Some of the most patient and helping folks we have ever dealt with at a costume rental place. There's also a store there but it looked like the more fun place was the rentals. They have changing rooms and the costumes ranged pretty much from $60-$90 and you get to keep them for a week! We rented on the Saturday prior to Halloween Friday and didn't have to return it until Monday, 11/3. You put down your credit card as deposit and pay a cleaning fee when you rent. Be careful because if you lose or damage the costume it ends up being something like $350!! read more

I have been shopping here for years, and it never disappoints. I usually find the quality items I need with helpful staff. Duran went above and beyond during my visit today. He was extremely knowledgeable about the products and the application process for my project. I highly recommend visiting them for any of your costume or theatrical needs. read more

Great experience here! The staff was highly professional, efficient, and delivered exactly what was needed. They offer excellent quality of service and great value. Definitely a reliable business that I'd recommend to others. read more

They quickly helped me fine the perfect outfit for a themed New Years event. They are friendly and so easy to work with!

The young lady working the makeup counter helped me get the perfect blend for my halloween costume. She was very friendly!

Has good wig for halloween but kinda cheap for regular but I guess that's OK since it's the season! I git a pink one and I like it but the stuff coming out fast off the cap!!!! read more

I got a tip about this place from someone who works at Sephora. I thought I was a pretty smart little makeup artist but there is much to learn! Like the fact that they sell Ben Nye and offer MUA discounts! I'm going crazy thinking about all the money I will save by purchasing all my kit supplies here. The costumes and accessories are amazing. I am getting a badass costume for Halloween next year! There is a certain party that I must attend and another with a contest I must win! read more

THANK YOU Norcostco for having the Ben Nye banana powder!! Found this place by searching Ben Nye on yelp. Every MUA in DFW should go here if they wanna try Mehron, Kryolan, Ben Nye! Wish they had the Topaz powder but sadly they ran out. The lady at the cash register was very helpful!! You could tell she had a stand offish attitude but I knew it was because she wanted to get the store in order and nobody was really helping her do that. She was very knowledgeable and took time to help everybody that came in. Including giving her own personal advice which helped me decide what to get. Plus they let you do swatches of products!!!! They even had the Parian Spirit brush cleanser container I've been looking for EVERYWHERE!! eBay, amazon, camerareadycosmetics.com. Norcostco had it!! SO HAPPY!! Will be going back! read more

Norcostco - Texas - Costumes Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Found this place on Yelp when I last minute needed a Halloween costume for my zoom team meeting. I felt it was kind of hidden but maybe I'm just bad at following directions. Anyways, they were being extremely safe with Covid which I can say was not the case for spirit and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Got a wig that cost only $30 and the quality is actually really good. I'll definitely come back for any costume stuff I need. read more

I've only been here once, but the guy who helped me was great. I'm not in a drama dept. so he gave me all kinds of pointers. I got a fake moustache. (Look at my pictures and you can see it.) I also had to get some spirit gum to glue it on. The guy gave me all kinds of pointers about how to put it on and take it off. read more

Norcostco is the coolest place! My daughter is a professional makeup artist & she also does theatrical makeup for Children's Theaters, as well.....so we love to head over to Norcostco to pick up all of her Ben Nye theatrical makeup needs. The costume rentals are such high quality & clean! Sometimes when ya rent from other places in Dallas, the costumes don't feel like they've been cleaned.. YUCK! Like Roxanne K. said, these are movie / stage quality costumes, and Norcostco has the BEST period costume selection in Dallas! The staff @ Norcostco is always helpful & very knowledgeable when looking for that perfect authentic costume or makeup! I always look forward to heading on over to Norcostco....we'll be seeing ya soon. My daughter is going to rent a period dress for her engagement pictures in a few weeks! = ) read more

Needed to do some cool makeup effects for a crazy costume party that I have been talked into doing. When I saw they had the stuff here in Dallas, I decided to pick it up in person. The young woman at the front desk not only found quickly what I wanted but also spent time teaching me how to mix the different things and how to apply the stuff. With that kind of customer service, they have my vote for all your costume party needs! read more

I contacted Norcostco about some luxury powder that I couldn't find. Come to find out, it's only sold from a dealer. I emailed them and heard back within the hour. They were very helpful and courteous. Excellent costumer service! read more

This was my second time renting from these guys and it is a fantastic experience. The costumes here are stage and movie quality, constructed for heavy use and authenticity. I love period costumes from 14th - 17th century and you can't go wrong here. This year they had a special $69 for over a week rental with zero, thats ZERO deposit! What? Are you mad? Even though it was totally obvious the man was overwhelmingly busy... he dropped what he was doing to help me find the perfect costume! I'll return here year after year to find a dazzeling costume. When you're ready to go all out for Halloween, this place is for you! read more

Definitely have everything you could need, including a great selection of Ben Nye products. The lady that assisted me was helpful, if not overly friendly. She assisted with everything I need, though, so I am pleased. They have a very large selection of costumes, and their prices on the make-up and accessories is way cheaper than the Halloween stores. Make sure you stop by here before making any Halloween decisions! read more

Walked in and was immediately greeted. I asked to try specific items and Blair was knowledgeable in the examples I gave. Even though they didn't have what I wanted, Blair pointed me in the right direction to another shop where I was able to get exactly that. Amazing customer service! Will be back for any future costume needs! read more

Was directed here to get a 1940s suit for our engagement photos right around Halloween. They have everything! Halloween rentals were mostly around $75 but allowed you to keep the costume until November 3rd (for some that mean a full 2 weeks). These are not your cheap plastic store bought outfits. They are costumes used in stage and TV productions! The staff was great about finding me all of the items that I would need and explained how to put it together in an authentic way. We are actually considering getting our tuxedos for the wedding from there, if you can believe it.....and will definitely look up Norcostco the next time I need a holiday "disguise". read more

