Extremely unprofessional and incompetent staff member in the Brisbane CBD store who was argumentative for the sake of it. Nothing worse than somehow who argues with you but is clueless and doesn't know what they're talking about. Took a pair of Aquila 100% Italian leather shoes in for a heel stack replacement. The heel stack replacement itself was good, however I noticed after just 24 hours at Hallelujah ShoeWorks that the leather behind the toe cap (where the shoe bends when walking) had deflated to the worst I have ever seen. I always use shoe trees after every day at work to ensure the leather is straight and to help prevent the shoe from sagging. My shoes had already began to sag a little, but NOTHING to the degree I saw when retrieving the shoes. To my amazement, when I pointed this out to the staff member they denied it and stated it was always like that (how I would have loved to show a photo). I can guarantee you it wasn't like that and if the shoes have been damaged, I will be seeking Fair Trading advice. It may be that the shoes have simply deflated after 24 hours without a shoe tree as I do use shoe trees daily and if that is the case, it's fine. The issue here is actually the terrible customer service. Instead of offering explanations or solutions as to why that may have happened, they pretend that it never did instead! The staff member accused me of "trying to get a refund for my shoes" (pretty amusing desperation by them) and I also saw that part of the leather lining inside my shoe had peeled off, which it never had before. To top it off, upon picking up my shoes I surrendered the 'paid' ticket which proved I ordered the heel stack replacement and requested a receipt. I was told by the same staff member that they would have already issued a personal receipt yesterday. I checked all my receipts and there's not one there! Lol!! To me, this experience has been valuable because it demonstrates how this business will not take responsibility for problems they may have caused and don't provide adequate service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more
