Once I parked and when I came back out I found an obscene note saying to never park in that spot with a deep, 8 foot scratch from the hood of my car to the right side door. The damages ran me $1,400. This was at building 4 in space D24. They own a white Ford Focus with NM plates, so definitely avoid them at all costs. I brought this to management and they were not helpful whatsoever. When I requested video of the lot to the manager, Rocio, said she did not know how to access it. When I filed the police report, a detective came and requested the same. Rocio told him she did not see anything on video and was quite dismissive to the detective. In all honesty I don't think she even knew how or tried to access the cameras. It seems to me that they don't want to get the resident in issues. So if you like to get your car keyed for parking this is the place for you. On another note the hallways are so dirty and the entrances are filled with pigeon poop. Recently, a wild animal killed a pigeon and left it in the middle of the hallway with blood and feathers everywhere. My boyfriend complained multiple times to the office and it took them nearly a MONTH to clean it. It was very nasty. There is still pigeon poop everywhere even until now. There are lots of nice apartment options nearby with good management, nice neighbors, and clean hallways. So consider this before you sign a lease with this complex.

Moved in during COVID when Rocio was manager now Carlos is there and only likes to party with the people there constantly. Building has gone down the drain for the amount we paid. Dog park is a joke no one picks up after their dogs and no bags available for weeks at a time. Not save even if gated out son's bike was stolen out of our truck in less than an hour and when asked to see cameras they don't work . Pool and Jacquzzi is constantly closed and grills are loaded with gunk cause they never clean them. Noise complaints you have to call cops directly because Mgr said they can't do anything. When calling Managers Manager off Montana to explain concerns and provide pictures he was focused on so you are moving out dont forget to give us your notice no empathy at all. Needless to say same time we moved out 4 of our same neighbors did as well so that should tell you how run down this place is getting and has gotten. We even had a neighbor that was busted by cops and sled that was on El Paso most wanted 2 doors down so talk about background checks being tweaked so that anyone can rent here yup sure are.

The place looks quite a bit nicer in online pictures than it does in person…read more The buildings are pretty run down and the apartments look pretty old. It just seems to have been built on a pretty small budget, as things seem to break a lot. When I moved in, it smelled horribly of cat pee. I haven't been able to get rid of that smell since I got here months ago. I think they recently switched management and it seems to be running much smoother now. I've never had a problem with the ladies working in the office and the maintenance men are always quick to get the job done. All of the employees that I have met have been very generous. They have two pools, a splash pad, community grills, and a dog park. Overall, the maintenance of these areas is decent. However, people at the dog park are extremely disrespectful and don't clean up after their pets so it tends to smell. A lot of the problems I have had in this place are with the residents, and not management or the apartment itself. Many people let their pets go to the bathroom on the balcony or in the common outdoor areas and don't clean up after them so the smell can be unbearable on super hot days. There is also trash and cigarette butts all over the ground outside, but it seems like that is cleaned weekly. Overall, the place is pretty cheap and you get what you pay for. It's not bad for first apartments or people on a budget. Just don't come in with high expectations and you shouldn't be too disappointed!

Because of this, they immediately offered to put window units in my apartment to keep me comfortable until they could fix the issue, which they did first thing the next morning. The management and maintenance teams always work together seamlessly, and that consistent support is a big reason I return every time I move back from out of state. Cristina, Nancy, and the entire crew create a true sense of community, especially through their holiday cookouts, where people don't just grab a burger and leave; they stay, talk, and genuinely get to know one another. I put my name on the list and after 2 months, I got the call I was waiting on. After a 20 hour drive, I was not excited for the move-in process but again, the staff came through. Katie and Heather had already done the legwork by the time I pulled in and in 5 minutes I had the keys in my hand. I've been here for a year now and I love this complex. The pool and gym are fantastic, the landscaping is really well done, and the apartment layout is great. Throughout the year I have had a handful of maintenance requests, all were completed quickly and the maintenance staff is phenomenal. All the small details the staff works so hard on honestly made El Paso start to feel like home. Shortly after renewing my lease, my job had me moving again. I was really worried about needing to break my lease but luckily, they have several paths for going about it. With minimal stress, and expense to me, the staff helped me navigate the process and the moveout was relatively painless. Everything about the complex, location, and apartment were wonderful but it's the front office and maintenance staff that make Avalon West the best apartment in El Paso. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to rent here!

The pool monitor was more concerned about us than the people partying.
