We love i9 sports and our son's tball team!…read more After trying soccer and swimming, my son expressed interest in tball. We found i9 sports online and decided to give them a try. He is in the 3-year old tball. He has two coaches who are the same every week and work well with the kids. They are patient and firm and give all the kids a fair shot! Practice is the first 20 ish minutes of our Saturday mornings, followed by a "game" where my son's team plays another team of the same age range. It's so cute and fun to watch the kids learning, as many of them don't really know what they are doing yet. But the parents are there to help out the coaches too. The families on our team are really great and supportive of all the kids on the team, often cheering for them! We also take turns providing snacks, which the kids look forward to every week. We have just a few weeks left and I know we'll miss it when it's over. Maybe we will sign up again!

Horrible experience. Basketball league is extremely biased, inexperienced referees and biased…read morestaff. Inconsistent rules of the game DO NOT make a great learning experience for the kids nor an enjoyable season for the parents. Teams are blatantly uneven in number and skill. Some teams are favored more so than others and enjoy 'perks' regardless of what they claim. For example, in the last season played at Hongwanji Mission, our team won fair and square. Trophy game. The opposing team received trophies as well AND special treatment- poster team pictures. When our team was in that situation the season prior, we got none of that. Not even a pin. Hmmmmmm. But wait there's more. More teams have leverage- favoritism, unfair calls, more baskets on the line.... The list is endless. This organization TAKES YOUR MONEY. It is not worth it. Regrettable experience. Take your money elsewhere. i9 is not worth investing in.

Through just one session my child has learned so much. They bring out the best in your child through explanation, positivity and respect. My quiet, not so confident teen looks forward to each clinic and has grown so much from his experience here. I would highly recommend this gym to any parent or athlete who is interested in volleyball.

In addition to i9 Sports, Police Activities League, and many other groups offering basketball play during a specified season, there were also weekly basketball clinics where we could just drop in. One such clinic is run by 808 Basketball Club held at Roosevelt High School gym on Sundays. The year round clinic teaches fundamentals and is for boys and girls from preschool through high school. The participation fee is $8, but discounted to $5 if you purchase and wear an 808 Basketball Club t-shirt. Each player needs to bring a basketball. I could tell my son was nervous, but he did his best to follow the coaches and other players. Afterwards, he told me he really liked it and wanted to return so thank you to 808 Basketball Club!

The instructors taught a variety of moves, the kids don't get bored. The instructors are helpful and everyone who attends is encouraging. Kids would demo moves and everyone would cheer them on after their demo! I liked being able to sit and watch and get some good pics in! I like how they group the kids by age and how the kids get some free time to shoot hoops. For $8 and an hour and a half you really can't go wrong! Bring money for ono snacks after!

The University of Hawaii has produced many outstanding athletes and provided local residents with hours of entertainment! I was more up to date on volleyball when the coach was Mike Wilton. Those were crazy, fun times when fans would be dancing in the aisles, doing the Wave, holding up signs for their favorite players, bringing lei and goodies for the teams, and playing creative half-time games! The players who stood out the most for me were Aaron Wilton (son of the Coach), Jason Ring, and Yuval Katz, Sivan Leoni, and Naveh Milo (the three Israelis). Those players and a few other guys were so popular that they had to hide in laundry carts to leave the arena! They were Rock Stars! The Stan Sheriff Center would be sold out and the parking lot would be full! I don't know why the hype died down. I haven't been to a game in a long time until this season. My cousin's son, Kupono Fey, is a senior this year. I've been to the first two games of the year - he and the team have not disappointed. As an outside hitter, Kupono has set, dug, served, killed, and blocked so well! The teenie boppers have started to come out again, so this should be an exciting year for the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors! Keep your eyes on Larry (a transfer from USC), 6'8" Stijn, Joe (#1), and Senior Setter, Jennings! Congratulations on winning the 2017 Outrigger Invitational Tournament! Hana hou!

