I did my research, as always I read all the good and bad comments... the bad ones stand out people complaining how expensive it is. As I read deeper, all the success stories, I was reminded of a mentor of mine. He once said to me, Stephanie if you got talent you got it! if you don't you don't! Whats the worst they can say? It's No! Then another mentor of mine said, Stephanie if your going to study a subject, let's say you want to become a Doctor, you'll need years of training! After that residency, after that every year training to keep your license! I signed up for the classes and never looked back! SDMM claims; "California State Talent Agency Commission licensed and bonded for your protection." There's also many negative reviews on the web. As a person involved with models, I was asked to look into this. In Cal to be an Agent, you'll need to be licensed and bonded. Which means liability insurance, business lic, bond, and workers comp w/employees. If approved, you're given a Talent Lic Number. That's usually posted on the website, per it shows you're for real. It's a short list on the Cal database. Most people are managers. Add, on SDMM site for policies, 1 is photos can't be used for personal sites-blogs, unless approved earlier. I understand I'm this industry it take money to make money, however the agents haven't gotten my daughter one single booking and I truly wish I could sue or find means to get my money back. They hyped us up just for a pay day it seems. Because my daughter completed her classes months ago downloaded the moxy app (which I have to pay for monthly) and still no gigs. As a parent who doesn't have it like that but want to see my child excel and stride for better I went against my better judgement and trusted these people and it's been almost a year being signed with them and she hasn't gotten one job/ gig.

They promise they'll help you find an agent and do all this stuff for you and teach you modeling acting all of it. Really what it is, is a once a week two hour class online and you can reach out to them if you have questions. It's like one of the better scams. I've seen out there because I almost lost 2400. That's what they charge for their "class" which for what you get is a complete rip off. And don't be fooled by them giving you the whole second interview BS. Everyone gets the second interview and everyone gets the same chance they don't look for talent and then exclude people. The only thing that it will exclude you as if you don't pay the $2400. And of course they charge a nice $75 fee just for their happiness I guess.

She will get you auditions, coach you on what and what not to do. She will recommend workshops that helped a little for me. What you will learn is YOU have to put in the work in the beginning, sometimes work for free or low pay, and it requires investments on your part to get going. Paying for quality head shots. Signing up and paying for the Casting Networks website. YOU have to submit for gigs as well. She will help you write your resume but again, there is a lot you need to do on your own. A great way to get started in the business and learn what to do. Once you get an agent, you can back off on self-submitting. I wound up getting two "under five" roles on soap operas, got cast in a featured role in a well-known reality show, and many commercials. I eventually transitioned back into a full-time regular job, BUT did community theatre in San Diego County, which really honed my skills and gave me confidence. As I approach retirement, I plan to pursue acting full-time again. The negative Yelp reviews on Camie and HTA are from those that are not willing to put in the hours and do the work.

FANTASTIC. Excellent customer service, excellent offering. Just all around terrific…read more I take birthday parties seriously. I was coming off a low point in my party planning career when the entertainment failed to show for my son's 4th. It was a disaster. So when I decided to hire a pirate for his 5th birthday party, I had to be sure the talent company was reliable and good. They came through like champs. I wish I could give them 10 stars. It started with Anthony Bollotta, who was my original point of contact. He followed up with my emails quickly, and even apologized for not getting an immediate answer to a few of my questions. He provided quotes for several pirate options. I picked the one that suited my pocket book and my son's interests the best. Knowing my situation, he offered to conduct a phone call with the pirate a few days in advance. This set me at ease because I knew exactly the plan for the party. From that conversation I also knew that he would actually show up. On the day of the event, Bollotta sent a coordinator to our house in advance. Part of the pirate's shtick was a full-house treasure hunt. The coordinator scouted the house for treasure hotspots and made sure we were still comfortable with the plan. Finally, at precisely the time we agreed, Captain Scurvy appeared in full pirate costume. THE KIDS WENT WILD. He engaged them in games, sword fighting, balloon making, and treasure hunting. I had about 20 5-year old boys there and they were all enamored with him. It was totally perfect. He and his assistant followed up after the party, too. Throughout everything he was personable and attentive. I am so happy I found them, and I intend to use them again for other parties in the future.
