The owner, Cameron, used to be a mechanic, and auto body worker, so in addition to his lawn services and snow plowing (both of which we have used, successfully), I would imagine you could also use him for mechanic's services. His integrity? Well, last winter, when he was plowing our driveway, he accidentally backed into the right rear corner of my car, which was parked outside, creating a significant dent. RIGHT AWAY, without hesitation, he told me about it AND offered to repair it at no cost (which he did, once the weather warmed up a bit). Looks as good as new. Now THAT is Integrity! I have a feeling he hasn't advertised a whole lot, so you may not have heard of this company; I urge you to give him a shot for lawn care, snowplowing, and maybe even car repair. He's a good man.

Our search for a lawn maintenance company did not stop as the weather started to warm up. I called…read moremultiple lawn companies only to discover they had minimum charges that ranged from $35 to $45 for our small front yard and our backyard that doesn't even require mowing (it's full of river rock). I was stunned. I checked Craig's List as a last resort and happened on Simon & Son Lawn Care. After looking at our yard they told me their minimum fee was $25, which was a whole lot more tolerable. I hired them immediately. Simon & Son has already finished our Spring clean up and I just called them to start mowing for the Spring/Summer season. They did an excellent job. They were careful of all my plants, yet they got all the leaves from under our deck in the backyard. They picked up all the sticks and branches that had fallen over the winter and got all the leaves from under the pine trees near the road. There are bigger lawn companies in Kalamazoo, but they charge almost twice as much to do the exact same job and they pressured me to fertilize, seed and water before I had even hired them. We are very happy to have a small, locally owned, and efficient company taking care of our lawn again.

Their rates are reasonable and Nick has been very responsive to requests for additional yardwork, like trimming our front bushes, as well as proactive, but not pushy, in offering additional services, like leaf blowing. He has always checked first and let us know the cost of any additional services before doing them. I would definitely recommend Simon & Son to those in the Kalamazoo area looking for a fair-priced and attentive lawn service.

The pictures do not do it justice to the amount of labor- all done by hand- that was required to fix the boulder wall. There was a LOT of perennials and hydrangeas to work around as well as a tree and shed. They did an amazing job with very little damage to the plants. I cannot say enough about the professional job that was done and the gentlemen that did it. It was a pleasure to work with this company and I would highly recommend them!

We have many trees so always lots of branches and twigs in the yard. Sometimes i forget to pick up the hoses before they come and they take care of that. The "lawn gets mowed bi-weekly and they cut around all the new plantings nicely. I'm had some edging done. The moles took care of that quite easily!! Lol. All in all a good looking yard done by them.

His 3 D plan was amazing and the final product looks like his plan and I couldn't even imagine he could transform it into the beautiful patio we now have. When surprises, out of their control happened and no fault of their own came up, they immediately told us and they came up with solutions. The project included the sand, mulch, top soul, seed and spreading plants. Jake promised a date and made it. I highly recommend them.
