I had the most wonderful Henna experience with Nisha at a Yelp event at the Clay Pit! What a sweetheart you are and beyond talented. Nisha finished my design within minutes and with delicate precision. Very impressive how quickly and beautifully she works. I absolutely loved how it turned out and received so many compliments. Dainty and beautiful! Thanks so much! read more

Nisha is a one-woman wonder! She served as a pop-up vendor for the recent Yelp's 2025 Yelpies Awards, and absolutely did not disappoint. I'd never had henna done before, but after Nisha completed her design on my hand, I was seriously contemplating getting it permanently tattooed! I love how quick and talented Nisha is. She worked through a busy lineup of first-time clients at this year's event, and not a single design was replicated. Since there were a lot of first timers to henna, I DO wish Nisha provided a small aftercare instruction card so clients can preserve their temporary keepsake for as long as possible. Pro tip: Don't get it wet, don't pick at it, and keep it sealed using a DIY lemon & sugar solution. You'll thank me later! Depending on how well you follow the aftercare, henna can last anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. read more

Was at an even I attended at the Clay Pit in downtown Austin. Was such a wonderful, fun addition to the evening. I asked for something to represent lick, health and prosperity. She said she knew what I needed. It was hard not to use my hand or brush my hand against anything for like 45 minutes. Lots of ladies took advantage of this fun art before the meal. read more

Nisha has done my henna multiple times - for my wedding, my sister-in-laws wedding, and now to commemorate my first pregnancy. She's always amazing, detailed, and also super fun to be around! Her studio is sweet and comfortable and she has a sugar water concoction she puts on before you go that always makes my henna so dark and vibrant. I always feel so beautiful and her henna lasts a long time! I'd whole heartedly recommend her to anyone wanting their henna done in the central Texas area! She really knows how to make people feel special. I honestly can't wait to get my henna again with Nisha sometime soon! read more

My son was getting married in Austin and we are from NY. It was a traditional Indian wedding and we wanted all family and friends to enjoy the entire wedding experience, starting with getting elaborate henna for all our guests. Being unfamiliar with Austin, I was nervous about Nisha and her henna artists and their design skills. I wanted perfection...like what I'd seen on the east coast. Nisha and her team surpassed my expectations. They were absolutely amazing! All three ladies were talented artists, which isn't the case from my past experience. They didn't shy away from requests from family. Nisha and her team did the most beautiful job with the henna art on my daughter's hand. Our Indian relatives could not stop raving about how talented Nisha and her team were. read more

I am very delayed in doing this but I used Nisha for my wedding party prior to the wedding, we paid for her to come out for a few hours and do henna on everyone that wanted it including me. She is so sweet and friendly and she also has a boutique in her home that has a large variety of items. She also did the henna on my belly when i was pregnant with my daughter, I was going to get it for my son but he came 2 months early. I would highly recommend her services either way, she is very talented. read more

Nisha is so talented and has a lovely personality. She free hands amazing art on human canvasses, leaving everyone feeling more festive and attractive. You can provide her pictures of your inspiration or let her choose a design. Traditional or modern, geometric or abstract - Nisha is multitalented! The flowers she paints are particularly beautiful. She is creative, open minded and fun, too! read more

Nisha did my henna for my baby shower, and I am very glad that she did my henna! She was accommodating as my original henna artist cancelled, and I found Nisha last minute via Yelp. She promptly responded to my questions via text before the appointment. I just showed Nisha ~4-5 of her designs that I liked from her Instagram page and the final design was exactly what I wanted. The application took ~45 minutes and she applied sugar water once the henna dried. read more

*This review may be a little long, but it is worth the read!* If you're looking for a henna artist, look no further...NISHA IS AMAZING! She made my bridal henna so much more than I ever could have imagined! Her talent is impeccable and second to none. She listens carefully to what you're wanting and if you're not sure, she talks it through with you & helps you identify the style fitting your idea. No stencils about her, everything is freehand and comes perfectly natural. In fact, when she got to my feet, I asked if she could include cat faces (we have 2 cat children). She said, "you want cats, like kitty cats?...ok". She did a quick Google of cat henna, took one glance, clicked her phone off, and just did it! BOOM! Not only is Nisha SUPER talented, but she helps pass the time getting to know you. Being the white Amwrican girl marrying into a very culture-centric Indian family, I have been stressed out and often felt left out or looked down upon. Nisha helped me understand some things and gave me encouragement by sharing her own cultural insights while she carried on doing her masterpieces. She is also hilarious and makes you feel so comfortable! Now, on to the Mehndi/Sangeet/rehearsal dinner combo we held the night before our wedding. We asked Nisha to also do henna for all my bridal party, the women in both families, and any/everyone who wanted in on the henna fun. We're talking close to 30 people. She NAILED IT! Everyone was so impressed by her talent and ability to just knock it out so naturally. Nisha and her beautiful work was truly the highlight of everyone's evening. I had 9 bridesmaids alone...everyone had been looking forward to the henna for many months & they weren't disappointed. Seriously, I COULD GO ON AND ON! Stop questioning who you're going to choose or if you should have a henna artist or not. The answer is YES and her name is Nisha! read more

