After needing to create some privacy from a neighboring property, we needed fast-growing trees and shrubs. I called Juan over the weekend, explained the project, and sent him some pictures. He immediately understood what we were looking to accomplish and said he could take care of it that week. From that first conversation, he was responsive, professional, and incredibly easy to work with. They installed a completely new sprinkler system with a commercial-grade watering system and fertilizer ports, removed old debris and stumps, prepared the entire area, and even repurposed rocks we already had on the property to create a beautiful border around the new landscaping. What impressed me most was his attention to detail and communication. He sent pictures and videos throughout the day and kept me updated on every decision. At one point, after laying everything out, he felt the design needed one additional tree to balance the space, so he went and picked one up. That kind of attention and pride in the finished product is rare. We expected this to be about a week-long project, but Juan and his team completed everything in one day and it was done beautifully. We aren't full-time residents in Arnold, so I had to put a tremendous amount of trust in Bella View team. Based entirely on Juan'scommunication and professionalism, I felt completely comfortable letting him handle the project without being there for a final walkthrough. He exceeded our expectations. My husband hired them to put in a barbecue area in our backyard and pavers with trees in the front of our house. Then he suggested adding on some plants by our master bedroom window and behind the barbecue area. That's where the trouble began. All work was approved in August. We decided on honeysuckles on trellises and camellias. The work for the barbecue area and the front of the house went well and on schedule. The area behind the barbecue area and by the master bedroom were not completed. It kept getting put off. The job was started in August and was not finished until the following April. Excuses included that the plants were not available at the nursery that they use. That actually was a bit of a relief since they wanted to plant them in January and I was afraid that they would freeze. Then March rolls around and I ask if we could go to the nursery that they use and pick out the honeysuckles and camellias. There was not much to pick from, but we decided on coral honeysuckle for behind the barbecue area and purple honeysuckle and two white camellias for the master bedroom area. Unfortunately, the only white camellias available were on trellises. I told my husband that it might cause a problem, but if they asked for more money that would be perfectly fine. Unfortunately, no one spoke to us about it. Their answer to the problem was simply to leave out the trellises for the honeysuckles. Now we have honeysuckles that are planted too far from the fence with no trellises. This company is either lacking in communication with customers or does not have enough experience with smaller plants. I recommend them for stonework, paving, and tree planting, but not for smaller plants. Their pricing is very reasonable. Just be sure that they understand what is important to you for example trellises. Also be sure that they don't do any planting in January when your plants are liable to freeze. Better yet just stick to the stonework and paving. They are great at that!

There were also repeated issues accessing the backyard because tenants did not leave the gate unlocked, which led to overgrowth and additional work. While I understand the difficulty, communication about these access problems was not consistent. Without timely updates, I couldn't address the issue with the tenants.Sanitation problems were another concern. Dog feces were often left in the yard by the tenants, but again, I wasn't consistently informed, which limited my ability to correct the situation. Additionally, multiple sprinkler heads were damaged during the period of service, something I had never experienced with previous gardeners.Ultimately, the gardener resigned abruptly, citing the access and sanitation issues. He then proceeded to arrogantly tell me the work, which he calculated around 10-15k, was too small for him and his company. I understand Covid has hit many small businesses hard and big jobs help bridge the gap in loss revenue however, there are better ways to conduct yourself when dealing with potential clients. Besides I wasn't aware 10-15k was something to sneeze at. So I will take my money elsewhere since Greg's attitude toward me was just too ugly and nasty for me to ever consider doing business with. Note to reader: any job which is less than 15k don't even bother with this company.

There are a few reasons they are receiving a 4/5 review rather than 5 star. Communication was less than ideal, several times I had to reach out to Ulises inquiring when work would begin, continue, and addressing a few short comings during the project. I firmly believe if I didn't prompt Ulises first about the next step in the process I would have been left in the dark. The bigger issue was overall jobsite cleanliness. Part of the job required removing a small 4' x 4' pad of concrete to make way for the new walkway. Rather than hauling it away, throwing it in my trashcan, or stacking it somewhere for me to deal with later, the workers proceeded to disperse baseball sized chunks of concrete throughout my dirt yard. Seeing as I'm about to have irrigation and grass put in I've spent several hours picking chunks of concrete throughout the yard. Lastly employee/s left cigarette butts all over our backyard, do the next job a solid and clean up after yourselves. Overall they do a good job, with a bit more communication and attention to detail they'd be a 5/5.
