Super nice staff- shout out Roumelia for the hospitality. Rooms and common areas were clean. Enjoyed the bar and pool table.

I thought I left this review a while back. Awful place which makes up prices as they go along especially on event days

The staff is lovely and as a pub they have an extra point with the food...because it's yummy! Last year they had a pop-up-summer-hog-pulled-pork-thing that was incredible! And this year I've been trying little bits from their menu....and specially enjoying the Sunday's one. I'm spanish, and their cod bites taste like proper Spanish buñuelos de bacalao!!!

There were quite a few real ales on when we were there, and a couple of craft beers on tap. They have a 5 star food hygiene rating on the door which is actually reassuring, it shows they obviously take food seriously and that management care about the place. We did go for the food and it was really good, I was surprised actually as they didn't seem to be making an effort to sell themselves on the quality of the food. We were there early evening and the place already had a buzz to it, they'd also had the Rubgy on earlier but was showing outside which was fantastic as you could then choose to go out and watch it or stay in and ignore it as you pleased. Probably the stand out point was the friendliness of the service, we were met by very enthusiastic bar staff who made the visit memorable - hopefully it's always this good here!

If you are a Spurs fan and want to booze it up and watch the Spurs win loose or draw in the company…read moreof other Spurs fans, there are plenty of pubs to choose from, but I think the Bill Nicholson must be the best. It is Tottenham themes from top to bottom, with the navy and white colour scheme, it is decorated with autographed shirts, boots, tickets, a mass of old programmes run the entire length of one wall and other Spurs memorabilia. I love it in here, any Spurs fan would. The place was actually once used as a changing room for the players, a long time ago, so it is a part of the clubs history. In fact, it has only recently been named the Bill Nicholson. Living in Tottenham has taken me past this place many times, but a few years ago it was revamped inside and out and was re-named in honour of the great Bill Nicholson. I have just been the once on match day, and it was a great atmosphere.

We actually ran into this place because it's upstairs to the Horniman Pub and I had been looking up places and pointed out that this place sounded funny. Our server was awesome. He was a skinny guy with braces and he probably thought we were alcoholics by how many drinks and pitchers we were ordering. He came to us at the end with a free pitcher !! I was so excited. As for the food, I enjoyed the appetizer more than my meal. We ordered the sampler with lamb meatballs, cut up sausages, and fried Brie. I was in love with the Brie and had to ask him again what it was called. I'm scared that I'll never have the chance to get fantastic fried Brie again, so this restaurant has a special in my heart. I ordered the sausages that came with mashed potatoes and Jerry ordered the rib eye steak. They were equally good! Jerry said he enjoyed my sausages more because his had some chewy fatty parts, but I'd think that's normal for steaks to have a bit of fats. Overall, I really enjoyed my night here. If you pick the right seating you can see the London's bridge OR you can have a wonderful view of downstairs Horiman bar, which can we very entertaining as it is beautiful. When we finished our meals I saw a couple mice running around on the floor. I was near drinking my last sip so I found it more entertaining than gross. Maybe that's something to keep in mind if you hate rodents. Cheers !

What is more, the position of the house is amazing. It is not far away from central London. And you can find tube station within 10 minutes by walking. Another good alternative is buses. There are more than 15 different buses near this house that will take you to wherever you want. The house is pretty and very clean. I was happy that I can use the kitchen free. The bathroom is always clean, because the host---James clean it every day. I am very happy with my experience in Woodville guesthouse. The host was very nice and with great hospitality. He cooks very well....to be honest I do miss his food......:-) My trip in London was perfect not only because of the view but also James and his guesthouse. To be honest with every one who will see my review, this guesthouse worth more than the price it charges. After all, highly recommend this place to every one and believe me it will become one of your best experiences in London......

The host rents out 3 rooms in his house, and you have full access to the kitchen and the bathroom. I really liked the arrangement because I could cook me own meals and save some money on eating out. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The host, James, was very helpful and considerate. He is also very knowledgeable of London, so make sure to ask him for sightseeing suggestions. He is also very smart and pleasant to talk to. Definitely talk to him about art :) The house is situated in Walthamstow, one of the London suburbs. It's a nice neighborhood, there is a huge street market working on High street, so you can get, for example, fruits or other food for cheap. There are also at least three large supermarkets on High street, some pubs and restaurants if you don't cook or prefer eating out. Despite the presence of tha market I didn't have any problems with security, even when I came back late at night. The streets are well lit, there are police patrols, so it indeed feels quite safe. Walthamstow central station is within a 15-minute walking distance. There's a Victoria line Tube station there as well as buses and trains (I've never used the latter). The Underground will take you to King's Cross in 25 minutes and to Victoria Station in 40. The trains go every 3-7 minutes, but, unfortunately, I've found the London Underground to be quite unreliable, e.g. the service is disrupted sometimes -- but that is the problem you will have to face if you're staying in the suburbs (and a lot of other hostels and rentals are situated in the suburbs too). The buses are more reliable but take more time to reach London. There are night buses that run all night and you can use them if you're coming back late (the underground closes at 11pm). Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Woodville Guesthouse. It's a really good alternative to staying at a hotel if you're traveling on a budget.
