PF is not great or terrible. It's pretty good. If you know how to focus on your muscles, the…read moreequipment will suffice. My problem isn't really with PF. My problem is with some members that don't know anything about gym etiquette. When I'm training and moving from station to station, I'll see some WINNER sitting on the ONLY incline bench there and he's doing more with his phone than training. The employees walk past him without saying a word. I'll buy these guy's memberships if they'll let me kick them out! I need to train and get ready for work.

It's good to see that most people are using them, which makes a big difference. My main concern is the air quality in the workout area. It often feels stuffy and humid, which can be uncomfortable especially during busier hours. I worry a bit about the lack of airflow, particularly in a space where people are breathing heavily or may not always be feeling 100%. It just seems like better air circulation would make the environment feel healthier and more pleasant. They do have those large overhead fans that are great when they're running high enough to really move the air that's a possible solution, if they could be set a little higher during peak times. The locker room, on the other hand, is great clean, well-kept, and comfortable Edit: Hi, thanks for your response. I was under the impression this WAS reaching out to the appropriate staff, as this message came from Planet Fitness Customer Service. I'd appreciate it if you could please forward this concern to the management team at this location, as proper air circulation really impacts the workout experience. Thank you

They…read morehave a large pool and a smaller heated pool, a large hot tub, tennis/pickleball courts, and multiple fitness areas (including an outdoor area they built during COVID) with an large variety of machines. They also have saunas in both the male and females locker rooms. There is a large outdoor space for gatherings or just to hang out with friends, as well as a full service cafe. This place really has it all!! There are a lot of classes available including karate, tai chi, aquafit, barre, cycle, sculpt and even reformer pilates! So there's truly a class for everyone. Paula, who teaches various classes including yogalates, restorative yoga, and gentle hatha yoga is absolutely amazing! So friendly, patient, kind and just one of the best yoga teachers around! Love, love, love this place so much! Thanks, PRSC!

At least in the pool side building. the temperature is regularly 75+ in there and there are no fans circulating air. It makes it pretty difficult to focus and get and workout to the extent I would like. I find myself calling it quits earlier just due to uncomfortabilty. I enjoy the setup here and how it's not crowded but especially in the summer months I would surely appreciate at least a fan or two to circulate some air. I sure hope they are able to do something about the temperature/air circulation in there soon.

After calling and leaving a message, Sonjia called me back and ensured I knew the names of the coaches who would be holding the classes I was interested in. The location is easy to find, right off the 101, and is tucked at the end of a cul de sac/parking lot. It is much larger inside than it appears from out which was surprising. Plenty of quality equipment, pull-up/rack stations and a large padded floor. They also have an office area where the kids can hang-out while you get your sweat on. Faith taught the night class and Tyler taught the early morning class. Each time there were small groups of other members who were of varying fitness and experience levels who were all very friendly, fun and also focused. I particularly liked Faith's stretching/flexibility/mobility training. I am teased at my home gym because i cant barely touch my toes, but she helped point out some ways i can get more out of my stretches with minor changes in body position which really worked. I also met Sonjia that night before leaving and really enjoyed speaking with her. She made me feel welcome, which is one of the most important factors in selecting a long or short term gym. I will definitely be back next time i am in the area, and will recommend this box to anyone else travelling through Paso....

It was such a refreshing change to experience a neighborhood-style gym with a real family vibe--so different from the corporate setups we're used to in the city (while offering all the same things) . Her primary fitness center was in…read moreSLO, when she was employed down there, but due to a change in jobs, her time is now spent in Paso. I've been an on again, off again member since 2021. Working in Oakland and being home just once a month made it difficult for me. Fast forward to 2025 and I retired and added myself, again to her membership. While my fitness goals have changed, I returned to the club and have been using the pool three days a week. With a reconstructed knee and shoulder, this just takes pressure off those joints. I've been happy with my time at the club. It can be daunting to "get in, get out" during the busy periods of the days, when equipment is being used and you are waiting. I've been lucky to get my workouts in quickly in the early afternoon, both in the weight room and in the pool. The one complaint I know my girlfriend carries, is the availability of classes, especially in Paso. Her going to SLO after work made things quick and easy, but the class schedule is hit and miss for her in Paso. She does with there was a bit more consistency. Aside from that I've been happy with the equipment and cleanliness of the facility. The staff has always been attentive and able to answer my questions. Even better, the pool was redone in Paso (2026). Thank Kennedy for a good club experience

This matter happened a year ago and I heard…read moresomeone else complain so I thought I should share - I tried to cancel my membership because of a family emergency and I didn't live in SLO county anymore. I called and called no one answered. Finally a girl answers the phone- I tell her my situation, I'm moving, I need to cancel. She says okay, give me all your information and I'll relay this and get it canceled. She assured me there were no more steps for me to take. I got a charge on my card the next month. I called back and explained and they denied I ever tried to cancel. I went in person to confront them, the lady helping me was so difficult and made me feel awful. She said it was my fault for not coming in person to cancel and they will not refund me the month I got charged for. I still think about the way I was treated when face to face with that lady. I'm mad I didn't pry more- such a bummer.
