I've been a patient at Colorado Clinic for over 6 years for chronic pain. I've had a series of good…read moredoctors caring for me at this clinic during those 6 years and have had very good success until recently with the office management. There was a change in management recently and things started going down hill from the new management. I had a meeting with the Practice Manager, Joe Kaufman, which lasted all of 5 minutes. I cut the meeting short when he started interjecting false statements what I had said that were untrue. (Specifically, when he said that I asked for my pain meds after I stated that I had a headache.) After reading many of the bad reviews on this site, I am beginning to believe most of this clinics problems revert back to the level of the office manager. The lack of intregrity and organization has to be where a lot of their problems exist. I've never had any incidents or concerns with my immediate doctors, or the front scheduling ladies, or the doctors' assistants, until I had this HEPA concern with my records and the confidentiality in the office procedures with the manager and his unprofessional procedures in this office. When I tried to address him about it, he tried turning the blame back on me. He did not handle the situation in a professional manner to satisfactorily resolve the issue with my medical documentation. He left me with the feeling that he had broken the HEPA policy regarding the confidentially of my medical records and also in the fact that he does not have a clear understanding of the proper procedures of introducing himself when he enters a patient's room while I was waiting to see my doctor in private. While he did knock on the door, he did not give his name or who he was with, and was not wearing any noticeable ID. I at first thought he was with a computer vendor about medical survey I had just completed. He immediately started with IPad in hand giving instructions on what needed to be done to get my medical records up-to-date, which I had stated I had just completed. This information was very confidential and I wanted to know where the information went that I had just filled out. His comment was, "I don't know". My answer was, "then you have a problem...." "My medical information is missing somewhere, I'm waiting to see my doctor, and I have a headache." I also stated that numerous patients had had trouble with the survey program in trying to fill out the questionnaire out in the lobby. The touch pad was not working properly and it's not very user friendly. When this stranger that I thought was a computer vendor was rudely insisting that I re-enter all the lengthy survey I had just entered, I asked him to leave my appointment room so I could continue with my doctor's appointment. The next day I had another meeting in the building and went back to the Clinic to get the name of the man that had so rudely entered my appointment room unannounced, and learned of his name and actually met with him long enough to understand that I wasn't dealing with an ethical Individual. I ended the meeting once he stated that I just needed to take it to the Medical Board, which will be my next step. This could be an indication of the large number of turnover in the professional staff at this clinic, along with many of the unorganized, haphazard ways of running this office. I hope my feedback helps to clarify what is happening with some of their problems. The doctors and staff are really very conscientious each and every time over the 6 years I've been coming here. Sure they have had a tremendous turnover in staff, but after meeting with the management, I can safely say it appears that many of the problems I have observed in this office stem from the management's area of concern and not the staff or the doctors.

Prepare to be insulted, lose your dignity, your sense of fairness and get locked into being on…read moreparole for a crime you never committed. I showed up on time for an initial interview and the front desk lost me in the order of patients to be seen. So I was late according to them. And they let me know how negatively they looked down on that. But on their extensive paperwork to enter their kingdom they say they will, in the future, charge you $50 for being late. The person doing the interview was unfriendly, matter of fact, and then became hostile when I didn't behave like a good prisoner. I more or less told him to shove it all up you know where. Save yourself the punishment. Don't even go there.
