Right next to the beautiful river with ducks. Unfortunate that the deli across the road has closed (anyone want to buy & run a deli???! Haha). My toddler and my 8 month old both loved it. I guess the fact that Noarlunga does happen to be one of the older parts of Adelaide does add to the charm of the place. The other thing is that there is a pretty decent sized river that happens to run past here as well, and the river also have cliffs (and I really do like rivers with cliffs, such as this one). Yeah, this park is pretty cool, and is also good size as well.

This is a rather large central area to Old Noarlunga. There's a lot of space and grass with plenty of shade and shelter as well. There is a rather large playground which is quite a bit different to most others so keep the kids occupied a bit longer. Plus there is heaps of car parking on side and around the outside of the grounds, a lot of it in the shade also. There was more than one area with tables and chairs and BBQ's - so better chances of getting one when there are quite a few here. Apparently there is also power available here but I didn't see it. I would presume it would be in the main larger undercover area with BBQ's but there were some people having their own function there so I didn't want to intrude on them. There is also a georgeous water fountain here which is apparently the Princess Diana Fountain.

This reserve is right next to the recreation centre and part of it is the skate park they refer to…read moreand use for certain activities but it is also available to anyone. There is seating, a table, shelter, plenty of trees for shade around the outsides but none over the main larger playground area. There is some shade over the cool spider man looking net thing the kids can play on though. For drinks and toilets you would need to go into the rec centre and hope it was when they were open. Nice place to stop for an hour or so though. Plenty of lawned area to run around or kick a footy.

This one is along the foreshore near the end Nelson Street at Port Noarlunga South. It's a really…read morenice spot with plenty of car parking nearby (tho it would get full quickly in summer) and it's right where the esplanade starts to bend out further, so the view is great down the coast. There was a nice gazebo style seating and under cover area, a bin close by, water and BBQ's. The seating is not far from the playground itself which is fully fenced as well. The only thing missing is the toilet. There are some toilets further down the esplanade though if you need. There is absolutely NO shade over ANY of the play equipment so make sure you put sunscreen on the kids. Being right on the Esplanade it's a nice touch that the council put a boat in the playground.

Quite a bit bigger than at most playgrounds. I definitely wouldn't want my 2 year old on it but for an older child it is lots of fun. There are also a couple of different swing area's and a springy bouncing animal thing they can sit on. All the playground area has bark chips underneath. There's a sheltered area with table and chairs, a drinking fountain, a basketball area and some bike tracks. There were plenty of tree's and shade and lots of space. No toilets or BBQ's.

Plus the park had built up areas to make slight hills around the sides of it secluding it a little from the roads. One part was even in the shade and looked a great spot for a picnic. There's a basketball area, two completely separate playgrounds with slightly different equipment to most other playgrounds,a sheltered area with table and chairs, off street parking and a cricket pitch. Oh p;lus a water fountain and bin. Unfortunately no toilets either though. There is an old building on one side all fenced off. Not sure on their plans for this space.

With a few upgrades, mainly for younger children, it could get there. It's a massive space with netball court, tennis court, soccer field with goals PLUS playgrounds, bike paths and a skate park. The skate park is pretty goos and a little bigger than some others around. It has a better run off area and lots more space for people to watch. Plus a rail and half pipes and the usual skating stuff. Could be used by skaters, riders, boarders and bladers alike. There was a small playground but it would only keep my child occupied for about 5 minutes. There were also a few chairs around the place, some shade and a drinking fountain. There is a proper big old brick toilet block on one side of the park which was fine to use. Take a few balls and your portable BBQ and you could have a really nice day out here. Plenty of parking close by. But I would expect it would be really busy during sport seasons.

I'm really glad there were children on it actually, it would be a shame to see a place like this empty on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The locals really would use this area well. There's a BBQ, a couple of shaded table/chair combos and a compact yet engaging playground. Can you believe that I forgot to check out the drinking fountain situation????? I must have had a moment of bliss watching the families making the most of this pretty play space. Children were on the playground. Parents and children were kicking footballs. Another child was riding around on his bike. Yay for great playgrounds and double yay for people using them! I didn't see a sign, but I imagine this could be a *No dogs within 10 meters of the play equipment* park
