no samples of milk or cheese though the make both. More of a museum but they do have up close interactions with their cows (even in winter) for the kids, butter churning, candle dipping. Recommend Billing for taking kids on homesteading field trip, Sugarbush a quick stop for foodie/charcuterie person IMPORTANT: They do NOT sell sugarbush products at any of the stores in Woodstock so don't plan to buy more later and have regrets like us - we looked in every store and couldn't find it. Not sure about Quechee though. Products can also be ordered online and shipped

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!

I am so glad to get the experience of meeting lots of these beautiful animals in these farm. Woodland meadow farm is a working farm. The owners breed alpacas for business. They started with only 3 alpacas and now after 11 years of operation, they have 73 total of different mixed breeds. It is a huge farm that can accommodate all the animals daily activities. Alpacas are adorable, charming and friendly. As per understanding, alpacas are raised basically for their luxurious and expensive fibers. It is being sell per pound to turn into hats, scarves, blankets , sweaters etc. If at once you received an item made of alpacas fiber, it is said to be a precious possession that lasts years time. They are scheduled to be sheered once a year. During our visit, the owner let me dip my finger how much deep one alpaca fiber has , about 4 inches deep. Cool! We witnessed the love of the owners to these creatures , an inspiration to reckon with. Being said , who knows, I maybe farming these wonderful creatures in the future or may get one as pet. We learned a lot about alpacas from the owners during this visit. The farm is worth visiting if you have the love for these animals. Come visit the farm and get to experience a unique enchantment.

We rented all five cabins and barn for a wedding and with recommendations from Todd and Suzy the event was a total success. The cabins are well equipped with everything you need for your stay and the views a truly breathtaking, sitting on the patio looking across the valley. The hiking trails around the farm are nice and there was plenty to do around the local area during our four-night stay. The adults had a great time around the fire pit at night that Todd setup and the children had a great time during the day exploring, hiking and using the great play area. The cabin was well appointed, had some fancy soap and for the first time, we could use the provided shampoo (which was sulfate and paraben free) because our kiddos have curly hair. We also have a 2 plus year old and they were super nice in lending us a pack and play along with a mattress in it. I'm not sure about the odd experiences the other reviewer had because nothing of the same sort ever happened to us in the least. Todd and Suzy were super nice and helpful. Our kid loved doing farm chores every morning with Suzy. Both kids think she is the "best farmer" ever. She has an incredible amount of patience as she listened to their many farm related stories while we "helped" with farm chores. I say "helped" because the work was extremely light so don't worry about it. In terms of flexibility, they have been great. We had to move our booking because of the covid situation last year and they were incredibly helpful.

Another volunteer raved about their cheeses and farm to table dining events. Once I went to an event, I was hooked. I've now been visiting this magical place for the farm to table lunches or dinners each summer for the past 4 years. They also have some dates in the spring and fall. Jody and his wife Luisa, who was raised in Tuscany, run this farm. When you first arrive, you start with an aperitivo (addictive, delicious bread with olive oil and salt) in a beautiful, expansive barn. You'll also be offered a flute of rose or prosecco, water, or sparking water. There may have been another non-alcoholic beverage option. During this time, each duo in your dinner party will see Luisa and select a bottle of wine for dinner. They import the wines from the Tuscany region of Italy. You'll hang around for half an hour (more or less) until a group farm tour led by Jody starts. Since you'll be touring the farm, wear some comfortable shoes. He brings you around to the rams, stalls where the sheep rest, cheese making room, and cheese storage room. After the tour, the group returns to the barn for lunch or dinner. Lunch and dinner include antipasti, primo piatto, and dolce. Dinner includes an additional course of secondo piatto. The menu is already set ahead of time, but don't worry, every bit is absolutely delicious. The antipasti changes, but has consisted of 2-3 cheeses, salumi, few crostinis with toppings, a frittata-like slice, and cippolini onions soaked in balsamic vinegar. I could live off this kind of plate for the rest of my life. The primo piatto is a handmade pasta (ravioli, malloreddus, gnudi, etc). The second piatto is meat (pork medallions, braised chicken thighs, etc). For dolce, I've only had the Panna cotta, made with their ricotta. This is all served at a leisurely place. You'll be seated with your dinner party, and also next to other lucky diners at an extra long table. At the end of dinner, I've never gone home empty handed and end up buying a few of their farm's cheeses (Pecorino Al Tartufo if I'm lucky), salumi, limoncello, and their extra virgin olive oil. It's a perfect spot to bring guests from out of town. All my friends and family who have visited rave about this experience. Jody and Luisa are welcoming and very hard working people. I can't imagine how many hours they must put into working on this farm during weekdays, and then on the weekends hosting these lunches and dinners. The experience is well worth the price.
