I went to my known surgeon Dr. Joseph Galloway, who referred me to a vascular surgeon specialist.. He did not appear professional to me or any type of specialist.. He was a smart mouth.. He did not believe I had had surgery for SMAS 40 years ago which saved my life, not the following surgeries.. He was rude, insulted my integrity as a legal assistant with great knowledge of my conditions.. He did not ask to see my scar to examine any current conditions, but rather to prove I had had those SMAS surgeries.. Then he commenced to argue with me that the surgeon ever e even existed.. Still I have the MALS getting worse and causing severe emergency room attacks.. By the grace of God I was sent to a real vascular surgeon Dr. Michael Do.. I will never recommend this doctor to anyone because I have not one good words to say about him.. He is very unethical in his claimed title.. Genuinely face to face unethical..

Temps were taken at entrances, and they gave you hand sanitizer to use before moving forward into the building. Elevators are limited to 4 people at a time. My appointment was with Dr. Hanes. He was very personable, excellent bedside manner, and very thorough. He didn't make me feel rushed, he talked slowly and made sure I understood what he was explaining to me regarding the next steps we had to take in my treatment plan. I felt very comfortable with him. I'll update the review as I continue with my care here, as I have multiple procedures/tests to do soon.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Nurse Charlotte Byrd, who works in palliative care at Mitchell…read moreCancer Institute, is an absolute disgrace to her profession. She is dishonest, cold, and completely unfit to work with terminally ill patients. I came to her during one of the most vulnerable times of my life, battling stage 4 cancer. Instead of compassion, I was met with lies, avoidance, and outright negligence. She deliberately gave me false information and dismissed my care needs multiple times -- not just once. She's not only untrustworthy, she's dangerous. Palliative care is supposed to be about improving quality of life. Charlotte Byrd made mine worse. She lied to get out of doing her job, left me without support, and treated me as a burden, not a human being. Her behavior is not only unethical -- it borders on medical malpractice. No one in this condition should have to endure her attitude, her deception, or her refusal to fulfill basic responsibilities. I do not feel safe around her and I fear for any other patient under her care. I have reported her to hospital administration and am filing a formal complaint with the Alabama Board of Nursing. I strongly urge Mitchell Cancer Institute to remove her from their staff immediately. No patient--especially someone in palliative care--should be treated like this. She should be fired. Immediately.
