We recently hired No 1 Home Roof. Our biggest issue was with their financing. There were technical issues on their end so we had to restart the process multiple times. After a lot of back and fourth when the loan was processed our loan the monthly payment was $200 more then originally quoted. We communicated this to The roofing company and they told us "it's a third party lender and has nothing to do with them". I found this annoying because this was the financing bank they use and recommended. If you choose use No 1 Home Roofing go I would NOT use their financing. read more

Very disappointed in the work. Ridge vent cuts were horrible. Not sure if they expected the homeowner to go into the attic to look. Looks as if they just poked holes with a hammer. Ridge vent openings are covered over with roofing paper. Basically, we have no ridge vent circulation for the whole 70 linear feet we paid for. Trim wood repairs were less than amateur. It's not every day you buy a new roof. Can't say we're happy we choose them. read more

If I could give them a zero, I would. Stay far away from this company. They are incredibly nice and responsive until the job starts or you have an issue. Then it's crickets. Their crew is messy and do not care about cleanup or how things look as long as the job is "done". I'm using the word done loosely. They didn't finish or fixed what they committed to. Still cleaning up my yard because of their complete lack of knowledge on how you leave a customers home when you are done. Complete waste of my time and money. If I could go back, I would have told the guy who quoted the roof for us to shove it. So disappointed and disgusted with this company. read more

Very disappointed with the work and service of this company. The roof leaked right after it was put on and they left a bottle in one of the roof vents and is still there. The leaks did damage to the ceiling in our den and they said they would repair the drywall damage and never did. They came out 3 times to fix the leak and never did fix it. The flashing was not done properly and the vinyl siding they removed to do it was put back on all wrong and never put back on properly. We had to do it ourself. I was a GC at one time and this was the worse job I ever seen. Not to mention they took months to show up to do the job after we contracted them to do so. read more

I used this company early Nov.2020. The roofer did not cover the roof when storm came. The whole ceiling was soaked. They promise to fix it. Four weeks later, calls after calls, they eventually: There was leaking in the roof...You need to do all the fix. What a shitting company. The team installed the roof and as far as the roof goes the quality is fine. The issue is that you can not get a return call for issues. We had a dryer that needed to be replaced and when we were scheduling a cleaning of the vent duct that runs through the roof, we noticed that they had damaged the vent duct and that dryer lint was blowing into our attic (fire hazard). We had to clean up the build up of lint and when we got to the roof vent the contractor installed a mesh vent that is not acceptable per code. This was causing the vent to blow in the attic. I called three times in Dec, sent an email and provided photo texts to the No1 representative. I have still not received a call back to repair and they have not provided any response. I keep being told that the owner will respond and have had nothing but radio silence for the past month. If we wouldn't have lost the dryer(which could be caused by the clogged vent release) we never would have known there was an issue. The roof work was completed and the actual craftsmanship is not the reason for the negative review. The issue is that they damaged something, installed the wrong vent cap, and refuse to call back to handle their damage. read more

No 1 Roofing did a poor job on my roof. I had the roof replace in May 2016. It took them three days to finish what looked like a good job. They called me and said the final Inspection was done and to come in and make the final payment. As it turned out the final Inspection was not completed. It took two additional weeks for No1 to schedule with the building inspector to get the final completed. Then after a month when It rained I had my first of several leaks in the roof. The first leak was right on top of my classic car. I also had a leak at my skylight, and one in the living room. Also they did such a quick job they didnt replace any fascia and I had one spot that had dry rot. I dont recommend using No. 1 Roofing!! read more

This experience did not end well. they replaced our entire roof and since then, It has leaked around our chimney non stop. They have been out a few times to put some more black tar on it but it does not seen to help. It has caused our ceiling to fall down. We put in an insurance claim with our company after we found out that the roofing contractor carries no insurance. We later found out the supplier put a lien on our house for unpaid materials that was sent to our house. We have a receipt from our credit card that the roof was paid in full. We now have to have this removed from our home. We can not stress how important it is and check out the contractor fully. We were enticed by the low price we were given. I'm not even sure the workers that showed up were full time employes, they arrived in their own personal cars. We believe they were subcontractors. We called No. 1 Home Roofing Inc. and Buster Simon, the Vice President, came out to do our estimate. He showed up 15 min early and was professional. We were impressed and contracted with him to do our roof repair. He assured us that it would be done on either Thursday or Friday. Well, there were no calls from Buster and no one showed. My husband and I work full time and we rearranged our schedules to be sure to be available. At 4pm, on Friday, I called Buster, he kept telling me to hold a minute while he put the phone down and I could hear him asking his guys if someone might be able to do the repair tomorrow or another day, then he tells me that he didn't order the tiles to replace the broken ones. Very unprofessional. I told him that we were available for the dates scheduled and no one showed or called and that we won't need his services. If he can't be responsible to show up for a job, then I can only imagine what kind of job his crew might do, when they do finally show up. Save yourself a waste of time and call a responsible roofing company. read more

