Excellent programs, small enough to know your professors and advisors and get all of your questions…read moreasked and answered! You can get through your programs in 4 years and get working immediately. This makes a big difference when you compare tuition! Check it out; you may qualify for tuition assistance based on your family's income. Many students receive substantial yearly support based on their high school GPA (or ACT) as well! I went through their nursing program and graduated, easily finding a position in healthcare. I worked in the adult ICU, the Peds ICU and the Neonatal ICU. Then went on to grad school for a Masters in Science and obtained a Family Nurse Practitioner degree through the University of Minnesota. It set me up for advanced practice very well. Their program commonly has NCLEX pass rates between 93 and 100% depending on the cohort. It recently was also named "The #1 Nursing School in MN" for two consecutive years. Whatever your major, you can't go wrong in choosing Concordia College. Take that first step and come take a tour. We would love to visit with you about your dreams for the future!

    1. Beautiful campus-- Welcoming, feels like home, very nice facilities (especially the Integrated…read moreScience Center). Plus the Fargo-Moorhead area has lots to do in comparison to many other towns. 2. Great professors and other resources: They care about you as a person, and they care about your academic success. Professors are typically willing to adapt and work with you as long as you communicate effectively. Never had a bad professor in 4 years. The school provides all the tools you need to succeed, including access to databases for research, staff at the "Center for Student Success" to assist you with writing papers, giving speeches, writing resumes, connecting you with internships or other opportunities, and more. It's up to you to decide how you want to use those resources! 3. Core curriculum: The school requires a few classes outside of your major, which expands your perspective about the world. It can be beneficial to learn about things that you were unfamiliar with, and you will probably find connections from those classes to your own field of study. 4. Tuition/Cost: Yes, it appears to be rather expensive. However, there are lots of scholarship opportunities that can really make it affordable for most. Reach out to the school/do some searching to see what that might look like. 5. Extracurriculars: I had a great experience as an athlete at Concordia. I know that the music program has a great reputation. There are also fun intramural leagues and other clubs to join, if interested.

This was my first college experience at the age of 37. I was nervous as everything was new, but…read moreeveryone here was so helpful, the advisors, the academic counselors, the career counselors, the professors.. After a year I changed my major and transferred to a huge university which was a huge mistake. After a couple of years I started again at MSCTC Moorhead and got the same great help as before. I ended up changing my major a couple more times. Each time the advisors were helpful. I ended up graduating with an AA in Liberal Arts with a 3.93 GPA. The only negative thing I have to say about MSCTC is that I was told that I had all my graduation requirements met, and then I was told that I couldn't graduate. When I finished my courses the next semester that were required (at a fellow university), I got another letter saying I wasn't eligible to graduate. The first problem was that my transcript from the huge university classes that I didn't finish were put in at MSCTC as "in progress", which they weren't. The second problem was that even though I had followed the advice given to me when I asked, the powers that decide had not updated my transcript to include the fellow university classes that I needed to graduate. Eventually that was corrected and I did get my diploma. During the process of these letters, everyone I communicated with to fix the situation were super kind and helpful.

I transferred here from another college. I couldn't be happier with my choice to attend M State in…read moreMoorhead! The professors are helpful and truly want you to succeed. As long as you study hard, you will do fine here.