Went to get henna done before ACL with a friend, was a little hesitant to drive this far from downtown, but I'm so glad we did! Don't be put off by the location, even though it's a business run out of the owner's house, because the whole experience, albeit strange, was well worth it. She was super quick, very nice and happy to do whatever design you had in mind. One day out the quality of the henna she uses is apparent because it's not the super dark kind that has additives that can cause skin irritation. I got a an arm band/shoulder piece that was $45, and my friend got both her wrists and hands done for $60. Perhaps could have found cheaper, but I love supporting a small business! Will be going back in the future. read more

I just got my first Mehndi. I have always wanted one but at festivals where I see someone doing the henna designs - the line is always too long. At the St. Elias Mediterranean Fest, I lucked out. No line - and I got a Mehndi done for $10. I LOVE it and plan to get more. My design is beautiful and just what I asked for. It's cheaper than a manicure and much prettier. I am not sure where Nisha works but I plan to contact her and find out. read more

My friend really wanted some henna done for her birthday so I looked online and found Nisha and I'm so glad I did! I called her up and scheduled an appointment for both of us for that same afternoon. She was very friendly and welcoming and was extremely easy to work with. I fell in love with one of her designs but wanted it to extend further down my arm which she said was no problem. My tattoo was done in about fifteen minutes even though it was very detailed and intricate. My friend and I both walked out extremely satisfied and are already planning our next visit. This was my first experience with getting a henna tattoo. Female friends of mine in other cities had gotten them. I did not have anyone here in Austin to recommend a service. Based on the reviews of Nisha on apps such as Yelp I chose her business. I will not write an extensive review because all of the extensive reviews here are all incompassing of most which I would want to say. My one addition well maybe repetitive is Nisha is a very spiritually grounded woman. I walked into the room and felt the energy of the surroundings and when she stepped into the room there was a calmness ever present. We had a wonderful conversation and she shared with me what I would call a message from the universe which I did not prompt but had been in search of. The tattoo with she drew on my arm turned out amazing. Since it is temporary I will definitely go back at certain times throughout the year to have her draw another probably of the same symbol design. The tattoo by itself is worth the money! The conversation and wisdom is priceless... read more

Nisha Henna Arts is operated out of a cozy, enchanting room filled with tons of the henna artist's work. The walls have her paintings, drawings on it, as well as different furnishings. In a very short time, she created a beautiful design on my back. I felt completely comfortable and at ease. She explained the process to me step by step, and even reminded me of the after-care process before I left. I enjoyed our conversation and highly recommend her for anyone who is interested in henna. read more

Nisha hosted my baby shower/mother blessing in her home studio and it was exactly what I'd envisioned! Her studio is beautiful, with colorful Indian items and cushions giving it a festive and cozy feel. She worked easily with us to arrange all the details, including offering fair pricing, providing a nice big table to set out all the food we brought and suggesting I arrive early to dress me all up in a sari. That was SO much fun! She really goes the extra mile to give you the experience of your dreams. Her henna work is absolutely beautiful, and she does it so quickly! Nisha with Henna Arts is truly awesome! She is very talented but her awesomeness doesn't stop there she's always happy, smiling, and joy to converse with. She was recently the henna artist for two of my friend's weddings. For this last wedding she was worked on probably 50 ladies or more over several hours. She works fast! She also uses high quality henna with no chemicals. The henna dried VERY fast and absorbed very quickly. No need to keep it on overnight or use a lemon juice and sugar concoction to help it adhere for longer. Overall, we were very pleased and look forward to working with Nisha in the near future. read more

All I can say is that I seriously lucked out when I found Henna Arts! I did a Google search in Austin, came across Nisha's website and decided to give her a try for my very first henna/mehndi over a year. Not only was she personable and welcoming, she listened to me and interpreted what I wanted based on some photos I liked in her gorgeous portfolio. The resulting inspired designs were uniquely gorgeous and the detail of her work was absolutely stunning! As a fellow artist I truly appreciate her gift and knowing that she loves what she does makes it that much more special. I made an appointment for henna and left with breath taking designs on my hands and arms and someone I could call a friend. If you're looking for Henna, Nisha is *the* person to contact. You'll be more than satisfied...you'll be blown away. Promise! PS: She also carries a wide assortment of jewelry and accessories, so don't be shy!
