Cute park. Nice play structure and plenty of trails to explore around it. Parking can be sparse.

Our visit was in July 2025 to this cute Fair Oaks park within a small neighborhood. The park has a…read moresmall splash pad, and two playgrounds one for younger and older children. My granddaughter who is 8, loved the splash pad & the younger kids playground. The park is not gated and is adjacent to a walking path. Be careful if you have a little runner. The splash pad has a high water bucket dumping water in different directions. There was only one working water spout for the little kids when we came and the frog sprays water but you have to click the yellow button on the blue pole to make it work once it turns off. The older kids playground she loved the round rope swings but did get rope scrapes on back of both legs from swinging on them so be careful. Next time will use a towel under her legs. The big net play structure is fun if you want to just climb around but to get to the slides there is a big gap between the net structures that you have to go past in order to work your way across the rope bridge then to the slide. She was disappointed she couldn't get over to slides as a big gap she couldn't reach other side safely. Really wish there were rope stairs going straight up to slide area so kids can play on slide that can't do rope structure. The younger kids playground was nice. Multiple climbing structures that included a slide, rope hammock, a turning swing type activity. Parking is along the street only. Park has Drinking fountains and clean bathrooms. There are two picnic table areas. One down by the playgrounds and another by the splash pad.

There are 2 picnic bench areas where you can settle in with food/supplies, as well as an adjacent bathroom and pickleball court. Large grassy area to run around and a small walking trail as well. There's plenty of room to expand, so hopefully they can add additional amenities moving forward. Plenty of adjacent street parking in the community. Recommended.

There were signs posted at the picnic area, and someone came around to collect trash twice during our reservation, which was great because we had a lot of it. We also put our son in the OV Rec'ing Crew this summer and he LOVED it. It was our first summer camp experience and it reminded me of when I was a kid and went to Rec Camp! Very simple, nothing wild, but the field trips seem well-executed, and the leaders were friendly young adults. We'll be back next summer for sure!

My daughter met a friend their to play on the larger playground with, sliding down the slides, their were many and a nice swing set as well! I would highly recommend visiting the Orangevale Community Park located on 7301 Filbert Ave, right across the street from the horse riding stables! We will definitely be back to add books to their Little Library, leave a book, take a book, as well as explore more of this amazing park!

Hope it helps! Entrance is accessible from Greenback Ln with $10 fee required per vehicle. 2 Parking lots available - 1 closer to boat launch area and another further lot that's more convenient for picnic areas and tables. Plenty of tables and area for lots of families to enjoy some water festivities! Have a big party or just want to lock down a few tables? Highly advise to come early. If you just need some space to place your mats down, it should be just fine. Incredible trails alongside the water for walking, jogging, and bike riding. Dogs are welcome but just make sure you pick up after them (I noticed a good number of dog poop near the water edge). Want to take a dip? Feel free! Quite cold but more than welcome to. Biggest reason why we came here? To see how the Kayak Rental system worked. Scan the QR code or visit the site to book your rentals and sign waivers. I was told they rented daily by a worker (young ones) but their online reservations just show weekends and random Wednesdays.. so good luck. Honestly Rental prices are higher than another spot we've been to, but this spot was much closer to home and easier to access. Price for convenience! We didn't go kayaking on this particular day but definitely plan to return with our own paddle board/Kayaks since it just makes sense to invest and go whenever we want versus rent a few kayaks with high rental feels. Who wants to return within 1 hr?! No way, you gotta stay out in the midst of nature for at LEAST a few hours! Pathway Tip: Walking or jogging? Stay on your left. Biking? Stay on your right. Standard Placer County rules. Great spot for families whether you want to picnic, swim, paddleboard, kayak, go for a nice walk, jog, or bike along gorgeous river waters scenery. Have fun!!

Nothing super exciting in this review, just one of those peaceful days you appreciate more as you get older lol. Now fair warning... that water is COLD cold when you first step in but once you're out there it's worth it. Even the ducks were just cruising around being friendly and minding their business. Sometimes you don't need much, just a board, some fresh air, and a little quiet.

It's tranquil on the lake no matter who's around. Best $125/yr gym/bar, ever. Go alone or go with friends. Poppy Pass - buy one.

I liked that the creek was rather clean. The parking lot was also clean. Thankfully, it seems most dog owners pick up after their pups so that was a pleasant respite! Plenty of trash bins to facilitate. Overhead lights at end of the park near Smoke Tree Court were great - they brightened as you approached. The green grass is nicely maintained. I'm sure it helps to keep the soccer players and families happy! The two tennis courts were nicely lit at the Fair Oaks Blvd end of the park and looked in great shape. At 6:00 pm PST, in the dark, they were being used. Love that. Tennis courts are open until 10:00 pm.

I would recommend this renovated park that boosts 2 playgrounds with swing-sets, a restroom, water fountain, covered picnic benches that can be reserved, a little library, basketball court, soccer field, tennis courts and a walking trail. Our daughter had a blast with the friends she met on the playground and didn't want to leave! We'll be back! SYOY! :-)
