The tours and guides speaks and understands English well, they were able to give great recommendations and educations to us about pertinent history needed. 2. The hotels were absolutely a great choice, even though we stayed at a budget hotel, it felt like it was not one. 3. Working with Selene as a travel advisor is a truly a wonderful personal experience, even though I didn't met her personally, it felt like she cared so much and that she response as soon as she could with great recommendations and timely information dissemination. Soon, when we get back I/we would personally look for Selene to be our Advisor. 4. I/we would definitely recommend Peru For Less! With a rating of 100/10! Everything was so smooth and coordinated. It really felt like a vacation for us. We didn't have to worry about anything as long as you follow their instructions. I'd done a cruise before, but had never worked with a tour company---have always been an independent traveler abroad. But for this trip, since we were traveling with a kid to a place we'd never been and had limited knowledge of---and were traveling with another family too---it seemed like a good option. Silvia was lovely to work with, as was the rest of the PfL staff as we organized our trip. The trip had a lot of moving parts, and we had a lot of questions and edits and ideas, and everything came together beautifully. The trip itself (once we got there!---the airlines were problematic but that's not at all PfL's fault!) was absolutely seamless---I mean it. At the appointed times, we'd walk to our hotel lobbies and the tour vans were always either waiting or arriving a moment later, right on time. We never once had to wait or worry. Our private tour guides were outstanding---knowledgeable, friendly (I mean, to the point of buying us local snacks!), charming with our kids, and spoke English better than most Americans do. Special shout-outs to Fabricio (in the Sacred Valley and again in Cusco), Peter (at Machu Picchu) and David (for the food tour in Lima). (Also our guide to the water-light show in Lima, but I'm afraid I've lost his name.) Hiroshi at Inkaterra was also great. Airport transfers were a breeze, hotel check-ins were simple... You cannot get ahold of anyone and they are unresponsive. Nothing to discredit Chad for he did what he could when our flight was cancelled and was available when we called stranded in Mexico at 11:30 at night, because Nexus Transporation refused to take us to our resort due to our flight being cancelled and not showing up for our original shuttle the prior day of which Chad called and tried to arrange. If they have you using Nexus Transporation i would run and argue not to use them. Go look at the reviews online for Nexus if you do not believe me they had 3 stars before my review. What I am not happy about is we were told on the original reservation we would be receiving credits at our resort of $400.00 for our group on our original invoice. I later get to the resort to find out some of us received the credits and some did not. I was pretty livid when I asked about them and he said nobody received credits meanwhile a few of us got to use them and few did not. Our original travel documentation we received had our shuttle scheduled to the airport returning home at a time that was not sufficient for to make our plane. If we kept the original reservation we would have missed our plane. I had to reach out to Chad to fix which he did. More or less I spent most of the time arguing with Nexus Transportation and Engage Vacations to fix my travel issues. Chad was responsive which is why I am giving the 3 stars.
