It was after midnight my friend and I were on our way home from a Dinner & Dance ( 6th November, 2017, technically it was about close to 1am Tuesday morning ) that my friend & decided to have a beer or coffee at Glen Waverly but found out that all the coffee shops and eateries were closed except for the China Bar GLEN WAVERLY.
So we decided to go in to China Bar, GLEN WAVERLY,.. we looked at the Menu but decided that we couldn't eat anymore after they party from where we had come from and settled for coffee and a beer.
The waiter came over and we ordered a glass of beer and a coffee. We were told that no liquor/ beer were allowed to be served after 11pm which was fine & we asked for coffee instead , which they didn't have so we both settled for Chinese tea .
No sooner had we put the order in, there was this very rude and demanding loud mouth of a woman , whom we found out was the manager of the place, had demanded that we as patrons of the place must at least order a dish of $8.00 in order to sit in there. My friend and I politely said that we will just have our tea and leave as soon as we finish drinking it ,.. to which she shouted at us and demanded that we have to order a dish of no less than $8.00 , failing which we were not allowed to sit there. We then said if she wanted us to leave immediately , it meant we were not allowed to finish our tea that had just been served to us. So I said to the manager that if she insisted that we leave the premises, we won't be able to finish the tea and if that were the case, we would not be paying for the tea since we were not allowed to drink it. She then proceeded to shout louder at us in front of all the customers that she will call the cops on us if we were to walk out without paying for the tea which we were told by her that we couldn't not sit in there to finish just b cos we did not order a dish or drink of no less than $8.00. She continued to abuse us in a very loud voice for everyone to hear It was very embarrassing for us and everyone there who had to witness this rude and over bearing woman , your appointed manager of CHINA BAR , GLEN WAVERLY. I told her that we will finish our tea and we will leave . She then demanded that we immediately pay for the tea which we did . We left after that.
I wonder if the owner of this particular CHINA BAR ,GLEN WAVERLEY is aware of how his business is run. With such a rude and intimidating manger , it is only a matter of time she will turn your customers away and run your business into the ground. We will definitely be telling people about your outlet and warn them against going to your outlet. It is the customers that make your business thrive, .. customers are the one that brings in the money for you , customers are King , ..we decide where we want to spend our money.
If you the owner do not want your business to go down the drain, you need to make sure your staff are properly trained to serve the customers with respect rather than shout at us and demand that we have to order a dish of no less than $8.00, if not we have to leave ,.. and to be insulted and humiliated in front of all the other customers ,.., you would have to be a fool to entrust your business to a crazy power trip of a low class uneducated woman as the manager of your business.
We are so disgusted with the abusive treatment from your manager that we will make sure no one that we know will go to your outlet to eat. There are so many other places we can spend our money at. We feel sorry for you. Never again!! read more
