    Italian Chicken Sandwich
    Alyssa E.

Solid spot for a great chicken sandwich. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the sauces were flavorful, and the price was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and even cut the sandwich in half for us when we mentioned we were sharing. It's a small, unassuming place, but they know how to deliver on quality and service. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Delicious sandwiches in Jersey City! I had the Peruvian Chicken Sandwich which was packed with lots of panko breaded chicken and loads of flavor. The fries were also great. I was also interested in trying the Korean Chicken Sandwich. Restaurant has 6 seats indoors and 3 tables outdoors when the weather is nice. Friendly staff. Price is reasonable. Parking can be difficult as it is street parking.

    Chicken Cesar sandwich

I have been here a handful of times & every time I've tried a new sandwich. They literally never disappoint - I have yet to have a bad experience! My most recent try was their chicken Cesar sandwich & let me tell you, it was soooo delicious! 10/10 - no notes. I'm not sure if this is a permanent item on the menu but if it's not, it definitely should be. The sweet potato fries are also very good! Highly recommend!

I got the Peruvian chicken sandwich. This is so worth your money omg. It was not one but two pieces of fried chicken stacked together, and it was piping hot & juicy. Such a satisfying meal. Anytime you want a fried chicken sandwich, you should come here.

Great food. Awesome service. Chicken Sando was tops. (Korean chicken was not too hot. Kinda sweet.) Burger looked good too. Yum.

The Korean. Very messy but a must get because it's juicy and crunchy chicken.

ive had my eye on this spot for a minute. glad i finally came in and will be back. I grabbed the korean. the chicken is crunchy, but juicy. theres layers of flavor. VERY MESSY. i didnt think this was spicy, but felt some heat. the slaw is nice on top. the bun is buttery, but toasted. the sandwich itself is steep, priced at $15, but i think it's worth it. its made well and flavor profile is unique. small spot with 2 small tables, so id say not good for groups. they have maybe 8 other sandwiches and various fries. add them to your order for $3. good service, friendly staff & clean place.

Messy but totally worth it. Ordered the Italian chicken sandwich with fries and it didn't disappoint. The sandwich was huge and delicious. My only complaint is the fries, I just wish they were a bit bigger and better to complement the sandwich. Took the order to go, service was quick and easy. Food truck converted to a walk in restaurant. Solid spot!

Okay! The prices are fair! So I like that. The place is small but it's in Jersey City so it's cute and I love that they were playing 90'a rap/hip hop! Service is quick, we only waited like 10 minutes for 2 Mexican cheesesteaks. The cheesesteaks had the look of a Mexican style cheesesteak. The meat had all of the flavor but that was the problem! The aji verde sauce wasn't noticeable and the pickled onions complimented the meat, but the placement was wrong or not enough. They added that sweetness I was looking for to go with the meat just a little bit. The needed lime and spice. The entire time I was eating a sandwich. It was good, but each bite felt like it was missing something. The sandwich is a 6.5 for me and I feel lime and spice would kick it up a few notches. The free fries that were given to us had a sweet meat which was good but the fries either need to be crinkle cut or cooked a little less. They were too hard for loaded fries.

No forks given is a hole in the wall burger find in the heart of Jersey city ! First time here, the owner was very friendly and quick to attend to us. We sat outdoors, and were served the food very promptly. Everything on the menu seemed and sounded delicious. The actual dishes surprisingly live up the expectations and rating. I really enjoyed my panko breaded spicy tofu burger, we also ordered the chicken burger and spicy fries. The slaw with the burger was so fresh and delicious and added to the flavor bomb. Overall really good first experience, and came out with happy full bellies. Will definitely come back here.

It's always nice to see a great food truck make the move to brick and mortar. No Forks Given is a pretty recent addition to Brunswick Street, expanding on their menu of fried chicken sandwiches and cheesesteaks from a tiny storefront. I did a Peruvian sandwich with tofu in place of the chicken: aji amarillo + aji verde + pickled onions + cilantro + scallions + spicy mayo on brioche, and a side of togarashi fries (thin fries covered with spicy mayo + togarashi spice + scallions + sesame seeds). The sandwich was a mess, in a good way: crispy without being overly greasy, with a nice bite from the sauce. The fries were under seasoned, but the togarashi made up for it

The sandwiches where really tasty. Nice and friendly service. Small place good to order/pickup. Owner was really nice. Asked us how was our meal. Good smooth music. Nice and clean. Came on a Sunday so good on parking.