In April 2018 A rental property of mine had a roof leak that was leaking into the kitchen. My property management company got an estimate from No 1 roofing. The estimate was $2,300 to repair a tile roof. I thought it was high, but decided to have them fix them roof. Now forward to Nov 2018, come to find out now we have another in the kitchen about 5 feet away from the previous. My property management company contact No 1 roofing to come out and inspect the area. Then they gave me an estimate of $2,700 to do another repair. I contacted No 1 roofing to get an explanation, and all of a sudden they went ghost. I never got a call back. after contacting actual reputable roofing companies, come to find out pricing for tile repair ranges from $60-$100 per square foot, which would mean they would of had to do at least 20 square foot area of new underlayment and TU. This would of covered the entire Kitchen and Living room. Plus was informed after inspection No 1 roofing work was poor at best. I informed the property management company to Never use this company again, and would question their use of them on other properties. BEWARE!!! read more

We purchased our house in the summer. They told us they were three weeks out due to the work schedule and the weather. We placed our order for the new roof. We would have to call them each week to find out where we were in the rotation.Many weeks went by. Better customer service had they called us! The roof job was adequate but the clean up was awful! They left a pile of garbage and assorted debris at the edge of the roof right above our car for well over 24 hours. There was also another pile in front of our garage door. When they finished the roof and left, the county inspector came within the same hour. Right at that time we received their final invoice and a threatening lien notice all at once. We did not have a chance to get to the bank before they closed that day but went first thing in the morning. We went to their office and paid cash so as to get the discount. They forgot to include the discount. We reminded them. We voiced all our concerns and Alicia did take notes to her credit. Bottom line customer service was not good. The inch long roof staples and other paper garbage, we picked it all up! The inside of our garage and our laundry area was loaded with roof dust and particles an inch thick. Lots of shop vac.action.and extra cleanup. The best we can say is the roof seems to be holding up with no leaks. So far so good. Thanks. read more

I've had No.1 Home Roofing install new roofs on 2 homes, both experiences were great, starting with the estimate (the most competitively priced out of 5 contractors), the only contractor out of 5 that left the shingle color brochures, a pamphlet detailing all of the products that were going to be used and their insurance certificate. They contacted me a day before they arrived to assure the driveway would be available for the dumpster,work trailer etc. The day they replaced the roof the delivery of the new shingle was coordinated precisely after the old roof was removed, re-nailed and secondary water barrier installed so that the workers could seamlessly continue their installation. Through the years I have seen other homes in my neighborhood where the contractor removed the old roof then stacked the new shingle and disappeared for a week or so before final install. I personally have had 2 great experiences with No.1 Home Roofing and will definitely recommend them to friends and family. Thanks again No.1 Home Roofing!!!! read more

Beware, This company has some shady practices as to replacing wood up charging without proving the wood they are actually removing is in deed rotted. Also, replacing without prior notice to the customer that they ran into an issue. I was shocked to see my invoice that was suppose to be $8,745.00 turn into $10,400.00 without any contact about the additional wood replacement. I was home and available the whole day and it wasn't until the job was completed the crew foreman mentions had to replace 100's of dollars of wood! With broken English I assumed he was talking about the $110.00 of wood that was included in my contract price, but yet confused when he stated "didn't the office call me!" Not once did this company knock on my door or call me to inform me of extra charges for wood replacement. I received photos of replaced wood on my roof, but not one photo of the rotted wood prior! They get you to sign a contract showing the pricing of the wood and the statement under your signature which states they will replace rotted wood with or without the presence of the homeowner to compete the dry-in process! But it also states in their contract Any necessary materials (wood etc.) needed to be replaced per contract will be done with consideration to homeowner notification but will be completed as scheduled. They did not notify me, and I am not the only one! After going around with this company about my issues with them not showing me any proof of the damaged wood they keep referring me back to their contract ... You signed the contract we have to replace the wood with or without notice to complete the contract! I'm not an attorney but since when does a company not have to show proof that what they had to replace was indeed needed! Another thing to note, a piece of wood that they obviously removed from my roof blew off a couple days after the job, and it was not rotted! They obviously removed it the nails and felt still was attached. Also, after studying the photos they sent showing wood replacement only. I did catch a photo of an area with some wood replacement already done which also showed an area that was not replaced yet which looked good, but in another photo they ended up replacing a lot of wood in that same area that didn't show any rotted wood! Buyer beware! I am not the only person that they failed to contact and show the damaged wood after replacing $900.00 on another customers roof. I found this after digging though Angie's list. I also found others with leaking issues. They look good on BBB, but beware! Another thing to note, I had a complete roof replaced in 2005. The only reason I was getting the new roof was due to singles blowing off during the hurricane. It was tarped and not rainy season. After explaining this to No1 Home Roofing, not understanding how so much wood got rotted after being replaced in 2005. I was told by this company if there isn't enough ventilation it can cause the wood to go bad! Then why didn't they put any additional ventilation up? Or at least address that issue? Hmmm read more
