I went here to collect a package, they provide a good service for people who work 9-6pm and miss opening hours. Upon arriving I was asked why my address did not match that on my licence, to which I responded that I was renting and I was not going to pay to change the address on my licence simply to pick up packages. I then stated that you do not need a licence to pick up a package anymore (see http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/collecting-missed-deliveries.html, specifically the 'either' part in bold+italics).
They kicked up a fuss and denied me my parcel because I was becoming frustrated with their lack of cooperation or care for others situation. I did not abuse them or threaten them. I was treated very poorly by the staff as they just mindlessly stated that I need an address attached to the parcel because they are given explicit instructions, despite electing themselves to be an extension of Auspost after hours and therefore participating under their rules (which I showed to them)
I then showed them the card which clearly shows that I do not need to present identity for this parcel (not checked box under 'For eParcel identity on delivery (please tick specific ID requirement)). They stil said no. What else can I do? Call auspost, no, because their opening hours are 9-6pm.
If you are going to elect to provide a service to the community, and then proceed to be informed by a member of that community with regards to changes to the collection of missed parcels, then you should make an effort, not just deny someone because you can't be bothered to listen to them.
You are a terrible company, I will be calling during business hours tomorrow and I will be back tomorrow night to claim what is mine. read more
