The new Nissan Stadium in Nashville is a 2.1-million-square-foot, 60,000-seat enclosed venue under construction on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, scheduled for completion in February 2027. It will feature a translucent roof, 360-degree concourses, and 38% closer seating to the field, designed to host NFL, college football, concerts, and major events like the Super Bowl. Gayle and I had the chance to watch all the construction up close as we navigated from the pedestrian bridge to the Edgefield neighborhood. That included a non-ADA compliant walk-around to get to the bridge over the Interstate. This was a huge operation and we got as close as we could without trespassing. Then there's the present Nissan Stadium that will be torn down (for a parking lot) after the new Stadium is finished. This is the home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans, formally the Houston Oilers. Opened in 1999, this 67,000+ capacity open-air venue hosts football games, concerts, and major events like the CMA Music Festival. Here for Coldplay concert which was absolutely phenomenal. This was our first time at the stadium and have to give some kudos. Though the outside of the stadium is undergoing construction, the ease in entering and exiting wasn't so bad. We walked from the Holiday Inn Express and followed the signs (and the crowd) to the entrance line. Since we had General Admission tickets (the pit) we followed the signs to the line we were to wait in. The line was organized and monitored well. There was a stadium guy selling water while we waited. There are many text messages and emails in the days leading up to the concert, reminding you to make sure you have your QR code downloaded and ready to show at the gate. The will call window is open and would help with this if needed. Once the doors opened, the line moved rapidly and we were soon inside the stadium. There was a bathroom close, as well as appropriately priced food, and a short line to buy Coldplay merch. Coldplay was absolutely phenomenal. First time attending here, can use some improvements as others have also mentioned. Know which gate grants access to your section as they are particular in that respect and I nearly walked around the stadium for the proper access. Long switch back ramps with limited elevators to get to upper levels. Not a bad seat for viewing in the house and the footbridge to walk over from downtown makes it easy to enjoy food, drink, music either before after or both once the event is over. read more

I had the opportunity to be in Nashville when there was a home game. I bought my tickets the morning of and attended the game. The seat that I was at was for $33 but I also had a $10 off coupon so my seat only costed me $22. I was easily able to walk to the stadium. It was also kind of nice to be able to check out as I had learned and seen that they are building a brand new stadium right next-door. So this stadium will be demolished once that stadium is complete. As of now I'm not too sure what they will place there. I asked locals and they mentioned that it might turn into apartment complex complexes. They're hoping that it will be some form of parking instead, but most likely it will not. read more

It was SO HOT the day we went to the game, it wasn't easy to find a place to watch the game in the stadium outside of the seat. They tell you not to stand a lot of places. Security walking in was standard, we didn't bring any bags or anything so it went smooth, not sure if they even allow bags? This stadium is definitely due for improvements. It is difficult to get up to the higher levels, the elevators are limited and have crazy lines, and the ramps are so long and steep. Also, the upper levels are not connected all the way around, which I found out the hard way when I walked up the ramp all the way to level 3, before needing to go back down to level 1 to go back up on the other side. As we walked towards gate 8, they had signs that mentioned their security system is next-level Evolv Technology, so you don't have to remove any items from the clear bag and pockets. We walked through the metal detectors, and it was as if we had been selected for the extra security check that TSA agents perform at airports. At this point, my dad was doing great until the initial security guard kept telling him that his pockets weren't empty. Her facial expression appeared mad and irritated towards him. He pulls out the lining of his pants and jacket pockets. He says, "I don't have anything else." At this juncture, Dad is looking at me to resolve the dispute. I couldn't understand the initial female security guard. She barely moved her lips while talking, which made for a horrible lip read. I can't read gums and teeth. So, I signed Deaf and motioned two other security guards to come over. I signed and spoke. I said, "I'm Deaf but lip-read. I'm having issues understanding what is being asked of us since we have emptied our pockets. Plus, my dad has dementia and can get confused very easily. What do we need to do because this is going downhill quickly?" Both security guards worked with us and were kind and considerate. The male security guard even retrieved the two Tupperware containers with our wallets, coins, and other items that the initial guard still held at the table. My only regret is that I didn't get photos and names of the two security guards who helped us. Typically, I take a lot of photos, but I didn't want to hang out further at the gate. Next, Nissan Stadium offers no closed captions. I've been to other older stadiums that have been upgraded with ribbon boards that offer public announcements, and to think, this is an NFL stadium. For handicapped parking, you must have an additional prepaid pass issued by Nissan Stadium and your state-approved placard or plate. Their policy reads, "For accessible parking at non-Titans events: You must display a Nissan Stadium-issued parking pass, along with your ADA placard or license plate." Of course, I was unaware of this requirement because it was my first trip to this stadium; therefore, we were turned away, but they told us that I could drop off. Negative, I'm driving, and I'm the one needing the parking spot. Security directed us to turn left to leave the area and go under a bridge about half a mile away for parking at $40.00. This was bloody absurd. We've been to over twenty-three stadiums; even the oldest stadium in the league, Lambeau Field, didn't have this crazy requirement. So, that's my excuse for not looking up parking requirements. The stadium offers various types of food for fans, including two massive jumbotrons. The only complaint is the lack of locations where fans can stand, have a table stand to lean on and have a view of the game while eating and drinking. Finally, the staff kept the grounds and restrooms clean. I've witnessed some filthy stadiums, but Nissan Stadium wasn't one of them. As a side note, if you want to hit the restaurant and bar seen for a while and eventually walk across the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, park in the lot at 123 7th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37203, and follow the instructions using the QR. Currently, the charge is $3.50 for fifteen minutes and a max day charge of fifty dollars. Your credit card will be charged once you exit the lot. read more

