Thank you to Dr. Higgins and his amazing Staff at Chiropractic & Therapy Center in Carlsbad, CA…read more I'm on a journey with him and I can say that I am almost Pain Free! I'm HAPPY to report now that I'm about a 2 and 3-4 on a bad day, but still working through the plan... read on if you have the time to heal yourself and do your homework...... My Story; I have lower back, sciatic, neck, shoulder, arm and elbow pain. The back and sciatic pain hit me last Sept. and I had never seen a Chiropractor. I had just dealt with the pain from my job for years, so much so that I thought the pain on a daily basis was just normal and never the time to worry about it, until the sciatic/lower back pain started again. My husband stated I should go see Dr. Higgins and that he thought he was wonderful, professional and knew what he was doing!! Off I went early January because I couldn't deal any longer. First impression of his staff and Dr. Higgins; very professional, precise, friendly and personable. He consulted me, I received a verbal plan, which included initial x-rays to speak to problem areas (not just my sciatic/sacrum but my other issues too). He reviewed the x-rays with me and then he devised a thorough written plan to relieve me from the initial pain and suffering, and into rehabilitation chiropractic care which includes four detailed phases; "fixing the problem" which includes; Relief (Corrective), followed by Healing, Rehabilitation (Strengthening) and Sustainment. He also included working my arms/shoulder stemmed from my neck out of alignment causing all the muscle tightness in my shoulders and arm issues. Currently, I'm in the healing stage and can't tell you that I'm 100% better because there is so much we are working on. But I went from lower back/sciatic pain point of 9-10 to appx. a 2-3 now!! We have started most recently working more on my neck/shoulder/arm relief. There are some good days and bad days during this journey. It's getting better every day by following the 2-3 day per week adjustment/therapy visits, along with the "Back Care Instructions" they give you, the at home ice/therapy, at home exercises, at home neck/wedge treatments along with several doses of ice sessions on all the affected areas! YOU need to Love ICE besides Dr. Higgins!! Trust in me on this review and Trust in Dr Higgins! He is a good man along with his staff, they do generally care for your entire well being. He has a, let's call it "Chiropractic 101 class" and you should consider going to that. You won't be disappointed!! There are 2 other great doctors there as well. If you say I referred you, they give you the full initial consult, x-rays, plan as I stated above for $99. Good luck in your journey - Donna D. Harkey, Carlsbad, CA

I had lower back pain for at least three months with no improvements. I got so frustrated. I had to stop working and stopped taking my kids out because I can't sit for longer than 45 mins. Thankfully I found Sage hill. They helped me a lot. Acupuncture visit at Sage hill is one hour for only one patient. (The other place I went before them was about 15- 20 mins while the acupuncturist had other 1-2 patients to take care of). Acupuncturist Michael at Sage hill is very patient and listen to me about my symptoms and improvements carefully each visit. And he always takes note. He put needles in gently. Besides acupuncture, he also put a Chinese medicine patch on my back by the end of the visit without extra charge. He also did cupping for my back pain and Gua Sha for my should pain after acupuncture without extra charge as well. He taught me two stretch positions which helped my recovery before I had physical therapy. My physical therapist also recommended the same stretch positions later on. (The acupuncture I went before them didn't do anything else besides acupuncture) His wife Ivy is so nice. When I contacted them for the first appointment, they were booked out for two weeks. I needed acupuncture badly at that time. Ivy suggested the other acupuncture clinics they recommend and trust in town.
