My eldest daughter and I just got done with a delicious lunch at Twisted Tony's in Osage Beach, MO…read more Drove to Camdenton, MO, to buy a t-shirt from Twisted Tony's second location. On our way out of this city, we saw Ozarkland in a red and white stripe multi-story building. Must be interesting so we made a stop here. Ozarkland is a general store for sweet treats and unique finds. They have 4 Missouri locations - Branson, Camdenton, Sarcoxie, Kingdom City. They also have an online store. Tons of merchandises, unique knick knacks, and so much more. May need to spend more than a good hour to cover everything. But then again, you may just want to do target shopping and get what you came here to buy. I was looking for Historic Route 66 t-shirts and magnets. No Route 66 inspired t-shirst for purchase. Got some cool magnets. Checked out the sweets section. They offer free samples of the fudge. Got some tropical medley fudge, dark and amaretto pecans, pecan caramel patties, chocolate rocks. Prices vary by the pound. Btw, great tasting chocolates! If you're local or out of town visitor, it's a cool place to peruse around and find your one-of-a-kind gift(s). Note: Part of Route 66 Centennial Celebration road trip with my eldest daughter in June 2026

I was like we HAVE to stop here when I saw it on the side of the road and made my husband pull over…read moreso I could go inside. I don't know what I was expecting... I have to say - not impressed. Maybe I was just cheap tourist gift-stored out at that point but there wasn't anything here that impressed me. Nearly everything was made in China - I did see a small fudge/ice cream counter in back and grabbed a magnet and some taffy for my husband for the road. Otherwise - onward we move.

Do you live in Texas County? The surrounding area? Are you going to Springfield or Ft. Leonard…read moreWood for some reason? Trust me when I tell you that the trek to Rosewood Farms is WORTH THE DRIVE! We were recently visiting family in Roby, MO and Cabool, MO and stopped into Rosewood Farms on my mom's recommendation. She couldn't remember that the place was called Rosewood Farms, she just knew we should go get some "Grandpa Joe's Chocolates" and she was SO RIGHT! When you pull up to Rosewood you will notice the beautiful grounds. I wish I knew a photographer in the area because Rosewood would be a great place to have a family picture taken, the gardens/grounds are adorable. Then you wander into the store. There is a coffee shop inside (I don't drink coffee, but thought I would mention the option) and there are many adorable crafty, country decor items. There are handmade body creams and spice mixes, they have a spice section in one corner where you can make your own spice blends as well, but the BEST thing about Rosewood is Grandpa Joe's Chocolates. Odds are you won't be in the store 5 minutes before someone brings you a tray full of chocolate to choose from TAKE ONE. It doesn't so much matter which one, they are all ridiculously good. Then wander around some more. You can buy Grandpa Joe's Chocolates in packages all around the store or you can buy them by the 1/4, 1/2 or full pound of your choice of chocolates packaged in a beautiful silver box shrink-wrapped and tied up with a bow (perfect for gift giving...but why would you give it away?). Rosewood also carries a line of sugar-free chocolates for you or your loved ones that need to avoid sugar! Oh, and I almost forgot they have the cutest chocolate "lollipops" in tractor, flower, dinosaur and cow shapes (as well as others). The family that runs Rosewood are transplants to MO from AZ (just like my family is!) and they are SO hospitable. I would want to stop by just to chat with them for a few minutes even if I didn't NEED Grandpa Joe's Chocolates...lol. Can't make it to Rosewood? Still want to try the best chocolate ever? Go here; http://www.grandpajoeschocolates.com/ and order from them online...then plan a trip to see them in person because the store and grounds are worth the trip!

Wow, the coffee there was so amazing. My wife and I both got different specialty coffee drinks and each was equally fantastic. Perhaps the best coffee drinks I've had since early 2000's in Caracas, Venezuela where a local vendor's Cafe Con Leche was to die for, and the energy kick would be the envy of Redbull, Monster and others. It's a very quaint and interesting gift shop as well.

Fetch is full of fun finds, KC merch, locally sourced product displays, and so much more. The back room is loaded up with some excellent thrift finds, even though the price point is reflective of the unique pieces moreso than just turning over resold 'stuff'. Throw in some cool home accents (I was so close to nabbing the martini olive throw rug) and some other kitschy gems and you have a great spot. Parking is west side street stuff, so you're on your own. The staff is super friendly and always making suggestions, and their playlists are phenomenal. Pricing is on par with the area and like shops, but give yourself a little treat now and then. But give that south wall a gaze, because their sandwich sign social voice is seriously top shelf. I don't care what side of the fence you land on, Fetch focuses their messages on kindness & humanity. Give me more, soooooo much more. And Gretchen was spot on, because it's so Fetch.
