The house is extremely cluttered and somewhat strange, with collections of items displayed virtually everywhere. The furnishings are a bit shabby, but generally clean. Breakfast was sub-par. Fruit was good, but pancakes and pre-fab waffles, unappetizing sausage, and some kind of baked oats mush was just not appealing. The owners are very nice and accommodating, but we would not choose to stay here again. It is the closest to the cave, though, so worth considering for that.

When we pulled up, the owner was on the porch welcoming us into their home. The dinner was finishing on the stove, and the house smelled wonderful. The owners were very welcoming; I felt more like a family member who needed somewhere to sleep while in town than a guest. We chose the most significant room with the best bathroom ever. The owners had a mini-fridge in the place with complimentary drinks. They had wine for purchase, but we had brought our own. I like how the owners didn't mind us bringing our own. They have a beautiful fire pit in the back of the house. The owners offered to light one for us, but we were just too tired to enjoy it. We did, however, appreciate the bed; it was the most beautiful bed I have ever slept in. The linens were like what a penthouse suite would have. It was incredible after a long drive. We had forgotten everything at home, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. I had no razor, and I was not looking forward to sleeping without brushing and shaving. However, to my great surprise, ALL THOSE THINGS WERE THERE! I was so shocked and relieved. The next morning we got a knock on the door for breakfast. The most fantastic meal was on the table from the freshly cut strawberries to the homemade omelet. I felt again like a family member coming to visit. We walked around the property, and it was beautiful! Every one of the birdhouses had baby birds in them. The porch sits among a picturesque front garden. The little details all around show a lot of love is invested there. We had to leave that morning, and I felt like again, my family was sad. I had to go and want us to come back. The owner stood in the window as we drove off. I will be back to bed and breakfast. My boyfriend and I after being introduced to B&Bs with such a positive experience have decided to not stay in chains ever again. I know why this is a 5 star place and will stay that

It's a surprise entrance that is not visible coming around a curve. If you see the unused bumper boat pool on the left, you need to be prepared to turn right. Cabins are very nice. Very clean with most amenities. Fridge, TV, microwave. No stove but a hot plate and outdoor grill make up for it. Bring your slow cookers or instant pot if you want to heat something as if on a stove. Ventilation in cabins requires that the wall between main living and bedrooms is open at the top making it hard to watch TV after others go to bed. Nice deck with lovely view. The RV sites are all very long with rock pads. Some of the pads are high and may require an extra step to get in and out of your RV. Bring an extra tank hose extension and electric cord extension if you don't want to be hanging off in the driving lane. Having extra long hoses will improve leveling front to back and get you out of the neighbor's sewer pad on the narrower middle spaces. The owner is onsite and very nice. Not rigid about site assignments. We pulled up to office and called the number on the door for our site assignment and were told to pull into any available space. There is no laundry or bath house so plan to use the full hookup for everything . Would stay again if in the area. Not for tent campers or rigs with no grey/black hook up.

Thank you for not price gouging on the washier and dryers like other places we've stayed at. The machines run 40 min, so your close get cleaned like at home. We've been to sites that were 26 min and the close were never rinsed well. The time started as soon as you hit start, but the water wasn't in. Crazy!! These machines are in great shape. We are able to get our laps in and walk our dogs out on the field track. They have a large bark park with seating. There is a pickleball court. It's is close to the highway. There are plenty of places to throw dog poo away and bags are there if you don't have any. The sites have grass for your dogs, trees or bushes, and fire pits. The staff is most friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this site.

They placed the wedding cake as well as the groom's cake. They also had their first dance there. The weather thankfully held out, the ground was a little soft but not terrible. The food that was served was outstanding. We had green beans, mashed potatoes, chicken, pulled pork, bread, and salad. We were able to set up the music under a small porch. The iced tea and lemonade was off to the side. The inside of the place was very pretty. They had one bathroom. The parking was a little slim but we were able to squeeze in a spot. Overall the entire reception was beautiful. There was only one downfall though, one of the ladies that worked there asked the grandma of the bride "haven't you been here once already" when she went to the food table! Like, WTF? She had only gotten salad and soup the first time, and she went back to get the actual dinner. I witnessed this and thought it was rude. So a star off for that....

We attended a family wedding at Glendale Gardens last night during a beautiful fall evening. The view of the bride and groom was perfect and small mics allowed us to hear their vows. The reception was inside a barn setting and the ceiling was draped in fabric and lights. The food buffet was set up outside the doors. Bathrooms were close and clean, and other areas offered space for drink stations. We had plenty of room for a dance floor plus the DJ set up and dessert display. Plenty of parking was available for guests. We did have to walk up a graveled hill, but the venue also offered golf cart rides to the top. Beautiful, hidden space that creates a private setting for weddings and events. Approximately 1 hr drive from Louisville.
