I was a patient of several years ago and he got ill and had another doctor come in and help with the practice. I believe it was Dr.Nawar. I had my little sister had passed away and I was in between jobs and had no insurance so she put me on a medication for anxiety and it reacted with my other pain medication and would cause me to fall asleep so my mom wrote a letter to them telling them to adjust my medication. This had been done, but because I was pulled off of it abruptly I was having some lightheadedness just for maybe a week so Nawar suggested that I get a sleep study once I found out how expensive they were without scheduled an appointment to go visit with her because I did not have the money to pay for a sleep study. I do not know what she told Dr. Amayem but I was kicked out of the clinic immediately without any medication or anything. This was completely unfair to me because the medication that I had been on for seven years worked perfectly. It was the medication she put me on that caused the problem and I wanted to come back and see him again, but I cannot get his staff to return my calls and I did get a referral to him. Is it that hard to get a hold of him? I mean, I feel like I still deserve to be hurt even though it's been 11 years since I went there I still feel like I deserve to be able what situation was because it was not the medication he was prescribing. It was the medication she put me on and I'd already been taken off of it so I don't know what to do. I'm hoping that he will read this review or somebody in his office and at least return my call because my primary care physician did refer me to him and normally I would've said no I can't go back there but because I don't feel like what happened was even fair. He did not let me explain nothing so I don't told him, but it was not fair because I should never have been kicked out of that clinic to begin with ever. And if I didn't think he was a good doctor and think very highly of him, I wouldn't be wanting to even think about coming back in there, but I want to talk to him. The office and staff are efficient and always working to make your experience at AA Spine center a patient experience. They care how the pateint is feeling and they treat the patient accordingly. This is a pain management office, it's close to my home, so AA Spine Center work for me. read more

wish I had something good to say. I tried very hard to be patient and understanding as I know that running a pain management clinic must be very difficult. I was referred to this clinic in February and scheduled my new patient appoint with them for March 14th. They called me on March 11th to cancel due to "a family emergency with both doctors" and told me that my appointment would be sometime in April. No problem. I understand that these things happen. They said they'd call me near the end of March to reschedule. So I wait. The end of March nears so I call a few times to no answer and leave a few unreturned voice messages. Again, I am patient because I know that seeking pain management is a process. I finally get ahold of someone on March 25th. I politely asked if I should just go ahead and seek a referral to a different provider. Emily tells me that I don't need to do that because even though everything is still on hold because they were "restructuring how they schedule new patients" she assures me that they will still calling on April 1st to finally start scheduling appointments. Again, I am patient and understanding, even though the reason for all of this suddenly changed from a "family emergency" to a "restructuring." I hear nothing on April 1st, so I call three times on April 2nd and since no one answered the phone I left another voicemail. I call again two days later to nothing, so I begin calling once a day hoping someone will pick up. Finally, on April 8th, I reach someone who then informs me that they are still not currently scheduling new patients and they have no timeline as to when they will start. Look, I understand that they are probably overbooked and understaffed, but what really gets to me is that I specifically asked if I should just start looking for a different provider and was told not to, only to be continually strung along for weeks after that. It takes time to get a new referral and book a new appointment. I am dealing with a number of serious issues that cause me great pain. This clinic has delayed my ability to receive care for my afflictions and has therefore caused me tangible harm. Being in chronic pain and seeking medical care is already a difficult, vulnerable, and undignified process. I would caution anyone considering this clinic to reconsider. read more

I always loved when I saw Dr. Newark, she was kind,gentel, very sweet to my daughter, we talked about flowers, I felt like she really cared about me & my pain. But my last appointment I was treated like crap & not believed; because for the VERY FIRST time in 13 YEARS, ( About 5 with her & 8 with another Dr. ) there was a bad UA!!! Not even for another opioid!! It was a barbiturate in my system the month before. She immediately started in on me about this. I was confused & kept telling her that I HAVE NEVER taken anything that I shouldn't!! I begged for re-test & pleaded in tears with her!!! She REFUSED to hear ANYTHING & told me I was no longer her patient!! I left in tears & totally confused!! Thank God I was able to get an appointment with another Dr. Who in 10 MIN. was able to figure out that I was given a barbiturate for sedation for a DENTAL PROCEDURE for the previous month when they had pulled all my teeth out!! A procedure that I even refused pain meds afterwards due to being honest & honoring my contract with Dr. Nawar!! I have NEVER been treated so unkind & unprofessional as I was by her...by any DOCTOR, & given all my health issues/surgeries that is saying alot!! I would NEVER thought she or any Dr would be that uncaring..she didn't even once think NEVER in 13 years..over 17 surgeries..etc..maybe something not adding up to her doing this?!! She didn't think as a psycatrist something not right with this here??!! Just accuse & refuse to listen & check out??!! I drove 2 hrs one way EVERY month for meds, & VERY often for MULTIPLE injections in MULTIPLE AREAS & had been doing so for YEARS!! And would have continued to for YEARS EVERY MONTH!! I have referred many people to AA Spine, & ALWAYS been HONEST & NEVER TOOK ANYTHING I SHOULD NOT TAKE OR BROKE MY PAIN MANAGEMENT CONTRACT!! If you would have cared & listened you wouldn't have lost a great patient who was being HONEST & TRUTHFUL with you!! I doubt this will even be cared about; but opefully you can stop & realize before you make this huge MISTAKE with another honest & truthful patient & treat them with disdain & act completely uncaring to another person FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AT ALL & leave a PATIENT humiliated & in tears & in alot of pain!! I've been going here for for about 20 years now. The staff and doctors are always awesome.

This doctor is a joke first they give us the wrong address and then they don't even open when they said they did they don't even answer the door or the phone when they open we are 20 minutes late because they didn't tell us the right address then to get an attitude when you confront him about it he is a joke don't waste your time with this doctor wouldn't even help my husband read more

First time being seen by this doctor. Appointment was set for 10:45 a.m. Wasn't seen by the doctor until 12:50 p.m. His assistant could not explain to me why it was taking so long, just kept saying you will be up next soon. Then with my chronic back pain at its worst, the seats in the waiting and in the actual clinic room are the hardest most uncomfortable seats they could find. Dr. Lonser is an excellent doctor. He takes his time to explain what is wrong with you and options on how to treat your pain as well. Whenever I had a problem he fit me in right away. I've been a patient for 8 years. The secretaries are all very nice as well. His nursing staff, for the most part, are very friendly and efficient. I would recommend him, not only to my friends, but my family as well. The average length for waiting for an appointment has never been very long. 5 stars!!!! read more
