The aji verde sauce wasn't noticeable and the pickled onions complimented the meat, but the placement was wrong or not enough. It was good, but each bite felt like it was missing something. The sandwich is a 6.5 for me and I feel lime and spice would kick it up a few notches. Now, I've had a lot of Korean fried chicken in my day and my expectations may be higher than most. The glaze of the chicken was so mild you barely taste it compared to spots that purely do Korean fried chicken. I'm expecting the same flavor explosion in my mouth but left disappointed. I'd give it an 8/10. It's good, but I just had better. The carnitas grilled cheese I also ordered opted to try something not traditional. Again this one was a miss. The cheese overpowered any taste of meat. I will say the crunch seared on the bread was sensational. It just couldn't make up for the lack of flavor. The store opened recently and it's very much a take out restaurant that sells one of the best fried chicken sandwiches at a decent price. I called ahead because UberEats has a slight surcharge and they were able to finish my order in 15 mins. I came over and got the food within a minute. Quick service and the food was delicious.