I'm a Packers fan, and my brother is a lifelong Titans fan, and we finally made the trip out to Tennessee to watch a game there after going to a Titans-Packers game at Lambeau a couple years ago. It's really easy to see why they're building a new stadium. A lot of the facilities felt outdated and not nearly as streamlined as you'll see in newer stadiums like in SoFi or Allegiant. That said, as long as you don't mind spending sometime in Nashville, getting in and out of this stadium is pretty nice when it's not super hot out. The walk over the bridge is cool, and we had a nice time (the Packers whupped on the Titans, so that's probably why I had a very positive experience). Drinks cost about what you expect and as for food, I got a couple hot dogs that were both pretty good but they're not something you wanna flock your way to the stadium for. read more

As a Nashvillian for over a decade, Nissan Stadium holds a lot of nostalgia for me from Titans games and concerts to my college alumni group's tailgate a few years back. Most recently, I came for The Weeknd 2025 Stadium Tour, and as always, there's a great view no matter where you sit, even up in the 300s. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, and the fireworks and vendor offerings make events here extra special. Getting in and out can be a bit chaotic, but that's to be expected with big crowds. My only wish? Air-conditioned bathrooms! This was my first time in Nissan Stadium. Also my first time seeing the Tennessee Titans play. For a big venue, they do a really good job at getting people in and out efficiently. The parking nearby is limited and sells out. We bought tickets last minute and Übered. There's plenty of vending although halftime briefly overwhelmed the concessions. This is a modern football stadium so even the third tier seats aren't too far from the field. On a side note, my daughter says, the Bavarian soft pretzel with cheese is the best stadium snack she's eaten. read more

Was in town for the George Strait, Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town concert. We went to the Saturday night show 7/29/23. Since we stayed at the Omni Hotel, we walked over the Pedestrian bridge to arrive at the concert. They were predicting rain later in the evening and the skies looked a little threatening as we were walking concert bound. After we arrived and entered the stadium, things were hectic and very disorganized. Apparently there was lightning so they wouldn't let anyone out onto the arena! People everywhere! We decided to get in line for merch while we were waiting and people were constantly cutting in line, trying to get through, etc. Total chaos! Finally people started to go into the venue so we could at least breathe a little bit but it was hot and sticky. Our line finally made its way up to a fan, which when we felt the breeze it was glorious! The signs on the walls said there was a lightning warning. We never heard or saw any Nissan Stadium staff. After we bought our T-shirts we headed to our seats on the main floor about mid-way down from the stage. We caught a little bit of Little Big Town. Then Chris Stapleton came on and he was great! The big screens they had on either side of the stage did a great job of projecting the musicians. The sound was good too. Chris Stapleton finished up and then it was time for George. The rain had held off so far. A few sprinkles started while George was singing "The Fireman". But then it stopped and he got a few more songs in. George and Chris sang "Pancho and Lefty" together which was awesome! Then George announced that they were going to have to cut the concert short due to a lightning storm that was coming in. He sang "Amarillo By Morning" and everyone was headed into the concourse area, where everyone had been before the concert started. By this time, it was pouring rain and everyone tried to get under the covered area. The staff wouldn't let anyone leave due to the lightning and we weren't planning on it anyway. Finally after an hour we were allowed to leave. Huge amounts of people walked up the stairs to get on the pedestrian bridge to cross over the Cumberland River and back to downtown Nashville. I think the Nissan Stadium could benefit from a better emergency evacuation plan. It seemed that the staff that we did see didn't know what to do. We were barely under the covered area near where all the concession workers were gathered. They were all making themselves rain ponchos out of their trash bags. At least the concert goers remained calm for the most part. Disappointed that we only got to enjoy George for an hour (at the Friday show he played for 2 1/2 hours). read more

