The first time I visited I waited for over 1 hour. The receptionists said, "Oh you weren't in the checked in list. whoops". I checked in on this ridiculous germ filled Ipad when I arrived. I watched one by one go in before me after waiting over an hour. There outdated IPad check in is ridiculous. The receptionists are dense and incompetent. They do not have answers to important questions. After speaking with me about my insurance they asked me to sit down. After 30 minutes I went back up to the window and asked her if she had the information she needs and she responded "yes". I said, okay were you going to tell me? Why wouldn't she communicate that to me? I would have been sitting there for a hour or longer if I didn't say something. Then some assistant with pink and blue hair (unprofessional) said to me there are only 2 doctors here. It's busy and you will have to wait. What the hell! What receptionists say that to a patient in a doctors office. I've never been treated this horrible way at any physicians establishment. Cecola was fine. I was able to get a same day appointment. Welcomed by excellent staff, treated by a kind doctor and received quality care.

My original appointment was an afternoon appointment - I usually ask for the latest appointment available to minimize the impact on my work schedule. The day before my appt, I got a call telling me they needed to reschedule me, and I accepted a 9am appt about 9 days later. Prior to the appointment, at their suggestion, I checked in online, answering the many health questions you'd expect. On the day of my appointment, they handed me an iPad and had me answer all of those questions again. Not a big deal, but what's the point of "saving time" by doing it in advance? Okay, so I'm taken to the exam room by 9am, or close enough. And then I sat. And sat. And realized that I was in a typical, overbooked doctor's office/insurance mill. At 9:15 I decided 9:20 would be my cut-off, but I waited until 9:25, at which point I walked out to the lobby.There were 2 or 3 people standing in line at the window, so rather than waiting to tell them that I'm done waiting, I left. It was a work day. Just as I pulled up to my work parking garage, at 9:38 - THIRTY-EIGHT MINUTES after my appointment, they called my phone looking for me. I explained that I had to go to work. They asked if I wanted to reschedule. I explained that apparently I'd have to wait for a day off to schedule with them, at which point, I think she got my point. I know this is the American health care model - over book to maximize the number of insurance claims you can file in a day. They know we're used to this and that we'll just tolerate the complete lack of respect for OUR time. But my ENT need is not that severe, and my time is just as important to me as their insurance money is to them. So, I have no knowledge about the doctors at this clinic. And I'll find another office and be very specific with them when I make my appointment. read more

I was in pain and they were able to get me in next day. The office staff was friendly and efficient and they made check in easy. Wait time was less than I expected, especially considering I was a next day patient. Dr Cecola was great my exam was very thorough, I'm on the necessary meds and already starting to feel better! You will not find a better physicians office anywhere in New Orleans - the best. I've been a patient since I'm 16 (Dr Lyons) and now I'm 70! You can get an appointment sometimes the same day or definitely the next day. The doctors are there for you always! How many times I've gone feeling like crap and started feeling better driving home after everything was sprayed, suctioned and opened up - nothing like immediate relief. Dr Cecola has been my ENT a long time as well as Dr Lousteau- in the past - great personalities and excellent physicians & surgeons. I have sent many to them both over the years. Dr Boudreaux is amazing. I was miserable with constant sinuses infections. Finally I was recommended to Dr Boudreaux who sent me in for a CT scan and we decided to go in and surgically clean out my sinus. Surgery went great, no need for pain meds. The office visits after were great. The best was the day after my surgery I had no headache!! I've had a headache for months and it was finally gone. So grateful for NOLA ENT. I visited at the start of COVID-19 because everywhere else was closed and would not see me. I had massive ear pain and blocked hearing. I called in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in later that same day, a miracle because I was in so much pain. The waiting room was locked from the outside so that people would not just walk in, sanitizer everywhere, everything was clean. The area in the back where all the ear tools were looked a bit daunting at first, but the Doctor that saw me (I forgot his name!) was nice, professional, and quick.
