The community is a really good fit if you're looking for somewhere quiet and more or less secluded. It always felt like I was in my neighborhood when I drove through here rather than just an apartment complex. There are university students, families, singles, and retired folks. The women in the office were always nice and friendly. Within a few months they will know your name and a little about you because they care. It definitely adds to the community feeling. There are even events like monthly games and Christmas celebrations. The community is gated, so you'll need your gate card to get in. If you forget your gate card you can call yourself and let yourself in. The call box did have trouble with AT&T phones being able to open the gate (it would register that you pressed the button to open the gate but it wouldn't open), but it could have changed since my time. Ask about it. Maintenance was always quick to come and fix whatever was needed. There's only one dumpster in the entire community, but MWF they offer trash pick up on the curve. As far as bugs, I have never had a roach, a stink bug, ants, or anything of that sort. You'll see silverfish from time to time though. They spray ever 3 months for prevention. If you're military/work on post you're about 25-30 minutes to post on 190 when there is no traffic. My husband always opted to take the back way on post through sparta rd which took him around 30-40 minutes. Just keep in mind there are cows back there roaming around at night! Overall, definitely recommend it over the other options in Belton. If you're still comparing, I would choose this again 100% after living in Legacy Landing and having friends in Barton Springs. It's the best bang for your buck and you'll be happy. We only chose to move after my husband and I both needed to drive to Killeen and gas started becoming an issue. We searched for apartments in Killeen, but I can honestly say nothing was able to match the standard of this community (in the end we were so unhappy with the thought of living in apartments that were not these that we rented a house). Dare I say this is the best complex in all of Bell County? I'll let you decide. I know my answer.

Any time I have had to contact the staff or maintenance, they've been very speedy with my requests. There's great parking - each resident has their own reserved, covered spot. The complex is located in a great area as well - it's close to UMHB, I-35, HEB, Wal-Mart, restaurants, and a lot of great parks. They have two really nice pools, each with their own hot tub. The exercise room is kept in excellent condition. I've never had any problems with noise or obnoxious people. It's very quiet and everyone seems very respectful. In saying all of that, let me also say that the staff at River Springs is the most professional and friendliest staff I have ever experienced. You can tell that they love their job and they love people. We all know that working with the public is a very difficult thing to do. I came in to look at and apartment and was treated with such kindness and care. The staff went out of their way to help me in a very difficult time in my life. They are pet friendly, they just asked me to be responsible with my dog. I think that is a very reasonable thing to ask. Moving can be a very stressful but exciting time, it is just nice to know that their is still a classy and upscale option in this area for apartment living. Thank you River Springs staff for actually caring about your job and the people that come in your doors that are looking for a home. After all of that being said, I have decided to make River Springs my new home. I am looking so forward to letting someone else take care of my home for me. I have lived at the Bluffs for years. First with my sister when we lived in the three bedroom…read moreapartment and now with my own family living in a 2 bed room. I can tell you a few things about these apartments. First, they're over priced for the space you're getting access to, especially the kitchen which even in the 3 bedroom apartments are ridiculously small and can't have more than one person in them at a time. Very little counter space to prepare meals on which really irritates me every time I have to cook a meal in it. I am currently paying over $700 a month for an apartment with about 700 sqft in it. The 'master' bedroom can barely fit a king sized mattress. Additionally, the layout of the two bed room apartment we live in is very strange. The living room is skinny rectangle with barely enough room to set a couch across from a TV with a fireplace shoved into the corner of the room. Why are there so many fireplaces in TX? It only gets down to 30 degrees in this state in the winter! That space could have been used for something else like a pantry in the kitchen which the 2 bedrooms lack or God forbid more counter space to use to prepare meals on.. There are other issues as well. Such as leasing rules not being enforced on a regular basis without a complaint and the pool being too small and a mess most of the time (leaves, seed pods, dirt...I even found a used condom in the pool once). I stopped going to the pool with my family because it is too small for the amount of people trying to use it. Lastly, the pet policy is ridiculous. Not only do you pay $500 for the first pet, you pay an additional $250 for additional animals. This is expensive and I used to live in Maryland/D.C. which has the highest cost of living in the country. There are some good things. The maintenance staff is responsive to problems, even at night when they're normally off work and the office staff is polite and help you out. The management itself needs work and the pricing of the apartments need to be looked at and adjusted more for this area.
