They are all about Gwenth Paltrow size which is amazing because it seems like all they eat out here is carbs between the pizza, pasta, and gelatos. There ain't no Footlockers or Sports Authorities out here (though Naples does have one FootLocker), so most Italians wear un-official gear of their favorite teams from local stores. The merchandise tends to run small. I wanted to get an outfit of the most popular team in this region, SSC Napoli. They have every possible size and team of all the Futbol teams in the world. Official clothing that holds up after being washed unlike some of the bootleg gear. The employees are very friendly and helpful. And even though my teams are the 49ers, Giants, and Warriors, having a Napoli sweater is cool too. So if you're like me and want to stay hip-hop and don't wear anything smaller than straight leg jeans this is your spot for sports wear. Justin Beiber wears skinny jeans... I'm just sayin...

I went in not knowing much about The Union of European Football Associations. I left still not…read moreknowing much but at least now I can recognize the uniforms of a dozen football teams. Italy, Spain, Belgium - they all have beautifully colored uniforms. And because we were in Italy this shop had just about every major player on the team. If wearing someone else name on the back of your shirt isn't your thing - you can customize your favorite team's jersey with your own name and fav #. Select the font style you like the best and according to the staff the stitching is done in about an hour. That would make for a nice souvenir for someone back home, huh? Staff was friendly enough; the store was well stocked and very clean, and prices seemed reasonable (even after we did the conversion rate). We didn't purchase anything but it was nice to look around.

Simple, but nice sporting gear store on Capri. It was just my luck to have my sneakers come apart…read moreon me about 10 minutes after getting to capri ahead of 4 days of hiking/walking around the hilly island with two kids. I asked our host where to get replacements and he sent me here. The good part is I got a pair of light Nike sneakers for 75 euros, which is a steal by Capri shopping standards. Frustrating was that I couldn't get the New Balance sneakers I usually wear that fit my wide, flat feet. Still, they helped find a pair in my size that fit as well as could be. I wore them averaging 15,000 steps a day for the next 6 days and they were fine. Not perfect, but fine. That's pretty impressive given the circumstances. The rest of the shop seemed like a mix of functional and stylish catering to the people on Capri to play tennis and look sharp doing it. Could they have better stock? Sure. Still, they had functional stuff that I needed, were super-helpful making the best of things and bailed me out of a tough situation.
