As that we were in the area, we were looking at Yelp to find a place for lunch. We say Quyen W.'s review and decided to stop in. When we went in a sign directed us to the back dining room, and we walked back and were told to have a seat anywhere. After choose a table in the corner, we observed the menu which was a 3 X 4 piece of paper at each chair. The menu for lunch listed 3 entree's that came with a roll and mashed potatoes and a choice of green beans or corn. So we both chose the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and roll. Sounds dull doesn't it? Well we thought so and were fantastically pleased to find out that the chicken fried steak was hand breaded and tasted great, not food service pre made frozen stuff here! The mashed potatoes were made from scratch and the green beans were as well. The roll was also made from scratch and you could tell it was not a mix. For dessert homemade chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. All this for $9.98! This was one of the best home cooked meals Tiffany and I have had in a long time! It was like sitting at your grandmothers kitchen table and her heaping goodness on your plate! We were just blown away at how good the food was! So go here and enjoy a meal as good as grandma would have made, it's worth the trip!

One word: WOW! No wait, two words: OH WOW!…read more I was recently in OKC to help out at the Yelpies, and the next day my colleague and I decided to have a celebratory brunch before I boarded my flight home to the PNW. Knowing my love for eclectic places with a local vibe, she picked Bradford House. All I can say is...why isn't this place closer to home?! Bradford House is a hotel/restaurant/bar located in an old house which doesn't look super exciting on the outside, but once inside the door I you're greeted by bright, vivid colors, whimsical decor, and all the little touches that make a place special. We meandered through the adorable bar and to the self-service counter to order our food. The server/cashier was absolutely adorable. I wish I remembered her name! She was so helpful and friendly, throughout our entire visit. I ordered the eggs benedict because, well, who can resist an eggs benny on a cold Thursday morning? I also got a glass of their fresh-squeezed OJ, and we shared a French press. The coffee was divine, and I was only a few sips in when my benny arrived. It was SO delish. It had the classic benny components but also a nice shmear of their house-made, semi-spicy bacon jam to put it over the top. This was six days ago and I am still craving a repeat! My work friend enjoyed her breakfast as well, and after we were done we even managed to plug into their wi-fi and get a few minutes of post-event tasks done before I headed to the airport. When in OKC, if you're looking for an amazing brunch, go here no matter what!

Let's start with the good. The breakfast platter definitely hit the spot. The eggs were softly scrambled, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the potatoes were well seasoned and tender. The jam was house made and it was delicious. Now, the salmon... unfortunately, that was a letdown. I could tell it was overcooked before the first bite. If only I had some grits. They do offer fresh pastries to order, and if I'm in the area again, I'd give them a try. #GratuityAdded

My husband wanted to surprise me with a "Gilmore Girls" type wonderful inn experience and it was such a treat! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was absolutely charming. I loved the comfortable living area and cozy fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful and had amazing water pressure in the shower. I loved the way the rooms were decorated with cute old fashioned decorations that were Oklahoma themed (we had a birdhouse themed room one night.) One thing I really loved was how wonderful they were about accommodating my medical issues. I have gluten sensitivity and also severe migraines, which make me very sensitive to light. They were so nice about unplugging some lights out on the porch that were bright so that I could sit by the windows without getting a headache. As for the food, sometimes when you're traveling and have to find gluten free food on the road, it can be a bit of a challenge, but oh, the food here was DIVINE! Breakfast one morning was a gluten free omelet with all the fixings, plus a big varied selection of fruit, plus GF cinnamon toast, plus there were these great smoothies. So good! Another day, it was these delicious gluten free blue corn pancakes that I practically inhaled, plus really yummy home fried potatoes with pork, plus a selection of fruit and the wonderful fruit smoothies again. There were even gluten free cookies available upon arrival! We'll definitely be staying there again the next time we drive through Oklahoma City!

The bed was comfy, the room cozy and the hot tub was private and the perfect addition! We walked to dinner and came back and enjoyed a glass of wine in the back sitting area. The staff was so friendly with complimentary cookies and wine (not only white...wish there was a red option) in the evening. And breakfast...it was delicious and the perfect portions. Everyone who helped us was lovely and I think I convinced my hubby the Bed N Breakfast Inns can be fun!
