I have been a patient of his for almost 8 years. I have been through 4 different stimulators and the last was atempted by Dr Stephens, when he could not get it placed due to the scar tissue he sent me out of state. I had my last one done by a doctor in Arkansas. That was a success done by Dr Peterson at UAMS. I highly recommend anyone with pain or wanting alternatives other than medications to make an appointment with him. He has great office staff who respond ASAP and greet you with respect and making you feel at ease knowing you are hurting. Give him a try. When I started going I couldn't even hold my infant because of the pain. When my little one cried my pain would drastically spike. PTC has been amazing and has helped me recover beyond what I had ever expected. I have been seeing Rachel and each week she listens to everything I have to say. She has never rushed a session. She challenges me to push forward, and with no judgement when I didn't make progress that week. She has helped me get back to everything I was doing before the birth. I recently received an injection to my cervical area and I woke up the next day with absolutely no pain. This procedure itself is painful, but the result is worth it. I've tried the injections in the lumbar area in the past with no improvements, and therefore, I am treated with medication. This agency has been a Godsend to me and I will remain under the care of Dr. Justiz for the duration of my worsening degenerative condition. (When I began with Dr. Justiz, I was thoroughly educated about addiction and was required to meet with an addiction psychologist for assessment. OPM is careful to manage every aspect of taking the pain meds which shows to me how much they care about the patient and how professional they are.)

My first visit was pretty good. I felt like he did his research before I even walked in, which made me feel important, or that he actually cared. He got my background and did troubleshooting. Dr gave me his professional opinion on what he thought was going on with my knee. After dotting the I's and crossing the T's he gave me options on what he think would be best before just cutting me open. After a couple attempts of injections, I realized it wasn't working but Dr had a solution. Staff even make a difference. From the front desk Receptionist to the Nurses of the Drs. The solution that was chosen worked fairly well. If I learned anything from this experience, its that some Drs actually care about your well being, rather than feeling like they know and start cutting on you with no hesitation. (I have been to other clinics in California as well for comparison; some good some not.) Areas of treatment include: knee/ACL micro tears, shoulder pain/weakness, plantar fasciitis (severe arch pain in the foot), back and neck pain, wrist pain associated with carpel tunnel... there may be a few other things along the road and you can bet I will return there. Debbie McConnell and the other therapist (it has changed over the years for whom I have seen) are always kind and willing to work me in as best they can. Most recently Kate has done dry needling to my upper trap and it has helped my stiff and painful neck. Also, Debbie gently readjusts the rotation along my spine (upper, middle, and lower). Martha and Debbie also have done Astym to my neck, arm, and wrist (not many people are trained to use these tools, but I love how it has helped my carpel tunnel and neck). I am always amazed at how much better I feel when I walk out the door. Also, Debbie is one of the few certified hand therapists in the state. She is also certified in manual lymph drainage. They are a small clinic. It is like Cheers, "where everybody knows your name."

Today, my elderly mother and I were shouted out at by the incompetent and combative office manager Natasha because she gave my mother, who I am concerned has dementia, three different appointment times. Then she called and threw her weight around more. I called Natasha back and she shouted, interrupted, and hung up. Then I called Normal Regional and left a Miss Olyphant a message to file a complaint. She was very kind and apologetic. A complaint has now been filed and another will be filed by mail. I am sure nobody at that office cares but I am not letting this go. This is the way it is in corporate America now. The customer is never right and loyalty does NOT exist. Hippocratic oath pfftt yeah right. Humans are numbers, we do not matter. If this Natasha person remains employed it is going to cost Dr. Highley patients and business. Sad. Pathetic. Unnecessary.