It almost takes up half of the community area. The kids really enjoyed it and surrounding the north side of the pool are lounge chairs. There is a shower between the restroom entrances to wash off the pool chlorine. Security was visible the whole time. Well two guys wearing security labeled tee shirts and taking out the bagged trash people left after cleaning up. I think they are there to enforce the rules and make sure things don't get out of hand. Overall four stars. Great parking and reasonable seating. Not quite five due to long reservation time. and looking for someone to sponsor you in. Great place to celebrate with a small crowd or family. Now to get my feet wet. M

My co-worker invited me to join this league which I paid $70 (early registration per person - it can be $80/person) for Fall 2017 coed volleyball. In Spring 2018 coed volleyball was $800/team for early registration. We had close to 9 people or so which everyone was okay paying. $87/person. Created our own team after we made friends with people and recruited more. Based on only knowing my coworker, they randomly put together my team of 13 people. Through this process, you can make friends from your team as well as from the other teams. I don't know how they decide placement of people, but I actually made friends (at least 7 people) with two opposing teams when we go to the bars after the games. Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 coed volleyball was sponsor by Champs (Sports bar) and Rock Bottom with other beer company (Pacifico and Corona) as these places give us discounts on those beers. I like Champs (Sports bar better) since they have more games and really good food. They always alternate each week of where the post-games are at. The regular season each in fall and spring had two "themes" and my team chose Power Rangers for "hero week" and "America" for "team week" A great way for people to be creative with their "theme" custome. Some teams will dress up prior to match and play in uniform or gym clothes We all got a shirt and each team is represented by a color of the same shirt. Wear your shirts if you want to get the sportsmanship score. It can be used as a tie breaker They allow selfies and the winner gets a $100 tab at a bar based on most people in the selfie, which my team only had maybe 4-5 at one bar and the rest is just 2 (my coworker and me), which we sometimes do selfies or photos with other teams. I wouldn't mind joining other sports this league offers such as: kickball, flag football and dodgeball. 2017 is their 10-year anniversary which our shirt from volleyball mentions. 2018 they went back to the style they used in past of what sport you're playing and what season and year on it. At least this league has some friendly people and some competitive, but it's mostly about having fun and meeting new people and socializing. They have playoffs which half the teams qualify for and if you win, money is donated to a local charity that the winner decides.

KICKBALL. There's a…read moreleague for this?!? For serious. The 2012 season will mark my 5th year playing in this league, and it's just gotten better as the years have rolled on. And after all those years, talking about 808 Sports Leagues and the kickball (and other sports) leagues they put together has never gotten old, especially trying to explain to tripped-out bar-goers on a Monday or Wednesday evening in Varsity or Rock Bottom why there are over 100 people walking around in off-beat, fluorescent or downright bright shirts ... Stranger/Future Kickballer: "So ... kickball?" Me: Yes! There's a league. And I'm on a team. S/FK: "I haven't played kickball since elementary school!" M: .... (Don't worry, we know every one hasn't. :) ) S/FK: (looks out over the sea of forest green, "WOW" pink and KOC blue shirts, among the many colors) "So, how many people are playing in this league?" M: Well, there's 24 teams, about 15-20 people per team, so you're looking at about 400+ adults playing kickball weekly. S/FK: "That's a lot of people. So, you guys have rules and everything? The red rubber ball?" M: Yup. Pretty much the same as schoolyard rules, except no one gets picked last, nah mean? And we even got playoffs and championships! S/FK: (looks around at the bar again, tries counting how many different color shirts) "So, you guys play, and then come out to the bar?" M: Yeah - it's all part of the experience. 20, 30, 40-somethings playing kickball, then chilling out at the bar. S/FK: "I'm sold. Where do I sign up?" ... Unfortunately, by the time we hit the bar in our red/green/blue/pink/orange/yellow/safety green shirts, rosters are closed for the season and you gotta wait to sign up for the next one. Sound fun yet? NO?! Well, read Justin U.'s review. "Great way to meet new people" is like the unofficial motto. Hey - relationships have been started and blossomed over the game of kickball - when's the last time that happened at a pick-up game of basketball? Kickball season runs from March to June, with sign-ups in January-February - don't be *THAT* guy that sees all the 808 Sports Leagues bright shirts and wants in after the ruckus starts! (And if you happen to miss it, there's usually a Fall season of some sport - Flag Football, another Kickball season or .... dodgeball?) SEE YOU OUT ON THAT KICKBALL FIELD!
