So we started with some Espresso Martinis and they were perfectly made and balanced, well done Limarys! We also enjoyed some complimentary Chicharones. Classy. See pics. We rocked out to the musician who was playing and really, really enjoyed the overall aesthetic of the place. They spared no expense in décor and design and acoustics. Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

At first, I wasn't too happy -- there were no outdoor seats available and the music at the bar was super loud. We ended up sitting all the way in the back next to a wall by the bathrooms, and the vibe there was just okay. Later, we moved closer to the outside and it completely changed the experience -- I enjoyed it so much more! The drinks are a little pricey but absolutely worth it -- we had the Tikki Kill and it was delicious. The music was amazing and kept the energy up all night. The couches are super comfy, the hookah service is great (they change the charcoal without you even asking), and free parking is a huge plus. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the night even better. The only downsides are that you really need to make a reservation ahead of time for weekends, otherwise you might end up stuck at the bar or in a less atmospheric spot. Also, there are only two gender-neutral restrooms, so there can be a bit of a wait.

Great music played throughout. While we were there it was club music. Just loud enough to enjoy but still able to talk. We ordered a fruit platter and it was large and all of the fruit was deliciously fresh. The only tricky part was the parking. An attendant on the street is shuffling people on the street and at least three different lots. The entrance is around back opposite of Dixie Hwy so save yourself a walk. Not sure what can be done about the restroom situation, but there are very few for the number of people that can be inside. All in all, I would definitely come back for another night of enjoyment.

The Beatles on the Beach Festival is an annual celebration of the anniversary of The Beatles…read morearrival in America. This year it was the 62nd anniversary, featuring 2 nights of live concerts at Mizner Amphitheater. Aside from live performances they also have a wide variety of events like happy hours, art exhibits, meet and greets, lectures, etc. If you are a Beatles fan you will absolutely love the sheer amount of Beatles related things that are going on. I've been to three of these festivals and the big ticket is definitely the headlining live performances. In 2024 they had Cheap Trick which was huge. In 2025 they had Night Ranger, which was awesome as well. This year I feel like they really cut corners on the headliners. No major acts at all. Instead they had Tony Kishman, a Paul McCartney tribute act one night (he was also a headliner in 2025). And they also had Morgan Freeman's Symphonic Blues Experience, a "guided" blues journey, which was really lame. The last two years we got rock star energy, this year we got guided blues journey's and a rehashed tribute act. I was really bummed. Overall I do like the fact that the organizer puts this event together, it's definitely cool. But they really have to step up their game with regard to talent for 2027. I would love to see a band like Weezer, Sublime or Journey play. And I don't think it's out of the question considering the venue. Weezer just played in the Mizner Amphitheater last year.
