I put my name on the list and after 2 months, I got the call I was waiting on. After a 20 hour drive, I was not excited for the move-in process but again, the staff came through. Katie and Heather had already done the legwork by the time I pulled in and in 5 minutes I had the keys in my hand. I've been here for a year now and I love this complex. The pool and gym are fantastic, the landscaping is really well done, and the apartment layout is great. Throughout the year I have had a handful of maintenance requests, all were completed quickly and the maintenance staff is phenomenal. All the small details the staff works so hard on honestly made El Paso start to feel like home. Shortly after renewing my lease, my job had me moving again. I was really worried about needing to break my lease but luckily, they have several paths for going about it. With minimal stress, and expense to me, the staff helped me navigate the process and the moveout was relatively painless. Everything about the complex, location, and apartment were wonderful but it's the front office and maintenance staff that make Avalon West the best apartment in El Paso. The water gets cut off quite frequently by the maintenance team, with notices being sent out on a weekday an hour before the water is cut off(when 99% of people are at work). The front office people are professional. However maintenance and parking are a nightmare. If you can look past that then I guess it's an okay place to live. Very convenient,safe location, very close to everything, which include an Airport and Costco. Also they provides military discount and they dont have extra allocated bills. The Management is running this place very professionally and very kind people also. For starters the condos are conveniently located on El Paso's West Side - close to pretty much every amenity you might need and just a 10 min drive to downtown. The condos sit right up next to the Franklin Mnts, with hiking trails practically right outside the front door. The unit was carefully stocked with all of the basics - including in unit laundry, just about every kitchen utensil you can imagine, and of course furniture, linens, etc. A desk and office in one of the bedrooms worked exceptionally well for me when working from home. The grounds are well maintained, well lit at night, and the folks I met who were permanent residents were overwhelmingly friendly and courteous. In addition to all of this there were several instances where I needed help from Bob or Carolyn - recommendations for certain things, or help letting family in the unit when they were visiting and I wasn't able to be there to meet them. Bob and/or Carolyn were always happy to assist if they were able. They were also always up for a friendly chat about salsa, local restaurants, tennis, or just about anything. I truly felt like we became friends during the short time I stayed at Camelot. I can't recommend these units enough for a short or medium term stay. All while in the background, there were about 12 people partying towards the jacuzzi side of the pool area drinking beer bottles and had their music turned up very loudly. Once I parked and when I came back out I found an obscene note saying to never park in that spot with a deep, 8 foot scratch from the hood of my car to the right side door. The damages ran me $1,400. This was at building 4 in space D24. They own a white Ford Focus with NM plates, so definitely avoid them at all costs. I brought this to management and they were not helpful whatsoever. When I requested video of the lot to the manager, Rocio, said she did not know how to access it. When I filed the police report, a detective came and requested the same. Rocio told him she did not see anything on video and was quite dismissive to the detective. In all honesty I don't think she even knew how or tried to access the cameras. It seems to me that they don't want to get the resident in issues. So if you like to get your car keyed for parking this is the place for you. On another note the hallways are so dirty and the entrances are filled with pigeon poop. Recently, a wild animal killed a pigeon and left it in the middle of the hallway with blood and feathers everywhere. My boyfriend complained multiple times to the office and it took them nearly a MONTH to clean it. It was very nasty. There is still pigeon poop everywhere even until now. There are lots of nice apartment options nearby with good management, nice neighbors, and clean hallways. So consider this before you sign a lease with this complex.

Not save even if gated out son's bike was stolen out of our truck in less than an hour and when asked to see cameras they don't work . Pool and Jacquzzi is constantly closed and grills are loaded with gunk cause they never clean them. Noise complaints you have to call cops directly because Mgr said they can't do anything. When calling Managers Manager off Montana to explain concerns and provide pictures he was focused on so you are moving out dont forget to give us your notice no empathy at all. Needless to say same time we moved out 4 of our same neighbors did as well so that should tell you how run down this place is getting and has gotten. We even had a neighbor that was busted by cops and sled that was on El Paso most wanted 2 doors down so talk about background checks being tweaked so that anyone can rent here yup sure are.
