After walking around in the heat all day it was just not what we were looking for. We did stay for a drink. He had a decent old fashioned, though pretty tiny for the price. I had a beer, and it was what would be expected. The one thing that really stood out was the server. She was nice, pleasant, and very quick. I'd maybe go back if I was in the right mood, but that day was certainly not the day for me.

We went to the Phillies game prior to the game we stopped for dinner I've been here several times with my family, very welcoming to my children, this place has homemade pasta dishes orders are very large, eggplant rotini hands down the best I've tasted, I'd put this dish versus any restaurant in Philly, my kids had the fresh homemade burgers witch are out of this world they come with homemade chips or you can up charge for the homemade fries, can't go wrong with either, it was a beautiful day so we decided to sit outside, the scenery is like no other, it doesn't have the hustle and bustle of a city, you see grass and trees it's very peaceful, the server Michelle was great attended to our every need, she check on us every 15-20 mins, she made probably 1 of the best espresso martini I've ever had, we met this gentleman Frank I think he was the owner he was very helpful, he gave my kids change to get candy from the candy machine, Nittys is a great spot very friendly I would recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind have a few drinks, Thank you we will be back read more

That honestly wasn't the case everywhere I went - the bartender was nice, and a customer actually walked up to me on his way out to pay his respects (though mostly for the recently anointed NBA champs, the Knicks). Very classy. At the end of the day, I had a drink here and it wasn't very good. I ordered an Old Fashioned, which is a risk at a place that isn't a bougie mixology-type bar (and this isn't that), but they WERE explicitly advertising this cocktail on their board above the bar. It was a massive overpour, which you can probably tell from the accompanying picture. I barely detected any bitters, and maybe he thought it was an appropriate amount because he loaded the glass down with ice, but there was easily six or seven ounces instead of the standard two or so. Result? Basically gasoline. I strategically waited for some of the ice to melt to assist here, which helped a little. Also, he basically mulled an orange slice into the bottom of the drink so I accidentally sucked up some pulp/seeds once or twice. Honestly mystifying on a couple of different levels. Given that I was in a hipster Philly neighborhood, the price point was a little high. I think it was about $15, and should have been closer to $12 or $13, especially given the quality and time of day, but it is what it is. As several others mentioned, it's a cash only bar (a rare breed these days). The bartender seemed a little surprised I had the cash to begin with in my wallet, which makes me think they really rely on the processing fees for the on-site ATM, but I'd stock up on the bills beforehand if this is a pre-planned trip. I really have to stop ordering Old Fashioneds at regular bars.
