My cousin and his wife like to come to this Malaysian restaurant near their house. I can see why…read more The food is really good and flavorful! Here's what we ordered: Char kuey teow - Spot on. This is exactly what you'd find in Malaysia. Curry laksa - The broth was really good. I actually ended up drinking all of it, which is not the standard. Usually people just eat the noodles and not drink all the broth. The laksa is served with two different kinds of noodles - one thick and one thin (bihon) - and I'm not sure why. I'm just used to the latter. Nevertheless it was delicious. Nasi lemak - Also spot on. You will probably get more meat than you will in Malaysia LOL. This was served with beef, which I'm not used to; usually I've eaten with chicken but since beef is more expensive I'm not complaining. The egg was slightly over boiled but that's ok. I would've given 4 stars for the food alone but docked a star for service. The waitress (seemed to be the owner) knew we were sharing everything. She brought us small bowls and then the char kuey teow. I asked for plates to eat the noodles. She then brought the laksa and said, "I want you to eat the laksa first or else the noodles get soggy." While I didn't disagree, who are you to tell me what order I should eat? And furthermore, why did you bring the char kuey teow first then? My cousin said, "We better eat, or else she won't give us plates." Well, the plates never came. She saw we were done with the laksa but never brought plates. We had to use the same TINY bowl we ate laksa in for the rest of the dishes, and this disrupts the flavors of each individual dish. If anything I would give a 2.5 star rating. This is the only restaurant I have been (and been to many) where they refuse to give you plates!

Delicious meal. The service was excellent too. Very vibrant and pleasant restaurant to eat…read morein...will come back for sure!
