Okay! The prices are fair! So I like that. The place is small but it's in Jersey City so it's cute and I love that they were playing 90'a rap/hip hop! Service is quick, we only waited like 10 minutes for 2 Mexican cheesesteaks. The cheesesteaks had the look of a Mexican style cheesesteak. The meat had all of the flavor but that was the problem! The aji verde sauce wasn't noticeable and the pickled onions complimented the meat, but the placement was wrong or not enough. They added that sweetness I was looking for to go with the meat just a little bit. The needed lime and spice. The entire time I was eating a sandwich. It was good, but each bite felt like it was missing something. The sandwich is a 6.5 for me and I feel lime and spice would kick it up a few notches. Stopped in before watching a show at the nearby venue so i had no expectations tbh, but i would say if i did have any they would have definitely surpassed them. My only criticism I will say that it was a very heavy and oily sandwich however, and you will feel a little bloated after. Now, I've had a lot of Korean fried chicken in my day and my expectations may be higher than most. The glaze of the chicken was so mild you barely taste it compared to spots that purely do Korean fried chicken. I'm expecting the same flavor explosion in my mouth but left disappointed. I'd give it an 8/10. It's good, but I just had better. The carnitas grilled cheese I also ordered opted to try something not traditional. Again this one was a miss. The cheese overpowered any taste of meat. I will say the crunch seared on the bread was sensational. It just couldn't make up for the lack of flavor. The food is always fire here but I'm actually here to speak on the amazing heart/service from one of the workers. I finished an appt. nearby and was craving the chicken Caesar salad sandwich so I stopped by but they opened up at 12PM, it was 11:40AM. Okay... so... I ordered delivery from GrubHub. Let me start with the positives. The Korean chicken sandwich had good flavor. The chicken is basted in a sticky hot honey kind of sauce. The Asian slaw was tasty. I liked that the chicken breasts weren't super thick but thin slices. The not so good... When delivering a sandwich that has lots of sauces, the best thing to do is deconstruct it. Put the sauces on the side and put the buns in the oven so they don't get so soggy. The store opened recently and it's very much a take out restaurant that sells one of the best fried chicken sandwiches at a decent price. I called ahead because UberEats has a slight surcharge and they were able to finish my order in 15 mins. I came over and got the food within a minute. Quick service and the food was delicious. Food: Peruvian - super crispy with sauces and great taste. The pickled red onions were delicious and all the sauces made the sandwich.
