In the past two years they have had numerous principal and vice principals, all which do very little to solve any issues and concerns parent may have when it come to kids. I've had issues with yard duty trying to play a role of principal, picking on my 8 yr. old for his mohawk to the point that my son did not want to go to school. Left messages for the principal or vice principal to contact me with no avail. The gates to kinder garden section of the school are supposed to open by 1:25 and like always the yard duty is extremely late and rude. Last year one of the yard duty ladies called my 10 yr. old stupid and like always the school did nothing to repremend her actions.I have witness a teacher jerking a 5 yrs ol child and then trying to play it off when she noticed I witness this. Some teachers are great but they have some teachers that should have never gotten in the teaching industry to begin with. The only person that I am very content with is Yolanda, one of the secretaries. She tries her to best to be helpful and is always polite, unlike most of the staff in that school. Now I'm looking into trasferring my children to a different school in hopes that they have a better experience.

The Monkey Bars: Revolutionary and ahead of it's time. A carefully crafter piece of art shaped like a soda can. I used to play Batman on these bars because I was the kid with the Batman cape attached to my glow-in-the-dark Batman shirt. The White Squares: This solitary confinement proved to be the predecessor to modern-day prisons. The tight quarters (2 ft.x2ft. max) and strict silence policy made these squares unbearable. During the hot summer days, it was practically a death sentence. I would willingly take waterboarding over these horrible playground prison cells. Computer Games: Thanks "Oregon Trail" and "Number Munchers" for teaching me dysentery and prime numbers. The teachers rock! Thanks Sonoma Elementary School for all the great years!

She comes home every day from school telling me all the new things that she learned including her alphabet, counting, sing-along songs, writing skills etc. She is always excited to go to school, and is well monitored while there with multiple teachers supervising in the classroom at all times. You can tell the teachers have a passion for children and genuinely love their job. They have flexible hours that you can adjust to fit your work or school schedule. They offer full day school and extended hours which is difficult to find for toddlers. There IS a waiting list, but it is well worth the wait! I highly recommend the program

My nephews go to this school its right around the corner from us and so far its been good.(3years…read moreand counting) We are enrolling our daughter this year and I'm excited for her. We had an option to enroll her at GVA with her other cousins but so far my sis- in - law has had some issues with them nothing major but enough for me not to feel comfortable with. When my nephews first got here (Everett elementary)they were behind in school due to my sister not taking them in Lodi, that's when we became legal guardians and enrolled them here, right away the teachers were very helpful and did everything they could to help one of my nephews catch up they split him in k/1st grade it was a lot for him but the teachers worked very hard for him. I now have two happy healthy boys and I thank the twins Ms. Vaughn and Ms. Vaughn for helping my nephew get through this rough patch.
