Short term rehab resident rooms are so small a family member can barely fit a chair to sit with loved one. One TV for 2 people. At 7:00am when I went to see my mom, she was without her walker (6 days post hip replacement), call button under her bed, bed a mess and attempting to get out of bed by herself. It was apparent no one had eyes of her for a substantial period of time. The sliding glass door to outside was literally open about 24", bugs, critters, people, anything could have entered, not to mention how cold it was. It took all my strength to even close the door it was so old and not functioning properly. You also need to be aware they use a "Jack & Jill" bathroom. My mom would have been sharing a bathroom with her female roommate but also the 2 men next room over - Totally unacceptable. The CNA who came first after we arrived had no idea why my mom was there, asked me is she could walk to the bathroom - what the heck? What if I was not there, what if my mom did not have capacity and did not answer correctly. SO many red flags with Rock Creek, be aware and causcious.

Also, some of the staff have a very bad attitude. Not the kind of place that feels like a safe spot for an elderly person. My mom's roommate never left her bed, and none of the CNA's ever helped her do anything she just laid there watching a huge TV at full volume 24/7. My mom couldn't watch her own TV due to the noise, let alone actually get a goods night sleep. There is a litany of other problems that I won't get into, but this isn't a nice facility. It's really sad that these types of places that are mostly Medi- Cal patients get the short end of the healthcare stick. It's wrong that our country sends the message that it's ok to treat elderly poorly just because they don't have a bunch of money. The system is broken, and places like this are a direct result of that. It's shameful all the way around.

My review is for the emergency room which is clearly always open…read more As I pulled up to their parking lot, it was easy to either park in an area especially designated for the ER or drive up to their drop off up close the front. When arrived in pain, the intake nurse remained calm and asked me for my information. Lucky for me, on this day, it was not long before they took me back and checked me in. They took my vitals, temperature and assigned me to a clean sanitized bed. After talking to me for a little bit, they gave me a warm blanket and an IV with something for the pain. Most of the nurses were very caring. Nurse Julie was the most compassionate and kept me up to date on what to expect. She made sure I was comfortable and warm. Dr. Ewyee was saving someone life just a few rooms down... it reminded me of how previous life can be. If it weren't for Dr. Eywee, I would not have had the great team I have today working on my health. Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital has a great team and after a few visits, most of the staff has shown they go above and beyond medical needs. I am so thankful for Nurse Julie and Dr. Eywee
