When situation explained they were more than happy to fall back on the expertise and experience of their technician. However, they were completely unprepared to believe anything that I told them. I will never use again due to their lack of ability to diagnose what should be an obvious problem & for the "service" i received in the process. Statement of events: Called with a service request for my Airwell split system of "cooling function of unit is not working. Please investigate and fix." Air Comfort action: re-gas machine Cost: $380 This call-out was requested at beginning of winter. Heating function was working before the call out. When it was warm enough to use air conditioning function (October, 4 months later) I found that air conditioner was still not working. Called them to ask for someone to come out and examine unit again as it is still not cooling. Cost $132 (apparently at cost for the call out) Was told that this was a thermostat issue & I should consider replacing the unit before spending more money on it. They did offer to put supply a Daiken unit & install it for $3300. Said I'd think about it .... A neighbour in my building mentioned a similar issue. I checked my unit - all of the fan blades in the external unit had sheared off. Found company that could provide replacement part & installed it myself Cost: $100 I would have thought this was a fairly obvious thing that should be checked by a service professional. Result: AirComfort has made around $500 for not resolving my issue. I fixed my own problem for $100 I asked for a refund to share cost of events - they were unwilling.
