The staff are waaaay nicer and definitely efficient. Don't expect any sort of hello when you enter Placemakers. Need assistance? The 10 staff on the floor are suddenly no where to be found. We came in recently to buy outdoor rubbish bins. We found them (sans lids, which were missing) and headed to the check-out counter, which was manned by one lone ranger. After watching them struggle to process the transaction of the lady in front of us we gave up and drove down the road to Bunnings! Pick up your game Placemakers!

I am a huge trinket and ornament person and if I had infinite funds to spend on junk my house would be filled with... well, crap. Cool crap that is. The kind of dinky stuff you find in this shop. Quaint little ornaments, cool wall hangings and some cool Kiwiana stuff. The prices are pretty inexpensive. I know there are some places where you pay an arm and a leg for some plain wood thing to hang on the wall but here everything seems pretty tame. Besides that though there's nothing particularly special about this place but it's definitely worth a nosy if you're wondering past.

With a pending repair job to my shed, I realised I needed to buy white screws (do you even get white screws), so off to Bunnings I went... As I drove down Constellation Drive, I noticed Hylton Parker Fasteners on the side of the road, so i thought maybe they can help. And they could, and they did. Simon, the highly visible salesman, offered me his full attention, and managed to run me through the various options available. He explained that they are normally geared for the trade, but are happy to service walk in customers. I was impressed with the level of service, and the informative approach Simon took to the sales process. I will return, even though I only ever do handy man work every second year.

It…read morehas a bit of an awkward entrance at the moment, though I think this might be temporary becouse it is undergoing construction or something like that. At this mega store you can get absolutely everything that you need for your home. If you are wanting to build, repair, restore or create something for the home or even garden then you can get everything you need here. And becouse this store is fairly new it means that their product range is very current, and that they are offering the newest of everything that Mitre 10 has available. The staff are very friendly and efficient, they will let you be on your way but are always on your case to see if you are all sorted for what you came in for, not in a pushy way though which is nice.

We are currently building a house at Hobsonville Point and Apollo Bathrooms and Kitchens are doing…read moreour kitchen. We went there to talk with Nathan, the guy in charge of our kitchen and he was so helpful. We were tossing up between lots of different colours and textures and he wasn't pushy but definitely gave very good advice where we needed it. He was able to take us through the whole build and how it would all play out. In front of him he had our plans but he also was able to show us example of how it would look made up with their show kitchens that they have on display. This was great as we could see our plans transform from lines on a page to a real 3D object that we could touch, open and experience. It got me really excited and gave us a way better picture of what we wanted.
