From the moment he arrived, it was clear that the staff genuinely care about their patients. Every nurse, CNA, therapist, and team member showed warmth, kindness, and a level of compassion that created a true healing environment. What really stood out is how committed they are to helping patients maintain a sense of normalcy and dignity. They encouraged my dad to keep a daily routine--waking up, getting dressed, and enjoying his meals in the dining room rather than staying isolated in his room. That structure made a remarkable difference in his overall mood and recovery. The activities they offer are wonderful and thoughtfully planned. From bingo and painting to live music and social events, they keep the residents engaged, active, and connected. It's clear they put their hearts into making each day meaningful. She is paying a lot for her studio apartment there and an additional $800 for her assisted care. They recently gave her an invoice that her $800 charge was increased to $1300. They don't even help her now!!!! They refuse to put her arthritis cream on her shoulders but a give her a full shower??? I'm so mad and sad for her. No one who works there seems to care at all. My grandma pressed her life alert at 9:20 one night, no one arrives until almost 11pm because the one person on staff just WENT HOME EARLY BECAUSE SHE WAS TIRED??? No other staff to help with residents and my grandma just had her necklace beeping for over an hour. When someone finally showed up for her to changed her bra and underwear if was some 19 year old man she didn't know. She'd told the staff she was only comfortable with a woman doing that. She's paying so much. This is cruel. I'm on the verge of seeking out a lawyer. This is bordering on elder abuse. Care has been absolutely horrible, especially for the charge and now this increase. I won't let it happen.

Since Loucinda has been MCD the building has improved tremendously. My experience at Vista del Lago has truly been beautiful and inspiring. I first started off as a caregiver but almost immediately was promoted to Med-tech. Being med tech and lead has made me realize my dream is to become a nurse because I love helping others. I applaud Loucinda and Marie because I know that being on the floor is already so difficulty and I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Not only do they both work hard to ensure staff and residents are taken care of but they continually help on the floor when needed. I appreciate Loucinda for allowing me to grow as much as I have and continue to do so. I have learned so many lessons and skills I will carry for years to come in next opportunities. Although some days are very difficult, most days are very rewarding. Working in a setting like this it's almost as if you have 50 grandmas and 50 grandpas and that is truly incredible but challenging at the same time. You can tell all staff in the building truly care for the residents with there whole heart. Working with dementia definitely comes with its difficulties mentally and physically but our directors ensure staff are always cared for. Whether that's leaving their offices open with open ears and arms or buying staff coffee, boba or meals.

Don't let her diminutive size fool you - Colette is a powerhouse with magic hands!…read more I first began seeing Colette for a combination of lower back sciatic pain and a herniated disk in my neck - I was a mess! She focused on the most acute pain first - my back - and got that resolved within weeks by first directly addressing the spots that were causing the pain and then by helping me retrain my body to stop doing the things that were really causing the problem. She then moved on to my neck, which took a bit longer, but with her focused joint stretching, postural changes and simple exercises, I managed to recover completely and avoid surgery. Colette was also key in my recovery from a bilateral mastectomy with lat flap (where the latissimus dorsi muscles are completely removed and shifted to the front for reconstruction). Needless to say, my entire upper torso was completely tight and weak after the surgeries. Colette not only spent many hours massaging the scarred and tight spots, but also gave me the confidence to move again - her reassurance that I was OK and ready to push myself made all the difference. Now, only 6 months after my final surgery, I have full range of motion and am fully back to Pilates and yoga again! The best thing about Colette's approach is her ability to effectively treat patients with very little pain! No burning, stinging fascia massages or crazy deep painful treatments unless absolutely needed - she has a intimate understanding of the body and what it really needs. I was shocked at first because all other PTs I had previously seen followed the same pattern - painful massage/stretch, then exercises, then ice/heat. Rinse and repeat. Pain would then temporarily go away only to return later... With Colette, it was always a good experience - you can feel the progress at each visit and her focus on simple ways to correct whatever is causing the problem really makes a difference in the long run. Lastly, Colette is a awesome person! She is very friendly and welcoming, which made each visit a treat! I obviously cannot recommend her enough - please go see her if you have any pain!! You'll be so happy you did!

Enter Colette- I have seen many physical therapists in my life no one has been as knowledgeable and helpful as Colette. I am a physician and I want to say Colette is truly a healer. She knows the body and was able to correct overall functional problems that I had with posture, Walking, etc. She is very caring and practical. She works on you one to one the whole time. I am now back to doing the things I love. My goal was to be pain free to be able to go for walks. I am now back to dancing!
