Ordered a Caramel macchiato and half pot of the Korean Evergreen tea. $11.41 Cool there is a tea focused cafe, that's rare. The Caramel macchiato is pretty good. The evergreen tea is quite sparse as far as the tea content in the half pot. The spring acts as a strainer, but leaves end up in every glass of your sips. The tea doesn't have much flavor to it, it's quite subtle and tastes mostly like a hot water. I do like the small double insulated cha cup, works well and keeps it cool to the touch.

My ex-husband's go-to gift for me was their loose-leaf tea, and we spent a significant amount of money supporting this business over the years. However, after the move to 23rd Street, the attitude shifted drastically. The owner consistently came across as short, dismissive, and visibly annoyed whenever asked basic questions. The breaking point was in December 2023. A friend and I stopped by on a Friday evening after shopping nearby and politely asked if we could sit inside. Instead of a normal answer, we were met with open contempt and chastised with a sharp, snarling, "We've been to-go only since COVID." It is jarring to see a local business owner present a warm, community-minded image while treating paying customers with outright hostility behind the counter. I love tea and always prefer supporting local, but I haven't set foot in this shop since--and I actively avoid buying tea from other local spots that carry her product. You can find great tea elsewhere without the heavy side of disdain.

The problem was that it took twenty minutes and ordering it three different times to actually get it. This was OKC marathon weekend, and seemed to be approaching college final exams. So the shop was pretty busy with only two working the counter. In fact, it was hard to even find somewhere to sit. Luckily it was just me, so I squeezed in at the corner of a sofa and did some people watching. The shop was cute, quaint, a little bit of a quirky vibe. I could definitely see the appeal for all the college kids doing work on their laptops there. Buuuut. I originally ordered a drink. Something iced, a flavor recommended by the girl who took my order. Sat down and waited. And waited. Lots of drinks were getting churned out, but finally I realized the people who ordered after me were already leaving with their orders. So I went back to the counter to ask. I was told Oh, we'll get it right out. I'm guessing they thought I was still in the queue of drinks to be made. Because I waited some more. Finally asked again with a different barista, and she apologized and admitted they either lost my drink order or gave it to someone else. So she made one fresh and reimbursed me for the cost of the drink. In the end, I have no issues with how they handled it. They were fair and polite. And luckily I wasn't suuuper pressed for time. Still just unfortunate that I waited so long for a cup of coffee that I can barely remember now - but hey, at least it was free.