Not sure how they are considered the best fried chicken sandwich. I got the Peruvian fried chicken sandwich . It came with two pieces of chicken that lacks a flavor. Looking at other photos, I certainly got two burnt pieces of chicken. If I had the sandwich without the chicken I would've said it was tasty.

I had them when I went to Corgi Spirits and it was great! Pros: - Convenient: I could order by text and get the food delivered to my seat in Corgi Spirits! - Cost: Great prices - Biodegradable containers! I love the environmental consciousness! - Delicious! I got the vegetarian option and usually vegetarian dishes are hard to make tasty but there's success here! - Honest, friendly service: The owner didn't want to charge me at first because he said it wasn't mentioned on the menu that the balls are served cold. He said if I liked it, I could pay on my way out. I thought that was crazy talk because his business is food and I received it so I should pay for it but still, the gesture was immensely appreciated. Cons: - It's Jersey City or roaming around somewhere not near me in Bergen County so I have less accessibility to it and can't eat it enough. If you find this truck, go eat at this truck. You won't be disappointed!

Since variety is the spice of life, feel free to mix and match: you won't be disappointed with anything offered. Well crafted standards (Italian style in red sauce, buffalo style with hot sauce and blue cheese) mingle with some bolder choices (jerk meatballs with mango and scotch bonnet, bahn mi balls with fresh jalapeno) and the Swedish style may be the best of the bunch, with brown gravy and a dill laced sour cream.

In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, I finally made my way to Angry Archie's. I'd seen them on my previous exploratory walks and possibly saw them with a food truck at a nearby park event. However, it was the fact that they sold lobster rolls, and frankly, the marketer in me loved the graphic logo! Would I be angry or happy with Archie for my first lobster roll experience in New Jersey!? PURCHASE Angry Lobster Roll ($22.00): A massive amount of Maine lobster meat mixed with a spicy corn mayo all stuffed into a toasted bun, this was sufficient to split with my friend. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and the buttery toasted bun was truly the icing on the cake. It was pricey, but dammit it was so good! I would love to try the heated version next! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=goUcQr5lYWSZGJbXYKHnzg Angry Crab Cake Sandwich ($17.00): A bulbous lump of crab meat mixed with spicy aioli, drizzled with citrus crema, while rested on a bed of crispy arugula, and placed between a buttery toasted bun, this was more crab-forward in flavor as the other elements didn't stand out as much. Possibly if they used the same mix from the lobster roll, the taste would be more enhanced? Again, the bread was outstanding; seriously, I'd buy the bread as a side! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=l-4TdG2hdYIq98cTDexPnA Full Portion Parmesan Truffle Fries ($9.00): A massive portion size of long thick spud sticks covered in parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, and truffle oil with a side of garlic truffle aioli for dipping, this was a blissful meal on its own! And, although we used the aioli, it really wasn't needed or seemed overkill at this point. We had leftovers which weren't as good, so eat it while it was fresh! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=uUhKPVY-0yYo0Uhavagcqg Double Cheese Mac N Cheese ($11.00): An absurd amount of tender pasta mixed with a four-cheese sauce, shaved parmesan, and herbed panko bread crumbs, this was one of the best mac n cheese dishes I've ever had! The cheese level was off-the-charts, and the panko was an ingenious idea. This was enough for two meals if you ate it on its own. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=idy1dMFN72rKV_12nlFuEg SERVICE I placed the takeaway order online, arrived about five minutes early, and soon after a friendly young man behind the counter came from the kitchen with everything wrapped up and ready to go - perfection! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 20-minute walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Palisade Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A simple layout https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=y5tIh_oEthczcPn2oM6SRg with a central order/pick-up counter that looked into the kitchen, a very legible menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=uo0dcsKpxRtaaKCYUf1RkA behind the counter, a dining bar with stools along the front window, a handful of tables, a hint of nautical decorations, and generally a really clean place. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front window and door while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=dI0QvZ2MaTIkFqGlAgh2iQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Angry Archie's was awesome, and I would definitely return to explore their menu even more! Hands down, the portion sizes were incredible, everything tasted amazing, the prices were very reasonable, and the service in our case was straightforward. And, I always loved supporting small businesses whenever possible. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $63.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...
