I recently scheduled another appointment to be seen specifically by her. When I arrive the woman at the front desk says "we've been trying to get ahold of you. The dentist wont be in until 10 AM" My appointment was at 830 AM. What? The front desk women says "Didn't you get my message?" The only correspondence I have is one voicemail. I present it to her and it's for insurance verification regarding payment and nothing more. I asked why didn't they cancel my appointment. "Oh we can't do that" They knew they couldn't fulfill my appointment and allowed me come in knowing the dentist wouldn't be in. No emails, no messages in the patient portal. Only a voicemail that was allegedly left that I don't have. She then runs in the back to see if someone else can take care of me. She returns saying another dentist I've never met with who's new to the office will take my appointment. No, thanks. I specifically scheduled and requested Yaseri. She's not here so I'm outta here. They managed to waste my morning and my travel time both getting there and now on the return home. I guess Yaseri could care less on top of all this. I sent a message directly to her and absolutely no response after five days. Time to locate a new dentist.

They said they cared about my overall health and needed to take it because it was their policy to protect their doctors and care for me. I don't need them to care for my blood pressure-my primary care doctor already does that. I need them to clean my teeth. Now, I won't be having my teeth cleaned for a year - until I can switch to different insurance and find a dentist who actually treats me with respect and dignity due to any human. I left the office crying - feeling uncared for, discarded, broken and less than.

I went in for tooth…read morepain during the first week of August and they got me an appointment right away, which I was thankful for. After my x-rays, I still had to wait at least half an hour before I actually got to talk to the dentist and have my teeth looked at. She did try to upsell me on cosmetic dentistry, which I declined. I have crooked teeth but they do not affect my tooth health. She also recommended I receive a treatment for bone degradation that I declined for the moment. Finally, the dentist told me my tooth pain was coming from a cracked wisdom tooth. We both agreed all my wisdom teeth need to come out. We both agreed ALL four teeth should be extracted in one appointment and they could use anesthesia for the surgery. After consulting with the dentist the office manager spoke to me and this is where everything went downhill. She immediately told me the treatment for bone degradation would not be covered and they are willing to do the procedure right then and there. The treatment was $250 and I had to decline. The office manager immediately started questioning me on why I declined instead of accepting the refusal. I had to explain that I could not afford it, which was extremely embarrassing for me. Then, we finally talk about the original issue I came in for. The office manager told me to my face that Medi-cal would not cover anesthesia, and this was something I had to accept. The surgery was scheduled for two weeks later. It was extremely important for me to have this done in a timely manner because of the pain. Fast forward to the day of my oral surgery, I am talking to the oral surgeon's nurse and she was shocked my appointment was only for two wisdom teeth to be extracted and not all four. The nurse also said Medi-cal DOES cover anesthesia for wisdom teeth extraction, a request just needed to be submitted. The nurse was very kind when explaining this to me and even though I had to reschedule the appointment. Then, the office manager comes in and is immediately annoyed by the fact I was now requesting the anesthesia and a new appointment date. In front of my husband and I she said, "Oh, so now you want anesthesia?". Mind you, I requested it two weeks earlier at my original appointment and she immediately shot me down and said Medi-cal would not cover it. I assumed she would send in a request. Five days later, I received an appointment reminder from the office. I did not make any future appointments with them because I was waiting to hear from my insurance. When I called the office to ask what it was for they were unsure. Come to find out it was for these trays to straighten my teeth which I had declined in my original appointment. Since the middle of August I have only received an approval for a deep cleaning. I have tried calling Bright Now to ask if they had any update on my approval for anesthesia because I am still in pain. It was explained to me that the oral surgeon only comes to the office once a month and it is extremely important to me that I have this surgery done as soon as possible. I call during their office hours and they simply do not answer my calls. Two days ago I received a call from a different employee of the company. She explained she does not work at that office in particular but she did receive the approval for the deep cleaning. I agreed to make that appointment but I also asked if the anesthesia request was approved. She was unsure of the status and stated she would have the office manager call me to update me. As a reminder, I made my first appointment at this office during the first week of August for extreme tooth pain. I have a cracked wisdom tooth in my mouth. Two months later nothing has been done. Please, do not go to this office. I called Medi-cal today to ask for an update on the request and the request was NEVER sent in. This has to be one of the most degrading experiences of my life. Also, the two times I was at this office they had an exterminator there for roaches DURING OFFICE HOURS.

