My original appointment was an afternoon appointment - I usually ask for the latest appointment available to minimize the impact on my work schedule. The day before my appt, I got a call telling me they needed to reschedule me, and I accepted a 9am appt about 9 days later. Prior to the appointment, at their suggestion, I checked in online, answering the many health questions you'd expect. On the day of my appointment, they handed me an iPad and had me answer all of those questions again. Not a big deal, but what's the point of "saving time" by doing it in advance? Okay, so I'm taken to the exam room by 9am, or close enough. And then I sat. And sat. And realized that I was in a typical, overbooked doctor's office/insurance mill. At 9:15 I decided 9:20 would be my cut-off, but I waited until 9:25, at which point I walked out to the lobby.There were 2 or 3 people standing in line at the window, so rather than waiting to tell them that I'm done waiting, I left. It was a work day. Just as I pulled up to my work parking garage, at 9:38 - THIRTY-EIGHT MINUTES after my appointment, they called my phone looking for me. I explained that I had to go to work. They asked if I wanted to reschedule. I explained that apparently I'd have to wait for a day off to schedule with them, at which point, I think she got my point. I know this is the American health care model - over book to maximize the number of insurance claims you can file in a day. They know we're used to this and that we'll just tolerate the complete lack of respect for OUR time. But my ENT need is not that severe, and my time is just as important to me as their insurance money is to them. So, I have no knowledge about the doctors at this clinic. And I'll find another office and be very specific with them when I make my appointment. read more

Wait time was less than I expected, especially considering I was a next day patient. Dr Cecola was great my exam was very thorough, I'm on the necessary meds and already starting to feel better! You can get an appointment sometimes the same day or definitely the next day. The doctors are there for you always! Finally I was recommended to Dr Boudreaux who sent me in for a CT scan and we decided to go in and surgically clean out my sinus. Surgery went great, no need for pain meds. So grateful for NOLA ENT. I visited at the start of COVID-19 because everywhere else was closed and would not see me. I had massive ear pain and blocked hearing. I called in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in later that same day, a miracle because I was in so much pain. The waiting room was locked from the outside so that people would not just walk in, sanitizer everywhere, everything was clean. The area in the back where all the ear tools were looked a bit daunting at first, but the Doctor that saw me (I forgot his name!) was nice, professional, and quick. They accept medicaid (it's hard to find that info without just calling around so i hope that helps someone). The wait was a bit long, but there were a lot of patients (maybe fitting people in same day). There's a little area for kids to play which was very helpful. The staff was very nice. I saw Dr. Cecola, he was very attentive and took his time with me. My problem was something that was involving the inner ear, something that he couldn't help me with. However he was familiar with my condition because of a seminar he attended. He gave me information on it and a website I could use to find more about it. I woke up one day and was having significant issues with my left ear. Everything was muffled and what I could hear was distorted. I panicked and ran over to see Dr.Cecola as a first time patient, and was able to be seen the same day. He was very helpful, and they were able to immediately give me a hearing test to check for signs of sudden hearing loss. Thankfully, after a round of steroids, my hearing is back to normal.
