Since I got the deal, I totally enjoyed it as the cost of my food was quite cheap for what we got. I ended up ordering the "Il Padrino (Romana style) - chicken, roasted tomatoes, chargrilled vegetables, tomato & pesto base." (Refer to the picture I posted!) I also ordered this on THIN CRUST. This made it extra delicious because it wasn't heavy. The vegetables were nice and roasted ... the one thing I would say about this pizza ... I couldn't taste the pesto. Soo, where was the pesto? Other than the fact that I couldn't taste the pesto, it was great. Service was a little slow, but it was fine. This place is very open, so the acoustics aren't so great. If you are looking for quiet and intimate, this is not your place. Although it's not a place where you are screaming, it can get loud.

I've tried to Pizza Hut and a few other random places and they were just not up to par. Thankfully, this place is just as delicious as the Papa John's back home! We ordered the extra large 1/2 original and 1/2 hawaiian with jalapeno poppers and buffalo wings. They are offering a special right now with your first online order receiving 33% off your pizza (sweet!). We got our meal in about 45 minutes (wait, not 30??) but it was hot and delicious. The buffalo wings are AMAZING spicy! Just like home! The next day we received a phone call from customer service. Apparently because the order in over 30 minutes we will receive a free side on our next order! Pretty nice deal! Will definitely enjoy this pizza place from now on.

It was my last night in Birmingham so I had to drink and got the black berry cider... It was good slightly bitter but gave me a nice little buzz. For dinner they have a section of great thin crust pizzas that are served with small salads for under 500 calories!!! I always chose this because the taste is wonderful and it's easy on my waistline. One other thing I have to mention... When you are here get the fresh dough balls....! My goodness they are good...! If you're like me you don't want to just buy pizza from any random takeaway place. It took me a while to access this place and actually go in. Now I'd say I'm a fan and I go to Golden Pizza when I'm in the area.

Recently though, the quorn has fallen by the wayside (quite likely I was the only person to ever order it?) and so now their pizzas are absolutely adequate, but nothing special for me - the meatless, cheeseless, fishless, eggless eater. What I WILL say for PQ is that their meal deals are crazy cheap (reg. pizza, reg. fries, can of drink - £4.50!) and they -do- make tasty pizzas. It's just that if you have funny eating habits like me, you'll be resigned to the usual mushroom, tomato, onion and pepper. Yawn.