I rated them a 3 for overall customer service. However, I give Paula a 5! She was the best. I recently went to a 1920's party and needed a costume. A friend of mine recommended this place. I called to inquire about their costume rental. The woman on the phone was quick to correct me that they were "not a costume rental, but a theatrical rental". She transferred me back to Paula (amazing girl) that answered all my questions. I went there later that day to check out their options. WOW they have killer stuff! Total quality! I went with a gorgeous beaded flapper dress that was a big hit at the party! Paula set me up, checked me out and off I went. During the time I was there I couldn't help notice how grumpy the other employees were. I quickly figured out who the snappy woman on the phone was, and the guy at the sewing machine couldn't be bothered. At least Paula was a sweet person and actually smiled! When I mentioned that my friend needed to rent as well and he couldn't be there until Saturday around 2:30 they laughed! Said they had a group of 30 actors coming in and would be too busy. My friend went anyway and of course he was treated as a nuisance than a paying customer. After my initial experience I thought everyone has bad days. Maybe when I return my costume it will be different. Unfortunately it wasn't. Paula was there, sweet as pie.. But the others were still grumpy. read more

Excellent staff for both costume and makeup. Costumes are limited to historical costumes. Base price is about $50-$60 plus $4 for dry cleaning. Also rent lights and other photography/ video gear. read more

Nice big store. It seemed a little daunting at first but I was immediately helped by someone--and she had a great personality! They let you reserve costumes no more than one month out--so go well before Halloween to get an idea of what you might want...then show up in time to reserve! ;) She warned me October 1st is a mad-ass crazy day. Great selection; clean well maintained (for the most part), easy to get what you need, reasonable prices...for sure!!! Plenty of parking, easy to get to location. I would give more stars if possible. Went looking for some body paint, and was helped by 2 of the coolest ladies. Service was quick and easy. They didn't try to sell me anything extra. I glanced at their prices and was surprised to notice their pricing is better than the big Halloween/costume stores that sprout up every year. Definitely a must when shopping for a costume. read more

Great costume and makeup shop. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help us find what we needed and offered professional advice. read more

It was my first trip there yesterday and I'm sad to say that the lady in cosmetics, didn't get her name, but she was wearing glasses, was so rude! How do you expect to sell anything when you are rude to people... So I left empty handed and I won't be going back. read more

So friendly. Prices are a little high during October, for obvious reasons, but they have a pretty good selection.

This place is awesome! They have a great selection of props, costumes, make-up, and tech, and their friendly and knowledgeable staff will go the extra mile to make your day! I had a negative experience at a costume rental place closer to home and was worried I wouldn't be able to get what I needed on time; Sara at Norcostco went out of her way my make my order happen quick and easy. If they don't have it, they can get it! I can't wait to use their services again! Superb! read more

For a costume store it was clean and organized. The staff was very kind and helpful. The prices were decently priced. I'm a fan and will be coming here for all costume needs! read more

I've only shopped in the makeup department so i cannot comment on the costume dept. Although the product selection is great, they stock many products for Beauty, Stage, and FX makeup, and they offer a pro makeup artist discount the customer service from Ava is borderline unbearable. If you are lucky enough to get her attention when you walk in she has an atitude of annoyance with you. If you are compairing products she is very hesitant and condisending when giving you advice. Most of the time you just get a rude look instead of product info or advice or she is happy to tell you she offers a class for $200. I went recently and she has even posted a sign that says something like: "We are not obligated to offer demonstrations". That basically sums up the attitude of poor customer service. In my opinion, customer service should be about providing the customer with information so they can make the best purchase and have a good experience in the store. With norocostco's makeup department you are better off doing all the research prior to your visit and have a list because you wont get any helpful advice or recommendations. If it were not one of the few stores in the metroplex that carry stage makeup i would definitively never go back! Many other makeup artists i work with also agree that service could be improved. Like i said i cant comment on any other department but the makeup department. The selection and prices are great but i would frequent the store more often and buy more product if i didn't dread the poor treatment from staff. read more

I found this place online while looking for makeup,I was running low on makeup and was searching online and came upon this place. I looked at the website and it looked pretty cool and it was not that far from where I live. So me and my mom decided to go and check it out. When we finally found it, it was in an area that was mostly warehouses but its right on the street so you can see it from Wycliff. So we walk in and they have several glass counters with makeup and all kinds of cool stuff like wigs, hats, and costumes. I really didnt know what I was looking for so i started looking at powders and then the guy at the counter asked me if I needed help which I did and I guess he could tell i was kinda overwhelmed there was just soo much to look at. So the guy was very nice and helpful I wish i could remember his name. So after that i was browsing a bit and he got busy with another customer and asked the lady that was there to help me in the makeup section. she asked what i was looking for and gave me some suggestions she said she was a makeup artist for about thirty years i was like wow she must know what shes doing then. so she helped me pick out foundation and powder for everyday wear. She just looked at me and found my perfect shade of foundation. I was very surprised it was basically the same thing that I usually buy at the mall buy way way cheaper. so after that i was walking around still browsing just seeing what they had and she asked if i would like to get some makeup done. I came in kinda plain with just foundationand i was like yes i would love that. so she did some eyeshadow and lip makeup and added blush which i also purchased. i loved the makeup she did it made my face look way better than when i got there. She was a very serious person but she was awesome and very helpful and knowledgable about makeup.Anyway enough about that this store is cool and i love that they have helpfull people to assist you great customer service and they also rent costumes cant wait to come back and visit. read more
