He then told me what to do if I have issues again. Meanwhile, I looked around and found some amazing beach attire for a good price. When I checked out, there was no charge for the fix. These guys understand the value of service and I gain new friends. Promise me when I say that you will not be disappointed by going to Lenny's. You might find something's there in Amazon, but buying local has a much better value in the long term.

You can find most surfer essentials here- clothes, swim shirts, short and suits, body suits, hats, sunglasses, flip flops, and a whole upstairs dedicated to gorgeous surf boards and some skateboards. By the way- a surf boards? NOT cheap. But even if you aren't looking to purchase one it's still quite fun to shop around. The brand of apparel stuff is also very surfer-esque- Hurley, Roxy, Reef, Sun Bum and more. The workers were young but really friendly and gave us some local food & coffee recommendations. The one girl even said her mom worked at the shop when she was the same age and that's pretty cool. There are some pictures & trophies on the stairs from surfing competitions I assumed employees of the shop participated in or sponsored. I also loved the giant flip flops sitting out front- if you visit or have visited you know exactly what I'm talking about. They have a basketball hoop on the side of the ship and a ball out front you can shoot with. A car parked right in front of the hoop which was lame so we didn't get the chance to try it out this time. Definitely a good stop for all the beach things and will be back!

When…read morewe asked to test ride a couple, the staff wouldn't allow it, only offering their 'test board'. If you know anything about skating, one board can be completely different than another, so this is useless. Considering all the nuance (shape, length, flex, weight) that go into a longboard, it is insanity to think that a customer would drop $160+ (their lowest price) on something that they can't test on the sidewalk. In 30+ years of skating and surfing, I have never been to a shop that wouldn't let you test out such a big purchase. Leave this shop to the tourists and posers and spend your money somewhere that actually cares about the culture.

The girls working the shop are more interested in gossiping/talking amongst themselves and staring at their phones than being welcoming, helpful, or kind... esp the ones working on 8/11. We likely would have spent much more, but we got the feeling they would have rather us just left than buying anything at all. We witnessed them treating many others this way -- including a surfer who came in looking for an accessory to his board, who was sent away with nothing but a weird attitude. They had the sand sculptures up and it was amazing. Truly beautiful and incredible to see in person. The beach itself is clean, well kept, and absolutely gorgeous. Parking was not too hard to find and it was reasonably priced, which is always a plus. You can also tell they really cleaned up well after the hurricane. Everything looked great and it was such a nice place to spend the day. I will always recommend this beach.

Paying for parking immediately. Set the tone, especially since there's nothing particularly special about this beach. On top of that, I didn't realize until after I paid for parking that it's not dog friendly, which feels ridiculous for such a wide open public space. Sand, I did venture out for a while and the sound was ultra fine which super annoying. The views are okay and it wasn't crowded which is nice but now I know why. Most of the people I saw were much older and were fully dressed walking on the pathway and not really utilizing the beach. There are so many beaches in Florida. I'm not sure why anyone comes here. Nothing stood out or made us want to stay or really justified all the inconveniences. This beach is just meh and if you're close by ok but definitely not worth going out of your way for.