We visited the Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest for their Sunday night concert. With all the construction going on, we knew that parking would be crazy so we took an Uber downtown and walked across the pedestrian bridge. The walk really wasn't bad and it was a beautiful night to catch a fantastic view from the bridge. Getting into the stadium was easy. The lines weren't bad for concessions, but of course the prices were crazy. Drinks were about $20 each. They had a really great setup for the concert and the stage was raised so high that everyone had a good view. I know there were complaints about the sound other nights of the festival, but it sounded perfectly fine the night we were there. Hope to be back someday. read more

I attended the Titans vs Broncos game sometime back. This is a great stadium mainly due to there not being a bad seat in the house. You really can't go wrong no matter where your seats are located. As you can see my seats were close and we had a great view. I really enjoyed the walk over to the stadium. The bridge is beautiful and the view is amazing! This is a nice stadium. We were thankful to have a couple of the only covered seats as well as rain gear. The merch tables were well laid out and moving swiftly. ;) When they make announcements about evacuations, which are apparently a possibility because of rain and/or lightning, it would be great if they made them loud enough to be heard properly over the crowd. Seats are wisely plastic. At the end of the night, expect it to take a good amount of time to walk back across the pedestrian bridge. Since my MLB tour is on hiatus I decided to check out some NFL stadiums. I purchased my Tennessee Titans game day tickets on ticket master. They were resell verified tickets. I noticed the prices dropped substantially the night before the game. Probably would have dropped more on the day off but I didn't want to wait. I decided to splurge and get the 50 yard line seats on the vistor side. I also prepaid for parking that was walking distance to the stadium. Getting into the stadium was easy and fast. Be sure to read over the bag policy. I notice every stadium is different. I carried a very small bag that wasn't clear. It was listed as an approved bag on their website. I was thrilled to find gluten free choices in the scan and pay kiosk. Unfortunately my vegetables were rotten and my wrap was soggy. Probably would have asked to get a replacement but it was so crowded . I also got the $11 refillable bucket of popcorn but it was so salty and stale I didn't get a refill. Through the years I've been to countless sporting events at many different venues. If I had to rank all the venues I've ever been to, Nissan Stadium would be near the bottom of the list. On December 30, 2021, my wife and I were among the many Purdue fans that invaded Nashville to watch our beloved Boilermakers defeat the Tennessee Volunteers in the Music City Bowl. In what might go down as one of the most exciting bowl games ever, Purdue won 48-45 in overtime! Purdue was the better team on this day, but our enjoyment was hampered by the poor design of this stadium. The lines for food, beverages, and restrooms, all blended together and made for confusion as well as terrible congestion throughout the stadium. I've never seen anything like it. I've also never seen longer lines for the men's room at any stadium in my whole life. Most stadiums I've been to have some unique trait which gives them personality and an identity. This stadium has no personality. It is very generic. The stadium isn't without some redeeming qualities. It offers a beautiful view of downtown Nashville. Another plus is it's location. It is situated on the banks of the Cumberland River and is a pleasant walk to the honky tonks on Broadway... which is a definite benefit if you want to go celebrate after an epic victory! read more

Recently attended my first game at Nissan stadium in December 6th 2020. Made the trip from Louisville to watch my then 8-3 Cleveland browns take on the then 8-3 Tennessee Titans. In the past I've been to the stadium and walked around it. But this was my first time in the actual stadium. Very spacious. Plenty of bathrooms and food options on the concourses. We was in section 317 row FF which is pretty far up there but honestly still had a great view. So the "not a bad seat in the house" saying may be relevant here. The game atmosphere itself was really good considering the covid precautions. The seats you could not sit in was wrapped up. They did seemed a little cramped for Elbow room but unlike other big stadiums you did have a ton of leg room and a cup holder for each seat. The sound/pa system was really loud and clear and they had decent video boards. Was my first titans game and it's always interesting to see other teams traditions. The 12th titans of a game pushes down a sword and shoots of fireworks. They chose Dolly Parton for this game but she was unable to attend so they did a video board of her saying "titan up" and had Sarah fuller (Vanderbilt kicker who became first female to play in division 1 game) do the actual sword pushing. All in all they have neat traditions and I'm sure pre and post covid it's a rocking atmosphere. At this game I was proud of browns fans. I'd say the crowd split had to be close to even between number of Titans and Browns fans. Very nice and cool stadium overall. Id definitely come back for another pro game or maybe a college game (my favorite team Louisville cardinals has played there in the past for neutral games and the music city bowl). Looking back my biggest memory will be that the browns pulled off the upset. They broke a franchise record for points in a half when they held a 38-7 halftime lead. Of course in typical brown fashion the final score of 41-35 represented a different story of how the game actually went. But 9-3 and guaranteed the browns an above 500 winning season. Browns haven't made the playoffs since 2002 and they control there own destiny right now so hopefully when I look back on this review a few years from now I'll be able to say I attended a game that helped end that drought. read more
