Loved my time here. Hopefully you enjoy the classes, the campus is well organized and the aids are intelligent. Well educated. Bring mace.

I was in the Young Americans and also graduated from UCLA. I can confidently say that the…read moreprofessional success rate of my Young Americans batch was way higher than my UCLA performing arts classmates. If your child is considering a career in the Performing Arts, there is no better location in the world as a singer, dancer or actor than Southern California in terms of making a living wage and accessing opportunities. The Young Americans' campus is about an hour drive from the entertainment capitol of the world. The Young Americans College of the Performing Arts provides for a great back up in terms of "music education" and if you complete the program with an additional 12 units through a partnership with the North Central Michigan College, these credits can be transferred to a four-year college. While in the Young Americans, I went to my first professional audition and booked a Broadway show that I performed in for the next 4 years. Others in my batch include artists from Sunset Boulevard, Miss Saigon, Rent, Wicked, Lion King, Stomp, Cirque de Soleil and Disney. Having been in the entertainment industry, nobody cares about a degree... it is the sparkle, that connecting of your soul into your craft that makes you stand out from the crowd. The Young Americans excel at this, cultivating your unique light, your star quality. You can see it in the students. It is cultivated day after day, hour after hour. In addition, the international tours are such a great opportunity to see the world and interact with different cultures transforming and expanding the performer and the human being. To top it all off, the Young Americans education comes at a CHEAP CHEAP financial investment for a top notch education and experience. I believe that the Young American experience is truly a rare gem in this world. 09/22/17 P.S. - I was just contacted by a prospective student from Finland with questions. In that vein, if any prospective student has any questions, I'm inviting you to private message me.

This is a warning for any future students considering enrollment. I am enrolled in their DMS…read moreprogram and am having the worst experience. They are extremely unprofessional and unorganized. My cohort was not informed about the new semester start date, the class days, or whether classes would be online, hybrid, or in person. Nothing. We are a few days into the 3rd semester, received the schedule the day of. If I had not woken up early on Monday to log in to Moodle, I would have missed the first day of class, since they did not inform us of anything. I sent emails to Heather Benevento (Director of Admissions) and Tammy Latu (Executive Director) with no reply. It took me sending a follow-up email for Heather to reply and say that I would hear back by the end of the day from either of them. Of course, to no surprise, I did not receive an email. Whenever I call the campus, my calls go unanswered. I leave messages, and they are not returned. They use the excuse that it's a new campus and ask us to give them some grace, but if you are late on a tuition payment, late to class, or miss a day, they will make sure you face the consequences ASAP. Turns out the schedule we were given for the semester is not even accurate. Our professor had to inform us today that our lab day is canceled because the school doesn't have the supplies (shocker!). And now we will have lab on a day we were told there was no class. What about those of us who have jobs? Doctor's appointments? Job interviews? This school expects you to form your life around them and only cares about getting their money and nothing else.