Everyone is friendly, the office is comfortable, and Miguel is a great hygienist. Both dentists are always happy to explain what's going on and answer questions. The reason I'm finally writing a review is because of a recent emergency. After a fall, I broke both of my top front teeth and called the office right away. They were able to get me in the same day, cleaned everything up, and placed a temporary crown. I later went back for my permanent crowns and follow-up visits to make sure everything was healing well. Dr. Reppas and Sophia were amazing throughout the entire process. They were calm, kind, and took the time to answer all of my questions, which made a stressful situation much easier. One thing that really stood out to me was how well they worked together. It was clear they have a lot of respect for each other and function as a true team, and that gave me a lot of confidence that I was in good hands. I hope I never need that kind of dental work again, but it's reassuring to know I have such a great team if I ever do. I highly recommend San Marcos Family Dental!

Save your money and sanity and don't do business with these people. They even called me after I left before they even looked at my teeth to belittle me and make me feel bad for "agreeing" to a price beforehand and being sketched out when it changed. They had told me the set price would cover everything as far as x-rays and the exam and when I was asking about specifics once in the chair they didn't even know how much it would be and kept having to leave to ask their supervisor. The assistant was very sweet, but there seemed to be a very vague and confusing lack of communication between everyone. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Elevated Smiles welcomed me in the same day without an appointment, and I couldn't be more grateful. The entire team was warm, professional, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. He even told me that he treats every patient's teeth as if they were his own, and it was obvious he truly meant it. It's rare to find a practice that combines skill, honesty, and genuine compassion the way Elevated Smiles does. They turned what could have been a stressful day into a great experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist who truly cares about their patients. Thank you again for your outstanding care!

She did an exam and did X-rays and made notations in my chart that tooth #4 needed watching. She took a 3 month sabbatical and then sold her practice to Dr Wong. I started seeing Dr Wong in late January/February of this year 2026 and went in for a cleaning & he said I needed a crown on bottom R. As he prepped me for the crown on my lower R halfway through this process he said the adjacent tooth looked like it needed a crown also. My new dental insurance allowed 2 major procedures per year and he quickly used my insurance and I told him this after the crowns were in place and he replied the next time I come in he' needed to work on tooth which had decay. After having had sinus surgery September 2025 I knew that there was definitely a communication between upper L molar tooth #14 and this was causing the sinus infection that I had for over one year and the sinus infection was not clearing despite months of antibiotics. By this time I was having pain in soft tissue around tooth #14. I made an appointment in June 2026 to have this tooth worked on and shortly later the dental assistant started to prep tooth #4 on upper right! I was shocked and upset and told her this is not the tooth that has been bothering me and I need to see Dr Wong immediately. The assistant apologized this was a typo and tooth to be worked on is #14 and not #4. Dr Wong started to work on this tooth & upon removal of its crown dark viscous fluid emerged indicating an infection for some time. He removed as much decay as he could and said he could do another crown, but he didn't think it would last more than a year or two if I wanted to proceed. OMG! I was shocked! This decayed tooth already had created an opening into my sinus yet he asked if I wanted another crown. I told him NO! He sent me to two oral surgeons one of whom doesn't accept my dental insurance. When I asked him about the mixup with #4 vs #14 he said he treated me no differently than how he treats all his patients. I do not recommend this dentist! If he haphazardly treats all his dental clients as he treated me by ignoring a painful tooth and choosing to work on other teeth before processing the real tooth in need I have to say do not go to this dentist. There's a lack of communication, professional conduct, and trust.
