After "interviewing" Sunfire, and other contractors, I selected Sunfire for my project based in part on their positive customer reviews and pricing. Another important factor in my decision was the knowledge, hands on experience, and professionalism of Thomas Kemp. Thomas worked with me to develop a projection of monthly and annual electric use with the recent addition of two plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and a hot tub; demands not reflected in historical use data. And then Thomas worked with me on a "bundle" of home energy improvements that included replacement of the electrical service panel, purchase and installation of two high-efficiency mini-split heat pumps, and a 6.4 kw solar PV array. The bundled price was very competitive relative to quotes from other contractors. Soon after an agreement was signed Sunfire went to work on the service panel replacement and then the mini-split heat pump installation. Of note is that I was allowed to specify the brand and models of the heat pumps. Installation of the PV array was the final step and was delayed approximately two months while approval processes and permitting were completed by the electric utility and the City of Albuquerque. The array was energized two weeks ago and to date it has performed exactly as projected in terms of peak output and daily yield. Based on what I see so far I'm confident the annual projected yield will be realized and will meet 95-100% of our household electrical use, including that of the two PHEVs. And finally, all of the individuals I interacted with through the duration of the project were responsive, easy-going, and professional. This included the assigned project manager, other office personnel, the electrician, HVAC guy, and others involved in the installation of the PV array. Overall I had a great experience with Sunfire Solar and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Victor Saenz does an excellent job of communicating and staying in touch with clients. All estimates and work start on time as promised. The work was done quicker than I expected. The work and materials appear to be excellent quality. I hired Victory Construction to replace a roof, turbine, and repair a water damaged ceiling. Apparently they do a little of everything. The roof appears to be better than what it was when it was new. The ceiling was expertly repaired and one can't tell the ceiling was ever repaired. The ceiling came out better than what the way I was told it would come out. I work graveyards so I sleep during the day. The crew was very respectful of the fact that I am a day sleeper and they didn't make any unnecessary noise. They also took measures to protect my property. They covered anything they worked near to avoid damage I would highly recommend using Victory Construction, and I plan on using them again in the future.

Stucco work around the windows was very uneven and messy. Stucco was slopped onto our brand new windows and screens, our cement patio and our patio chairs. After I cleaned up their mess from the stucco work, the next working day they spilled paint once again onto our new windows and screens. I asked that they use drop clothes and plastic to protect where they worked, but they ignored this request. Every day the workers left their lunch trash on site. They never cleaned up after work each day. After alerting the company that their workers were not very good, it took over two months for the supervisors to inspect the work. Victor agreed that the work was not professional. At least he had the courtesy of not charging us the final payment because the work was so bad!

No one likes to be left hanging especially when you're told there is an issue with how the gas line on your water heater was connected.

The only thing I was asking from your team was if you'd be willing to work with me on the price (because I worked my quote to the client based on Brittany's quote). If you are not able to lower your price, that is completely understandable - we all have to make money, and you're not running a charity. But there is a proper way to communicate with someone.
